Who going to NEC this year for the Motorcycle Show 2004? Me and the Mrs have already bought the tickets......can't wait to go and sit on all the different bikes and get a feel before I decide which one to get for next year!

My brother has just been round on his new bike......a Honda Shadow! :shock: I had a go (as you do, not wearing his piss pot and shades by the way 8) )........minging! I am deffo not a cruiser type guy. I am proud to say.

The police in our area now use this yellow and red card system for riders.....Just wondered if any of you (or anyone you know) has recieved one of these cards and whether it was a tin box copper or a Spam European rider that dished it out. I got pulled over by a spam Euro rider and by a little "chat" at the side of the road got away with a seven day wonder. Do you guys think the "caution" system will work or is it just a case of trying to defer the pocket rocket riders?

well i think we all know my thoughts on riding in the wet, anyway was caught out yesterday in scotchland :wink: so i had over 150miles (circular) rain and grief :cry: what do you guys reckon is the best way to handle the rain....my method being, mainly back brake and quarter throttle through the corners in a relatively high gear..4th/5th hopefully loading the rear suspension and not the front. Why is it that if your using b/b 512k why does it download stiff at things like between 66-75k, I really cant get my brain round this :? Where does the 512k come into play, or this just another lot (of the many) sales shite that your hit with, to get you to part with your money.

Yep as stated in "the bar", I'm selling the YZF, I'm getting to auld n sore, I'm not giving up bike's, oh no!!!. But I'll go for a FJ1200 if I can find one, I know it wont be the balls out "head in the clocks, arse in the air" of the yzf, but thats life!. But it's all thanks to my bike smash from years ago, yep there's few thinks "showing up" now, bastard! :evil:

Just wondering what's the worse bike accident you guys have had? :?

On Friday I was in full XT adventurer "man of the hills" mode. I took the remote single track road from Talybont to the Nantymoch Reservoire. Have a look at your maps it is in Ceredigion, Mid Wales. This road climbs from sea level to well over 1000 feet in 5 miles, with sheer drops and blind hairpins. So, there I am thinking, what a road and what a perfect bike I had for this road. At this point I catch up a ............Gold Wing TRIKE!!!! Fully dressed with all the fairy lights. He let me through with a wave. I waited at the top of the pass. He pulled over and stopped. He and his wife were in their 70s and they were on the Round Britain Rally. Real Bikers Respect :sh…

on holiday from the 15th august........i am going to take my bike and hopfully going up to scotland! maybe wales! not decided! Just got my road tax bill, 117 euro's, i thought, bugger, thats expensive! But when i think back to what i had to pay to keep my bikes on the road in the uk, it seems cheap. Road tax for a litre bike 117 euro's (75 quid) Insurance (3rd party) 237 euro's (160 quid) MOT....it doesnt exist here for bikes! 235 quid to keep a litre bike on the road for a year doesnt seem so bad after all! How do your costs compare?

This is fucking great! Bloke buys a brand new Kwak cruiser for £8500 and it's RUSTY when he first takes delivery of it. Long term dispute goes on, resulting in a 4 hour siege at the bike shop in Exeter with Police Negotiators called in!
