Hi, I think that it might be a good idea to write road tests on the bikes we own. This way people browsing the site would get an owner's eye view of machines, which will in almost all cases be at least as useful to folks as the tests they read in magazines. A case in point: None of the various little gremlins that afflict the CB1300 I owned (I was not alone) have ever been mentioned in a magazine test, and the CB has been tested by most if not all of them.

my mate might be buying a second hand bike, but it still has over 80% finace left on it. ive heard people saying that buying a bike wiht finace still on it isnt good at all? whats it all about? can someone explain plz :s

if yamaha could build a new bike to exactly your spec, what would it be like? i wish yamaha would build a middleweight v-twin sports bike, half fairing, cheaper than fazer to insure, trellis frame(i love trellis frames!! 8) :roll: ) bugger, just realised i want a suzuki sv650 :oops: so what do you wish yamaha would build that they dont already?

What more can i say I passed the thoery on 18th june and now have just booked my practical for the 30th jun... i booked a cancelation. Can anyone give me any tips of the test and does the examiner have radio contact? Thanks Jon

.....is something that you all need to embrace. 8) I've said it before and I'll say it again...not all oils are created equal. Every bike that I've ever put Silkolene in, has always shown a major improvement. That's why it's the ONLY oil I'll use! I changed the XT oil and filter yesterday and of course it was replaced with Silkolene semi synth. It previously had Castrol GPS in it (put in by the dealer) and as you know, that's also a quality oil. But I took the XT for a 60 mile run today....and what a difference! Smoother, quieter, felt a totally different bike. I know you're going to say that any oil and filter change will make the bike run better…

The back shock on my 94' yzf750 is an Ohlin's (Iv'e just been on their site and saw it), but!!, is it an Ohlin's that's made under licence in Japan, or is the gen item!, how do you tell, anyone know! Much the same as this

While out a run yesterday we stopped at Luss, and a guy came up to me and asked what I'd done to my bike, eg why did I streetfighter it. I said I didnt, but to cut a long story short, he want's to swap his a perfectly good standard bike very same as mine but a 93' K reg. Now he's had (so he say's) his engine tuned but it's bored out, (I think), race cam's, gas flowed head and a stage 7 Dyno kit. Plus he's taken the exup valve away and got a full stainless Micron system on, he reckons his bike's just nder a 900cc. But none of his brake light's worked, or the rev couter/indicator's, he said it just needs the wire's connected. Y'see I'm looking for a standard bike an…

............cool or not? I am thinking of getting one, and colouring the "metzeler meZ3" bit on the tyre white, as it seems to be coming back into fashion. Does anyone do it, done it, or thinking of doing it? Don't fancy doing it, then realising that I look like a complete teapot! :oops:

In the west central Scotland area or there about's with vacum gauge's I could meet somewhere to and have my carbs ballanced, Or if they know someone who has, cheers. I know this probably sound's a bit daft, but I'm fed up with getting ripped off bith shops!

Me and Alex were talking about a big meet for everybody in the next few months. But the location will have to be a mutually convenient point for everybody. I'm in Mid Wales, Alex is in Brighton....so from those 2 locations the mutually convenient pont would be somewhere like Swindon. I think Derek is near Swindon too, and Mozzy is in Bristol, so that fits in with those guys. So can you post your locations here and we can try and gauge a central point that suits everybody.
