I just picked up my first bike, 1986 FZ 600. I am new to street bikes but familiar with motorcycles in general since i used to race motocross, this might seem like a stupid question but the fuel on/off switch on my bike i cannot figure which is on and off. I just want to make sure. Thanks KyleM

Hi all, new to this forum & need some help. I want to change my fixed handle bars with the type that can be clamped on so I need to change the top yoke. Ive heard that an old FZ600 top yoke would fit, can any one confirm my measurements or suggest anything else?? If you can imagine the fork holes and centre hole as a T The distance between the centre of the forks (across the top line of the T end to end) is 186mm and the distance between the centre of the top line of the T down to the centre of the centre hole is 35mm Make sense? Fork diameter is 35mm Any help would be apprciated.

I've got an XJ6fa as well, it's my first big bike. I had a 50cc scooter before, so the motorcycle world was really new to me. I'd bought it new in April this year and iv clocked 3000 miles so far, I seen to can't get enough of it. It's a bike I really love, perfect for newbies like me. It also has a nice design =) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, unfortunately I'm looking to put a topbox on my new Fazer and, apart from wondering if I'll be able to get my little legs over when I already keep kicking the pillion handles, I'm unsure which is the best option. I'm looking to potentially being able to add panniers for some touring activity so was edging towards Givi but their top box seems to sit soooooo high. Has anybody fitted any tob boxes/panniers to their Fazers or FZ8. Cheers guys David

Hi all. Ive got a Thundercat and have lately have been thinking about buying a set of aftermarket clip ons, and setting them under the yoke as opposed to the standard ones being above. Am i able to do this? Has anyone done it and how did they find it? Cheers

Hi , Anyone have protection bars fitted on there XJ6 ? I have been thinking about fitting some and am looking at either SW Motech or Hepco and Becker but open to suggestions regarding other brands . Both the brands mentioned have a picture on website but they are not good . In fact i cannot get on the main Hepco site at all . Would appreciate some pictures and thoughts of what you have fitted , regardless of brand . Thanks David.

Hello, I've recently got myself the lovely XJ6 SP and I'm trying to figure out what exhaust to stick on it. After some research, I've narrowed it down to the Ixil Dual Full system exhaust. Has anyone on here got the same system? If so, what are your thoughts? I can get it for £455 which is a decent amount cheaper from a Leo Vince system. Just like to know if you'd recommend it if you have one. Thanks.

Hey all, I need to find a road bike for a female rider who is 5' 4", not particularly long in the leg, can cope with around 27-28" easy enough so could probably stretch to . Looking for something like a Bandit or Fazer, will need a good 4-600cc on the engine, reasonable performance, easy maintenance, cheap and/or plentiful parts, decent fuel economy. Shaft drive an advantage, as is "nice colour" but neither is essential. Brand preferably Yammie, will be fine with Honda, Suzi and *maybe* even Kwak. So... what's out there?

Hey After finally sorting out the steering on my 125, a guy from work is getting rid of his Ducati Monster 696, and I'm thinking of taking it (blasphemous i know, i'm really sorry). He bought it about 18 months ago brand new as his first bike but basically rode it for about 400 miles and was too scared of it, so has barely used it. He's giving it to me real cheap, but I'm just wondering what the main things I need to look out for are. I presume I should change the fuel in the tank (not sure if he used a stabiliser) and I have bought a trickle charger as the battery is dead (I guess that might need to be replaced having been used so little), but what other things are t…

Hi. I think this is my first post here, but anyway i have a Fzs 600 fazer and as i come up to about 8000-9000 revs it splutters and will go no further up the revs (Before the problem started i could get it to maybe 10000-12000. Ive had cracks in the rubbers of the carbs before and had them fixed and rebalanced but cannot think if they cleaned them or not. Ive also noticed that it also splutters when im starting it. This cannot be the weather as i live in the uk and its currently 25 degrees. Many thanks for looking Jack

I have been offered a great deal on a FZR 250 (2KR) and to buy it, I would probably sell my current 07 CBR125R which I feel is a snail on the highways, especially with the strong winds around here. The bike I have been looking at is a grey market import and very uncommon for my country (Canada) as I have yet to find any solid information that's not in Japanese, I have joined this international forum in an attempt to hopefully find some guidance. I have checked the search option but there were only a dozen threads most of which had no information whatsoever and had little response and the post count of the original posters were minimal at 2-3, so I don't believe I will b…

Hi all, My son has just got a YBR125 that was in need of some TLC, including the front brake binding a bit. We've stripped it down, cleaned off the brake piston, and put new seals in. Brake fluid has (obviously) been changed as part of this, and the system fully bled. I did this with a compressor bleeding tool as used by garages, and when you pump the front brake, the pressure does not increase as you do this. It all works now (piston pumps in and out beautifully), but to me, it still doesn't seem right. Now, perhaps I'm just too used to the brakes on bigger bikes, but on this one, you can pull the handle back to the bars fairly easily. Even at slow speeds (just p…
