Hi again, all.. My latest quest is for any type of t-shirt/jacket/etc that is specific to the FJ 1200. I've searched and searched and only found one t-shirt that dealt with the FJ, and the vendor was in the UK I believe. Even Yammie authorised suppliers have no items along these lines. I've considered using Cafe Press, but would need to have print ready art work. Ge, I ask the most inane questions, eh? Thanks much for the tolerance and any info! Pilot

Hello Yam owners! I signed up to the forums to get some help on some tyres for my '96 DT 125. Basically I got some nobblies on there at the moment and they are looking more like slicks as they're bare! I am looking to get some road/super moto tyres on the bike mainly for the looks and grip on the road. I am not great with bike mechanics or knowing what i need to get or where to get anything which needs replacing. So I ask for your help, I am from the UK and I have just left education so I am feeling the wrath of debt so I am looking for the best budget tyres, help with sizing etc! Here is some pics of what I got.

Ok so I have owned this lovely little thing for 5 weeks now. Almost covered 600 miles (dont get out much with the kids around) and I am booked in for the 6 week service next week and I thought I would give you all a quick review of the machine. But first a little tarting: There tarting over, now onto the serious business. In the 3 years since passing my Direct Access I have owned a 1991 GSXR750. The last of the oil cooled slingshots, and a Honda Firestorm, before getting the XJ6. I have been eyeing up the new XJ since its relaunch. All of a sudden the fugly Divvi's got really good looking but the heart won out and I got the Storm instead. Something abou…

So I recently got a 57 plate YBR125 from my ex. He damaged the clocks back last year and refuses to give me the replacement brackets. I managed to get a set of the outer casing from ebay but whilst I started to put them on I realised hes also broken the two circular things with the glass (well plastic) in. Is there anywhere I can get just the clock plastic covering without buying the whole clocks bit? If no one understands me I'm sorry.

Hello all, so I have bought a cheap Thunderace, but it's not very well lol. Rear shock has no oil in it, forks only travel about 60mm, seized EX-UP valve, temp gauge doesn't work, end can held on by a jubilee clip that doesn't actualy do anything ! The bike has been resprayed, not very well, and the fairings have a lot of broken bits and cracks. The good points are, 25,000 miles with all the old mot's to back it up, and loads of service history. Im going to get this bike right up together, and have all the fairings fixed and a complete respray including the wheels. So far I have removed the rear shock, and taken it to a specialist to be serviced. Here is a co…

It's been a while since I posted last. Still have my xs500b, and it's running as well as it ever has, but I recently bought an 03 YZF 600R. Currently making sure that everything there is all good, and trying to decide whether to sell my 500, or hold onto it and slowly turn it into a full cafe racer.... odds are, that's a pipe dream. Too much money that I could be spending on other things. In the meantime, heres the newest addition to my garage. The Fox and Skin decals are going to be the first to go.....

Hi All I am a little confused with the wiring of the electronic ignition on a 1993 SR125 Book shows:- 4 wires going to the pulser coils, 2 to each, (are both pulser coils for timing?) 1 wire going to the Ignition coil, as expected 3 wires just going between the electronic ignition to the sidestand relay The other wire on the sidestand relay going to the sidestand, neutral, and clutch switches Why 3 wires between the two, is this a diagram mistake? and lastly (maybe not) what actually powers the CDI Hope you can help Ade

Hi, I am looking at 50mm jack up dog bones, sorry to be a bit thick here, but does it mean that the dog bones are 50mm longer or shorter ? I want the bike to turn quicker, but I also want the rear end to be higher, with a bigger gap between the back wheel and the tail. If someone could explain this to me, and has anyone done this, and thought it was to high, should I go for 35mm instead ? Thanks.

Hi folks, Picking up my new XJ6 Diversion tomorrow, and was wondering if there is anything I should be doing to keep it tip-top. My previous learner YBR suffered some pretty bad pitting and exhaust rusting in just 5000 miles, but I know it is a more cheaply constructed bike. I've heard of people going to town with ACF-50, is that something I should be looking into? It'll be used for a daily 2x30min commute in whatever the Surrey weather can throw at me :-) Cheers

Good day everybody! Nice to be here! Quick question! When I take my new SZ 16 also SZ-R in some markets (same engine as the FZ16) in for a scheduled oil change the dealer service tech says that it should only take 1 liter of oil when the manual say 1.2L. Yes, the filter was also changed! Any thoughts?? I don't want the oil level to be low as I hear this is bad on the clutch! Cheers!

Some thieves tried to steal my bike the other night and in the process broke my steering lock (although my disc locks stopped them making off with it). Now I'm just after a guide or some info on how i can remove or replace it since the steering is snagging up now when i turn lock to lock which is obviously not ideal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
