That may explain the problem. I live right next to an A road ( 50 mph ) so I've been running on idle for 10 - 15 mins before I set off so I can get up to speed quickly. I'll go for a few long runs this weekend without idling for too long and go from there. Cheers!

So done 300km so far. Was worried its not smoking enough so discovered the spring behind autolube pump wasn't in properly. This was fouling the pump preventing it from actuating all the way (good thing I decided to add some oil to the tank at least while running in. Put spring back properly and happy to see she`s chewing oil now..in fact light went on today so need to top up. Been advised to set throttle needles up one notch as she seems to be wanting more air (adjusted aircrews 2.5 turns out and it ran better). Flat spots between 3500-4500rpm and after 6500rpm. Have decided to paint tank and plastics later..first want to run this bad boy in to see what she can do.

I think it's a case of if they had rubbers then they need to be in good condition if not then it's not a problem, my Suzi had all metal pegs and that passed.

A message from my number 1 son yesterday as he was going to Whitehaven to cycle from there to Tynemouth on a coast to Coast cycle ride (140 miles) to raise some money for charity; "These people up north don't half talk funny. I only wanted a coffee and a cheese & ham toastie and she rambled on for 5 minutes about do I like bacon or ham?! X" He set off on the ride early this morning and a text at 7:30 said it was tipping it down as they went to pedal off.

I like the idea but there comes a time when there is so much going on that you forget what your actually doing, riding a bike, I have no wish to see what is behind me on a screen as well as the 2 mirrors that are already there. At 6 or 7 hundred pounds it's a very expensive toy, just another gimmick for the power rangers to brag about. All us normal people can actually look behind us if we're that interested.
