    I just installed some LED indicators but they don't flash. If I pull out the idiot bulb then they flash but the LED's stay on in-between flashes, they're just dim. I am using the flasher relay that was included with the set that I bought. How can I get them to flash with the idiot bulb installed aswell? Cheers

    Right got the Mrs a 2007 xt 125r, I'm currently restoring it to its former glory, I'll start with what I've done already, so I picked it up and it has seen better days, seat was ripped, plastics were knackered, chain and sprockets were shocking, the exhaust wasn't even connected and the can has about 60 holes in it, I've recovered the seat in blue and black leather, changed all the plastics for original blue and black, bought some Supermoto wheels and fitted the new rear sprocket (still need to fit them to the bike) got a new can coming and bought a new speedo as the one on the bike was smashed, this is where my issue is, I bought the clocks from eBay where it was adverti…

    Hi, I recently purchased a dt125 sm 2005 and I thought I shall rebuild her. Ordered a wossner piston kit, and I came to realise it wouldnt fit, as the old piston is .25 oversize!! So with the old piston being in reasonable condition I put it back together and now I'm back on the bike (it now runs and starts better but it doesn't tick over without the choke on and bogs down before the power band??????) A: does having an oversize piston and barrel to suit = more power? B: would it be better/easier to go back to standard barrel and piston size? Thanks for any help in advance!! Just trying to learn

  4. Hi I've recently bought my first bike, an XT 125 and have been told the head light is not great. Could anyone tell me how to actually get to the bulb as it looks pretty tight and can't really see a way to remove the whole front plastics. Thanks

  5. Hi folks, I need a bit of help understanding carb set up . Barrel porting standard, k & n filter in airbox, 35/1 pre mix so using 135 (instead of 130 ) main jet. Bike ran quite well from tick over, ( but surged on over run) . Once fully warmed the engine started pinking so I've raised the needle a notch, pinking gone, less surging, bike pulls better apart from virtually closed to 1/8 ish throttle ! So I've opened air screw to three full turns and it's a lot better but not perfect. Question is do I need a smaller pilot jet ? Hi everyone, it's great to be back, Dave.

    Hi everyone.I've got an intermittent fault on my 05 dt,one minute it goes like stink then it seems to go into a limp mode if I pull the throttle past 2000rpm it just completely dies nearly cuts out .I've checked and changed the plug,nice tan colour emptied the float no water or crap in it took the snorkel off the airbox no difference.it went fantastic a few weeks ago then I put a brand new dep can on it and it started playing up.its now with a bike mechanic,spoke to him today and he says he's stripped the carb it's not that,checked the ht lead not that,checked the piston not that.now he says I owe them 4hrs labour and that he doesn't know whats wrong with it, his advice i…

    first time posting new to this just looking for some help with a problem I have with my dtx125 06 plate. basically I bought a dt 125 x but converted it to the off road version the bike has only 4,000 miles spent it's life in a shed! the bike has a full dep system and been fully derestricted and a piper cross air filter, now the problem I am having is when the bike is first started you can not touch the throttle for a good ten minutes of ticking over otherwise it's seems to flood and cut its self off, when the bike is warm it will run fine... on road take the bike off road and pin the throttle open over bumpy surface the bike loses power and does the same what it doe…

    Hello all, I am new to this forum and dual sport world so I apologize in advance if my questions seem redundant or ignorant. A few weeks ago I purchased a 1986 XT600 in good running order so I could get back out onto the trails that we have here in Colorado. The only issue I have found is that when you shut it down fuel pours out of the primary Carb down onto the crankcase. my assumption is that the float is sticking because if you tap on the side of the carb it stops. The bike sat for 2 years because the person I purchased it from bought a new 650. I just have a few questions hopefully someone can help me with. 1) How difficult is it to rebuild these carb? …

  17. SOLVED - See reply. I think I've got a problem on my '78 DT175 (she started life as a 125, but wears a MX175 Top End). I'll run it by you guys though, to see what you think before I go hair-pulling. Years ago I converted my DT to 12 Volts, using a SH522 Rectifier/Regulator Combo (pretty much the same thing as the SH570 that NEO used on his UK 12 Volt Conversion). Fast forward to this year, I wanted to check to make sure everything was tip-top on the lil DT before I took her in for Inspection (to be road legal).     Hi Guys. New here and new to bikes in general. I currently have a '93 DT175 that needs a little love. I need to replace the battery but am not sure if it's a 6v or 12v system. The battery has all its markings worn off but measures a little under 6V. With the battery removed I get about 7v on the terminals while idling. Because if this I initially assumed it was a 6v system. However, All the bulbs installed are 12v. Only one indicator works and the flasher relay is struggling. The service manual says to use 12v bulbs and a GM3-3B 12v battery. Also if I check a different part manual the battery has part number 1E6-82110-12 which Google…
