  1. Just to let you know the FJ has passed it's MOT this morning , Yippee, so off and out today before the rain gets here to have a bit of a blast round the local roads. Going to go to Ledbury for a trip out to pick up the wife's birthday pressie and a good excuse to blow the dust off of the bike. Going to use the camera to take a video of the trip so I can get an idea of how it looks from the cockpit, this thing is AWESOME it goes like a bloody missile. Tasky is right this thing is a motorway muncher.

  3. Elvis Use your bike for (temporary) donor parts until you find the fault. Then replace the dodgy part, flog it on as a runner and pass your bloody test

Just got back, I have to say that this bike is so much more than I imagined, fast responsive and pulls in what ever gear your in, have a broken speedo unfortunately but easy to fix so not sure how fast I was going but everything seemed to be a bit of a blur !! Made it to Ledbury ,25 miles, in about 30 minutes and it takes me in the car about 3/4 of an hour so I am one happy bunny.

  6. those was shops dirty for service manuals, like ebay, amazon and any other online shop nothing illegal. and the owner manual is for free for everyone, no copyright needed.

Back in the day my honda cb125 broke down the day before my test so I borrowed my uncles honda 50, one ride round the block, emergency stop, read the number plate from about 10 ft, a couple of easy questions on highway code then straight round to my mates to by his 650 BSA. It was tough in those days

  13. Well if its lean then going up with the clip will make it leaner if anything you want to go down. But why are you driving around at 3-4 k rpm no power there they don't turn on till 5k + and thats where they like to run keeps the plugs clean and not loading up the motor.Chuging around a 3k you will foul plugs and mabey thats what happening. Do a plug chop and check what they look like.

  15. Drag tanks are great. Nice biiig things, far better than the silly lemon shape of Intruders or the upswept things on Viragoes. This was still an actual Drag tank, though, just painted over. Rider was a typical moody Harley boy, as well. Just stared at me snootily, rather than noding and smiling as I did!

  17. was aligned with verniers, then re checked with a steel rule after tightening, had the sprocket cover off and it was filthy inside - gonna take a proper look at the weekend - will keep yous posted. that file faireys are a pain in the arse, they made my numberplate really small one night....
