Got a bloody great screw in my back tyre , goes right through the tread not the side wall. Have any of you used one of these tubeless tyre repair kits at all? I have one on order but not sure if they are a temporary fix only or a permanent fix, do any of you know which it is? Looked at the "Mushroom" type but the write ups are a bit on these are not to good so bought a push through string thingy, do these work on=k and again are they just a temp fix or do I have to fork out £150 plus for a new bloody tyre?

My wife called me yesterday & said that Chunk our pet chocolate lab had all the symptoms of canine bloat she'd got him to the vets but it wasn't looking good she was sitting outside the surgery in tears waiting for the results of the xray bye the time i got there the Vet was coming out to speak to her, turned out it wasn't what she feared but wasn't much better, when they showed us the xray and pointed out what I assumed was his stomach was in fact a tumor about the size of a rugby ball they couldn't tell what organ it was until they operated best case scenario would be it was his spleen anything else they said it would be kinder not to wake him from the opp. We we…

Ok as some of you know I went and bought myself a nice shiny FJR as a present to myself, it's the 2001 model so does not have all the electrical crap that the new ones do, anyway I knew that it needed a new radiator when I bought it, not leaking but really had a hard life sitting at the front of the bike right behind the front wheel which spits gravel and road crap up at it all day long, long story short went to the Owners club for a new rad and they do a genuine one at £615 + VAT or a Chinese one for £120 + VAT, so EBAY is my next stop and got one for £75 brand new next day delivery from China ( bloody hell!) then the not to small task of fitting it, been 8 days now, you…

Hi All I am looking for a complete exhaust (new) for a 95 XV750 Virago, I have been trawling the internet and can't get any straight answers from anyone, at this time I have no exhaust on the bike and every one wants to sell me a part system or slip on's, when I am emailing the suppliers I am just getting conflicting answers, "like yes sir it is complete, it comes with all the fixings needed to couple it to your existing pipes"...Grrrr! or "we wouldn't sell half an exhaust" Grrrrr! Can any nice intelligent Yamaha owner give me some help with this one please? Joe

At night, I keep hearing a noise coming from outside which sounds like a husky snoring, at first I though my next door neighbour was sleeping with the window open. But tonight, when I was push starting my bike, around half 9 maybe 10 oclock, I saw this bird circling around the mountain which i instantly thought was one of the two peregrin falcons that live on the mountin by me. but, upon googling, they don't make a noise that's anything like snoring! I'm at a bloody loss, I;ve been googling for ages and I just want to know which creature I have to blame for the bloody noise! Anyone have any ideas?

Spent the day out on my bike today had a brilliant time but I had a wake up call on my first leg of the jorney. Riding along the M25 and there were more police cars than I have had hot diners, at first I thought that they had heard that I was on the road but no several miles down the road the inside lane was shut off by dozens of police cars and it appeared that they had forced a car off the road onto the hard shoulder as it had been going the wrong way, it makes me shudder to think what could have happened.

Well that didn't last long did it? Just said the bike was all up together and how nice it would be not to have to worry about anything cos I had fixed it all, yeah right, went to Portsmouth yesterday about 300 miles and all going swimmingly when I decided to give it the beans just to blow the dust off you understand, and I have the worst clutch slip imaginable !!! So it's now in bit's in the garage while I try to figure out if I need a complete new set of plates or can just make do with a set of cork plates. Plus it's pissing oil out of the bottom of the barrels so a new set of base gaskets as well. Next time I even think about saying how fixed it is I'm going to bite my …

Hey folks, I was thinking last night that maybe it would be cool to see if i could dig out / find any history on the CB chop that i have just bought, but is this actually possible? All i have got is a frame number and engine number and just know that it was imported from the States? Is there any sites that anyone knows of that gives history of vehicles over the pond? would love to find out who the owner was back in the day. Also i have to try and get hold of a dating certificate, anyone know the best way to do that as well?

Just been looking on EBAY (yes I know I shouldn't) and it surprises me how the price of bikes fluctuates re: the time of year, just seen what I can only describe as a bag of bolts held together by cobwebs and snot and the asking price was well over a grand, now not more than 4 or 5 weeks ago the same type of thing was only about £300, has it always been like this? I mean I don't buy many bikes but does it always jump up at this time of year? I seem to remember when bikes were a cheap means of transport and only for the broke or insane back in the day now it seems that these pocket rockets are going up and down in price almost on a weekly basis, am I missing something? You…
