Hi there, I am a new member I will be posting my hello shortly after this. I recently passed my test and picked up a brand new XJ6-N in red, im thinking that this bike has streetfighter potential which i am aiming to work towards and will be posting my progress on the projects file very soon. Hey folks, I'm a hardened commuter cyclist of 8 years but I decided I needed more range and power so I took my CBT and the rest, they say, is history... I've been riding my shiny new (well second hand with 500 miles on the clock) black 2005 YBR125 around for a few weeks now. Thoroughly enjoying it but on the fast A roads at around 50-60mph I'm getting battered by the wind and the bike is feeling a little unstable. From what I've read I could really benefit with a fly screen but alas I can't find one to buy anywhere! Does anyone know where I can get one or if indeed they have one for sale? Hi All Its time to look into replacing the brake pads on the bike , they have done over 25k and one of the fronts is looking low . Bike used daily for commute . Anybody used EBC HH brake pads on anything? I am last of the late brakers which is due to owning hot Minis for years and blasting them around the lanes and track days. Thought I would go for the HH rather than the normal basic pad . EBC have given me the following part numbers : Front standard pad FA199 Rear standard pad FA140 Front sintered pad FA199HH Rear sintered pad FA140HH 2 sets of front HH pads and a set of rear HH just under £64 all in with vat and delivery , not bad I though…

Hi guys,just bought a new bike battery with separate acid pack.Can i charge it with car battery charger?Although did a small research regarding that,want your all opinion aswell as answers to this question are ranging from " Oh yes,if used carefully" to "Oh no you'll explode the battery".Charger itself is Halfords make for engine 1800cc and over.Fast charge rating is 7.5adc,slow/standart 5.5adc Any help is appreciated

Hi i recently purchased a Yamaha SR125 it was ok when i went to see it, but as it was late by the time i got home i just took it out the car and put it in the garden. Anyway it takes a long time to get the engine started messing with the choke (which doesnt stay out, it has to be held out) and once its warmed up (which takes about 10 mins of holding the choke out) during the first week or so of using it after getting it started it always cuts out at junctions and traffic lights unless i keep revs on, and then the other day i took it out and was going along a 40 mph road and it tried cutting out but the more i pulled on the throttle to keep gas on the more the engine …

I had a problem yesterday with My brother's 2004 Vstar 1100. No motion!! He would let out the clutch, the driveshaft would spin, but no wheel movement!! When we took it apart we found that the part they called "clutch hub" which has a gear in the middle of it that meshes with the rear differentil. He ordered the hub, my question is did another problem cause this to happen?? By changing this hub will he be fixing the problem or treating a symptom?? Like I said it's a 2004 but he rides allot, he has about 41000 miles on it!! Any input would be appreciated!! Thanx DOC

I have a 1982 XS400 DOHC i purchased as a project. Cleaned the carbs and got it running and then one day it just wouldnt start. I am in the process of tracking down all the electrical gremlins this thing has. I found this connection just hanging down under the battery near where all the wires go down under the motor. It looks like it clips to something and has two black wires going to it. I think possibly a ground but not sure. It is a round cap similar to what would go over the terminals on a starter solenoid, has two black wires going to it, and then inside has two copper clips that look like the go around something. I dont see anything hanging under it to connect to. P…

Hi, I bought some some Givi luggage for my new (2nd-hand) XJ6 Diversion. The racks fit securely, even if the fitting process was fiddly. However, the T275 rack slightly obscures the rear indicators and the situation is worse , in my opinion, when the panniers are fitted. On my XJ6 one part of the rack lies "in front" of the indicator lenses, hopefully that is clear on the attached photographs. Hi guys my mates dad is possibly selling one of these and i should get first offer of it its J reg with 84000 on the clock it needs a bit of a tidy up but nothing major it seems to run well other than the clutch needing bleed as has trouble down shifting(mates dad said he would fix that).. just after any info with regards to pros and cons of the bike in general and anything else i should be checking if i get the offer of it... cheers the now guys

Hello everyone. Now I have ordered a technigas exhaust for my TZR50 and after looking at how to remove mine I have found a problem. My original downpipe has some sort of small metal pipe going to it that goes back to a little black box. Now my replacement pipe doesn't have such hole. Has anyone faced this problem before or know what I can do. Mine is a 55 plate am6. Thanks.
