hi has anyone altered or know anyone who has altered the rear of a thunderace or cat i love the bike to bits but not a lover od the bulkier rear end was thinking of putting a R1 tail on, also would like to put a moto gp style can on the end and need to source a 3 bolt flange any help would be apreciated robert

hi, i have a thunderace on a 1996 but uses a lot of oil! im thinking of changing the engine for a later one. do these burn oil and up to what year would the engine fit with out mods? Any help would go along way!!

Hi Yamaha guys, I recently got a DT125 Yamaha Enduro for free, it didnt run. I saw a picture of it on facebook, and was interested, because my dad had one just like it when he was a teenager. I didn't want to pay a lot for it. I saw the guy a few weeks later and told me if I really wanted it I could have it. So I went and picked it up on Sunday. My dad took a good hard look at it, and he reconized the knobby front tire and the yamaha sticker on the oil tank, it was his old bike! I believe it had three owners after my dad. i have my SR 400 carburetor cleaned, slow jet was kind of too big, so i re-jet the carburetor with 40 Size pilot jet. I checked everything, the Needle was set to middle. Pilot screw is now set to 1 1/2 turns. Floater is properly adjusted so it won't overflow. Bike runs well, spark plug looks cleaner now. New air filter etc as well. I did all above because few reasons. 1.) Bad fuel economy, failed the green test (now passed) 2.) The IDL RPM goes up and down in a weird way and if i accelerate suddenly it stops, drop dead. Not a big issue while riding but i wanted to get rid of it. First problem i think is solved now because spark plug looks pretty good. Second problem…

Hi friends, i am in the process of getting my bike in good shape , i need the main & pilot jet sizes for my bikes carburetor. it has Mikuni BST34 (diaphragm Carburetor). I believe the model of my bike is somewhere in 90's to have this carburetor. If you guys know this, please let me know, i searched everywhere, finding a manual is not easy either . Also if you know correct float height settings let me know, thanks a million.

hey all just wondering if any 1 can tell me if my virago 535 is restricted as it will only do about 70,75 mph!! i have spoken to overs and they say they top out over 90mph sum even 100mph? if any 1 could help me that would be great cheers

Hi, everyone, my name is Trevor and I ride an XJR 1300. I've just bought my son a YBR 125 and I'm replacing the lower fork legs as the old ones are all corroded. Does anyone know if a 2006 wheel will work with 2007-on forks and caliper. I've just bought some lower fork legs but they are 07-0n. Unfortunately the brake side is different. So I think my only option is to fit 2007-on caliper as well but dont know if this will work with a 2006 wheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Guys firstly want to say hi as in new to the board and new to riding. I have got myself a 06 reg yamamha YBR 125 as my first bike to ride around on before I go to take my full bike license and I was just wondering if there anything I should do or know abotu the bike before I start to use it? ive heard a few rumors about the headlight and to get the bulb replaced asap? Hey peeps i got my fz1-n last week and im looking at replacing the exhaust ! ive seen a vid by (COPPERDAWG ) on youtube he removes the exup valve and cables and then continues to gut the cat by removing the honeycomb material ! do i have to do this for a slip on can and will i have to get a remap ?

I have a YBR 125. I would like to upgrade to a 15t front sprocket for more top end speed. Now the problem I have is the chain. How many links should I buy the chain for this new sprocket. I know that the standard sprocket is 14t and the standard chain is 428 pitch and 118 links. Should I buy one with 1 link more? Thanks

Has anyone fitted the R&G "tail-tidy" http://www.rg-racing.com/RGProducts/productgallery.aspx?page=1&sku=LP0079BK To a recent Yamaha XJ6 Diversion and still have all the original parts for the Yamaha supplied hugger, licence plate bracket etc. etc? I need to refit the original parts to my XJ6 since the pannier brackets and the position of the R&G bracket cause the sling-over panniers to obscure the rear indicator lights. The original parts will "push out" the indicators from the rear of the bike so they become visible beyond the panniers. If I can refit the original I will then have an R&G tail tidy to sell. :-) Regards, Clive Long

Hi Everyone, I have a problem with the start up of my YBR125. The bike will start with the choke reasonably well but after a few minutes, the bike struggles to even slightly rev up (after necessary adjustment to choke). As a result, the bike cuts out. I must point out the bike runs beautifully once fully warmed up. The bike has been into Yamaha and they have said there is nothing wrong with it, I think differently. All my other bikes (owned a few) I've been able to start, leave to warm up for a few minutes, get on and go. This bike is quite the opposite. Could anyone help with possible solutions?
