Hello Everyone, I am a new rider with a YZF 600R. Recently my bike started allowing me to take off with the kickstand down. For obvious reasons I want to fix this. I've tried to find similar posts and have found very little. Sounds like some switch has gone bad. Any Advice?

Does anybody no where I can get the Yamaha Tank Decals from for my virago xv750 (1983) the ones ive come across the screw hole are to far apart (106mm) mine are 102mm centre to centre any help would be appreciated thank Gary

Hey i was wondering if anybody could help. I recently had an attempted robbery on my bike and i have wired the barrel again which had the wires ripped out. I used different wires to extend how much wire was coming off the barrel and wired it all back up again. It started first time and i was really happy. The next day i tried starting again and it was just turning over and the engine management light was flashing with one long flash and 8 or 9 fast flashes after that. Can anyone help in what i have to do??

Hi guys. So I'm running into an interesting situation. I have resurrected my uncle's old bike that was sitting for a while. It is now idling fine and will start in about 2 tries. However when I try to ride the bike won't rev past 6k no matter how much throttle i give it even though it can rev up to 14k. It's having trouble going above 50 mph. Does anyone know what could be going on?

Has anyone else experienced the handle bars shaking on their xj600s diversion? It happened when i took my hand off the handlebars to stretch my back as my backpack was quite heavy. I was going around 30 mph.

Hi all, I have purchased a yamaha r6 from the year 2004. The engine has a pretty low mileage of 8900. The bike has not been used for the last few years with the last owner. Now a couple of days ago Ive been having some problems with my gearshifting. from neutral to 1st is oke and no problem. Then from 1st into the second gear it shoots into neutral. If i try this over and over again eventually it will change gear, Then from 2nd gear until six there is no problem at all. Does anyone know what the cause may be? I've read that the 99-02 models had some problems with the 2nd gear but this should be solved in my model. I can't find any simual topics with this pro…

Hi the owners handbook shows that the handle bars can be adjusted into a forward and back position. Can anyone please tell me if I can do it and how or do I have to go to a dealers. Thanks

I have a XJR1200 1995 with new exhaust pipes and origonal silencers direct no more muffler collector box at the end of the silencer pipes there is a riveted disc with a small opening in the center is about just under 1 inch, the question is how big should I make it to get a bigger sound like on a Harley? any suggestions At the moment the rear section is riveted with 3 rivets so I could drill them out to remove the section to make a larger opening. my e mail is [email protected]

Hi all hoping for a little help/advice .I have an fzr600 1990 (see gallery) the fuel tap on these bikes are prone to snapping.was wondering if there are any direct replacements of the usual metal type.those of you in the know will be aware the fzr has a long plastic one. Hi, I'm due to pick up my tracer sometime after Sunday - when it stops raining. Notice that yamaha have just added the accessories list to the website. Bit disappointed that the back rack cannot take a top box for touring. I'm sure aftermarket suppliers will make one but wonder if this will be able to be used with the ABS yamaha side luggage? Or if it will need a carving of plastic job to get the top box rack on which will then not fit with the side racks. I suppose Givi will also make side racks but the yamaha ones look smart. The yamaha rack will be be let doen with only a soft luggage option. Anyone have any thoughts?? cheers

Bought a 1989 radian a couple months ago and plan on doing some stuff to it this winter. rather than make multiple threads with separate questions I figured I would make one with a couple questions for you all. 1. I would like to go mono shock, what stock bikes with monoshocks have swing arms that would bolt into my frame with minor mods or no mods? 2. If I have to use the stock arm can I swap to a disk brake? 3. Do pod filters require syncing or rejetting? 4. What streetbike tanks have a center tunnel that I could use? Feel free to answer what you can and give me insight thanks!
