    Hi All Anyone got any experience/photos/info on how the hell you get to the air filter on the 2008 R6? I brought a pipercross unit, but seems a pain to fit?????????????? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Right, had a wee problem with my bike, its an sr 125 been lying for a year. I have done a full service, stripped and cleaned the carb too. So put it all back together and it starts with a full charge from the battery, however after a few minutes, it starts spluttering and the idle drops until it eventually cuts out. If i rev it, it splutters aswell. I have put the fuel, air idle etc at the correct position. When it does die, and i try to restart it, i get the ancient doorbell sound from the solenoid clicking, Check, the battery and it has dropped. I have checked the charging circuit and its producing a healthy 14v plus, but the battery doesnt seem to be retaining it. So, …

    The Bleed nipple has sheered off the brake caliper! luckily, (or not) it has done it in such a way that the plug is still intact, however i think it will be a tough job to remove it! Anyone now what size it is, and also a way of going about removing it?

    Hi, I recently bought a 2003 tw 125 and would like to customize it can any tell me if i can get parts from different yamaha models that will fit my tw,eg. plastics headlights levers footrests from dt125s or yz's are any compatible.Any help welcome many thnx.

    Hi Am in desperate need of some information regarding the Yamaha Enticer 125cc..... I have recently bought the bike with the intention of fixing it up as a bike to learn on,,, but i have found out the bike was made in India, and no one in the UK can give me any advice on parts, as most have never even heard of it. The bike has suffered some front end damage and new forks and wheel are needed...... Question..... Is there another bike that has the same fork measurements... My yolk size is 30mm hole and 185mm centres, the yolk stem is also 30mm. It may be possible to buy a complete front end from another bike if the stem is the same size,, i was told the virago xv 125 ma…

    Restoring a 1973 RT3 after being away from these bikes for 25+ years and enjoying every minute of it. I am now to the point that I really need some help. As far as the wiring harness- Appears to be straight forward in just matching up colors on all of the wire ends. In doing this- I have a Black and a what appears to be wht or cream color wire that is in the harness coming out of the crankcase- I have hooked up the other four that match up with the harness- Yellow-black-green and a green with a red line on it. Any ideas what these other two to go to? On the Headlight I have a Black wire- does this connect to the other three black wires coming into the headlight…

    I have a ty125 (old about 1979) the bike was running the other day and just stopped. I cannot get a spark, I know it aint the coil because i tried it on my ty175, it works fine on there. How can i check the points gap?.and how can i test the points? I think its them but need info also what should the gap be?

    Hiya All, I`VE FOUND ONE, It`s on and work`s perfect, Hoorah, Found it in a local junk shop, Can ya believe that, £5, It`s off an RD i believe, the mounting looks different, but i thought sod it give it a go, And it worked, (well chuffed), So thank you all for all the time you`v spent helping me, But don`t relax, IT`S NOT OVER YET, And another thing......     hi everyone. am looking to upgrade the carb on my DT50MX, i think the original is 14/16mm or something like that but most 50cc performance carbs are 21mm. so i got looking on ebay and came across this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OKO-21mm-RACING-CARB...%3A1|240%3A1318 would this work with my DT50MX? regards Steve P.S. i am already running a bigone expansion pipe and exhaust and plan to add a Polini 65cc kit, i understand re-jetting will be required and i am happy to do that

    HI all, I'm restoring an old RD ('87) but bits are very hard to come by. I'm wondering if parts from any other old Yam's - DT's, TY's, TZR's etc - would be interchangeable? I'm short of bits like a wiring loom, rear shock, YPVS unit etc and I can't find anything specific to this bike. I was wondering if any of you would have advice on where to start looking?     Today i was tidying up the shed, came across the Right hand switch that another RD owner very kindly sent to me to repair my 250 one that had fallen apart inside the kill switch, and also spotted a WD 40 can straw. and thought for a while, I took the straw and warmed it with hot water then flattened it in the vice between 2 pieces of smooth metal end result a flat piece of red plastic just the right size for the widest end of the switch recess, then with a stanley knfe and steel ruler i trimmed the plastic to the correct (or just about)taper then superglued it into the switch, colour is slightly dark but will most likely fade would not fool a concours judge but looks …

    Hi everyone, new member here. I hope someone can give me some advice, I have a XJ750 seca and the last time I used it it let me down. It was a very hot day 30 degrees or so and she seemed to be running quite hot, she then started to missfire badly on both cylinders and was down to 5-10mph, I let it cool down for a while and she run fine for about half a mile before misfiring again I got home the last 20mls at 10mph. I am just recovering from a bad accident on my CX and can`t ride a solo again so I want to put a sidecar on the XJ but need to sort this problem out before i go down that road.     Hello I'm new to this website and thought i'd give it a try. I have a 2001 Yamaha SR 125 which i just bought, it has 2699 miles on the clock. The problems are, when i try to start the engine, it takes a very long time even with the choke out, and if i can get it running, i have to keep the revvs up otherwise the engine dies. Also, if i go to rev the engine, it will cut out unless i do it very slowly. If i can get the engine to run for more than 10 seconds without cutting out, it starts screaming, literally, its a very very very loud high pitched squeal that comes from around the engine area, its loud enough to hear propperly at the bottom of the street, it doesnt sound…

    Hi all ,my 1st post of many lmao for advice on my R6 .I've been out of biking for hmmm a few years and only had two strokes in the past . When is my R6 due the valve clearance check ? ,it's only just turned 14000 miles . Next ( got the thick hat on here ) Went to check the engine oil level today .Unscrewed the top and no measure on it ,how the hell do you measure it ?. Cheers all for any help .

    hi everyone. over the last few weeks i have been riding my 1990 DT50MX and occasionally (usually in 3rd/4th gear) when changing up it will just not go into gear but instead stick in a neutral sort of state (disconnected from the final drive, engine free-revving) usually until i repeat the process where it will usually skip the gear altogether. its getting more frequent, on my ride home from work today it did it 3 times (over about 5 miles) and often when i go to park up it wont select neutral and goes straight to 2nd. whats the problem? i dont want to leave it to get any worse as it will no doubt cost me in the long term (i.e. new gearbox)

    Another stupid question(don't forget my 1st DT)wher is the oil tank on the DT250F,I have looked but can not find it,I got a funny feeling somebody took it off. Cheers All
