I just got back from Birmingham where I helped my daughter move house yet again, after several hours of humping bumping cursing and sweating we finally got all of her worldy possessions loaded into the hired van, then for the fun bit, I had to drive this big clapped out van (it was big and it was very cheap ) through the city centre to get to some place that even the sat nav couldn't find, luckily my daugter new where she was going so I just followed, of couse we got seperated a few times at some of the many traffic lights and so on but finally got there. Unfortuantly it was a very narrow road so I managed to block quite a few of the neighbours cars in their drives, of cโฆ

Ok this is the question. Are fake spark plugs actually bad for your engine? I only ask as I have just bought 4 plugs off of ebay for the FJ, they are normally around the ยฃ4/5 mark each but on good old ebay they are selling them (same numbers and size stamped on them) for about ยฃ1.75 each, now I have to ask, having looked at the plugs and compared them to a "genuine" one I can't for the life of me see any difference, I know all the stories of sweat shops and bad conditions for the workers and I'm aware that they may not last as long as the originals but I fail to see what if anything they can do to my engine other than go a "SPARKLY BLUE" colour when I apply a current to tโฆ

Hey there peeps. Ive just picked up a bike for missus Foamy, although it isnt motorised which kind of sucks , quite a retro looking thing though, a "Raleigh Cascade" although wether it is 'classic' or not i have no idea Basically over the next couple of months im gonna have it stripped down and tidied up in time to gift it to her for christmas, and whilst im fairly competant with most mechanical things ive never really worked on push irons before, and theres a few things im hoping someone on here will have done to their retro motors and can give me some advice. Namely the handlebars, they just look gash!, the grips appear to have been some sort of whiteโฆ

It's Saturday morning (just gone) and I'm minding my own business in the garage fixing stuff and in comes the wife with a ginger kitten "look what I found" she says, Ok it's a cat say I and that as far as I'm concerned is the end of the matter, men don't do subtle do they? But women do !! 10 minutes later she's still there stroking this flea ridden scruffy lump and I'm starting to get that feeling that all men get when their women start hanging around when they normally don't, you know what I mean, suddenly they are where ever you are and showing interest in stuff that they have never shown an interest in before, so finally starting to understand that I'm required to showโฆ

Hey peeps. I've noticed recently that there aren't any Facebook groups for the southern area of the UK, so I started one. Private adverts only, nobody wants dodgey raybans. Linky: https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=353780921438891

Aaargh. Not me but my eldest just been taken off her pushbike in central London whilst on her way to work. Van driver opened his door on her and gave her the choice of his door or going under the oncoming traffic. Helmet saved her head but after X-rays it looks like a fractured Scaphoid (what else !). Plastered up for another two weeks and then second set of plates and then a decision on further treatment. The knight of the road that caused this managed to bugger off in the ensuing confusion - bastard. To make matters worse she's a professional musician and has an audition for the BBC Philharmonic in a fortnight. That ain't happening now. Always thought I was the most likโฆ

Peeps. Me and one of my buds from back home have been talking about getting a bike cafe/workshop, maybe somewhere on the south coast with a marine workshop out back for winter. But anyway, apparently Loomies is shutting down in October, so I thought why not start with that? Any business partners out there fancy it?

yesterday I was for a trip on peak district and when I come back I leave the bike on the drive way. that was at 7 PM... at 11 PM I go to park the bike in garage and surprise... the handlebars was in not correct position.. also a footprint on the seat... the f morons was trying to broke the imobilizer and bend the handlebars risers.. and that was between 9-10 PM I think. the alarm don`t was full armed so I don`t hear anything but I guess they give up after several attempts. i`m going today on my mechanic to see if is anything else broken, I hope the handlebars are ok.

I have had RD400-1 SORN since I the old tax ran out in January. I just went to tax it and the DVLA site informs me that since the bike isn't SORN and hasn't been taxed since January I might get communication from the enforcement people (I am sure that means a fine). I am sure it was SORN'ed so I check back through my emails and, lo and behold, there is an email confirming the bike was SORN'ed on 29th January. The road tax website has a helpline number so I call it, after much pressing of numbers to make sure I get through to the right person, a message telling me the call will be recorded and many messages to tell me they are very busy I get through to a person. I expโฆ

If like me you have ever owned or you are interested in mini's you will find this interesting. Quote: It seemed like a good idea at the time. Take one rotten 1980 Mini 1000 and one Toyota Celica GT-Four and use all their guile, cunning and skill to graft them together to create a Frankensteinโs monster of a car. http://www.badobsessionmotorsport.co.uk/test/index.php/projects/binky
