Yep!, I had a spill, and no one to blame but me , quite simply to much front brake on cold tyre's!. Fekin shit my self more than anything else, typical front end slide, the thing is I was only doing bout' 3 mph  turnin' a sharp corner. But if the car that was coming round had been about 4 ft further towards me I would have slid into him  , thank fek I didn't!. Iv'e snapped the end off the gear lever y'know the piece that your foot goes under to lift with the rubber on it. And bent (very slightly) the clutch lever. Nothing major at all, I suppose I was very lucky, cause the way it landed I thought oh now the tank, the frame ect ect, bu…

My best friend is almost suicidal he got up this morning and his R6 is gone. Don't these people care about the effect this has on us? And all he got from the police was " There was quite a few bike thefts last night" Oh well thats alright then as long as he wasn't the only one!

It's from an American site obviously. Why can't Brit journalists (besides Dan Walsh) write stuff like this instead of the usual "Sports 600 shootout" bollocks? Read this...it's brilliant! http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mckaw/00w650.html

  5. I've got a theory that at least 50% of Bikers today are riding the bike that they think they should be seen on....rather than the bike that suits them. Examples: People riding bikes that are too tall for them to touch the floor properly. People riding bikes that are too heavy for them to manoevre at low speed. A combination of both....very dangerous IMO. Loads of heavier built, very tall people hunched up on sportsbikes with their beerguts flopping on the tank and their knees nearly under their chins. Seems to me that as it's fashionable to be seen on a sportsbike, common sense and practicality seems to go out of the window. So what about you....are you riding …

This is a riding skills question posed by Tony Carter. If you don't know who he is...then read on. Tony is very active in the Internet Bike Community and is the ONLY guy I will seek advice from. Reason: He's mid 40's, ex-Police Motorcyclist, ex Police Motorcyclist Instructor, and ex Police Motorcyclist instructor and Examiner to the Instructors. He retired from the Police a few years ago and is a motorcycle accident investigator for Boyes Turner Legal, a major Law firm. Tony is one of the 4 highest qualified motorcyclists in this country and is in demand by Police Forces all over the world to teach them. He's also an advisor to the Government on Biking issues, but as…

Hi, I think that it might be a good idea to write road tests on the bikes we own. This way people browsing the site would get an owner's eye view of machines, which will in almost all cases be at least as useful to folks as the tests they read in magazines. A case in point: None of the various little gremlins that afflict the CB1300 I owned (I was not alone) have ever been mentioned in a magazine test, and the CB has been tested by most if not all of them.

.....is something that you all need to embrace. 8) I've said it before and I'll say it again...not all oils are created equal. Every bike that I've ever put Silkolene in, has always shown a major improvement. That's why it's the ONLY oil I'll use! I changed the XT oil and filter yesterday and of course it was replaced with Silkolene semi synth. It previously had Castrol GPS in it (put in by the dealer) and as you know, that's also a quality oil. But I took the XT for a 60 mile run today....and what a difference! Smoother, quieter, felt a totally different bike. I know you're going to say that any oil and filter change will make the bike run better…
