hi everyone. im happy tonight, 'cus i just got 50mph out of my wickle yammy DT50MX!, and all it cost me was £7 for a 14t front sprocket to replace the 12t one i was running. feels much quicker but it really does need the big bore now because when i change up a gear it will drop off the powerband and take a while to pick up again. should be nice for those back roads and cruising around ireland

Hi there i have a SR125 (99) and i am replacing the exhaust valve, i got a Valve Spring Compressor from halfords but it does not fit correctly. I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to get one that will fit properly.

Hi, Can anyone tell how to wire up the lights so when you flick on the main beam the head light stays on? My dealer told me it was possible however i've not got a clue on how to do this. Would be a great feature as I ride a lot at night.

Hi there, I have just bought an FJ12001TX and for some reason the back wheel has locked and won't move. When the bike is on it's center stand the wheel moves freely but when on side stand the wheel locks and will not budge. I have looked at the center stand to see if it's causeing the back brake to engage, but can't see anything that could be causing the brake to come on. Is there a secret brake switch i'm not aware of? I've gone 3 day's without a ride and i'm starting to suffer withdrawl symptoms Any possible suggestions would be appreciated. Ta dhtri

Hi Everyone I bote a Yz250 03 model and would to to know what is the best mix for enduro racing. Some say 250ml per 10 liter but my bike then does not even smoke with that mix i think it is a bit lean. Please help.

Hello Does the DTR require battery power to operate? Mine has the PV pinned open and no servo assembly fitted. Bottom to mid range is rubbish and i assume it is because of the PV being pinned. Any suggestions as to get around this or do i need to fit the servo? Could the PV be pinned to halfway open?

Hi, I have a '79 YZ250 that I think needs new rings. I can get it to start on the first few kicks, but it smokes like crazy when it is running. I fogged up our whole valley with just a few minutes of riding. I haven't been able to do a compression test, but I think that the compression is a little low. If anyone could give me the regular compression for it in PSI, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've just found that theres a couple of loose spokes in my back wheel - do I just tighten them up unitl they don't rattle? Whats the thoughts ??

My 2001 R6 won't start, battery had gone flat as a fart though non use so charged it with trickle charger (nothing different to usual proceedure). Went to use bike in morning and imobiliser won't disengage (Meta 357 or 351 can't remember which!) but all other electrics seem to work fine (lights, horn, neutral light, etc....) but not go on starter button and won't even bump off. I've since removed the alarm unit and all wireing thinking that was the problem and still won't start, same problem!? Any ideas anyone?

just wondered if anyone out their can help followed my son on his tzr today and noticed how bad his rear light was in fact it hardly worked at all at low revs but gets brighter the higher the revs is this normal seems the front light is the same , not sure if these bikes use dynamo or generate/alternators ! any ideas ? cheers

hi i am supposed to be buyin a yamaham sr 125 the guy am getting it from said that he had it running with the old petrol in it (been there for abt 5 years) said he was doin me a turn and he put new fuel in it and guess what doesnt start tryed bump starting it makin a noise but still not firing took the plug out and gettin a spark any body got any ideas? been told the carb defo need cleaned but a bit hesitant anbout buying it if its gonnae cost me a arm and a leg thanks

Hi I got an xj600n off someone who was a mechanic (car mech), he changed the read indicators to LEDs. I'll explain the setup and the problem: Firstly, when I took the set off, I noticed two bulbs just glued down inside the hollow under the seat, to the rear. They seem too big to be indicator bulbs, but blink individually according to the indicators. Weird, but doesnt seem to affect anything negatively (that i know) Secondly, The LED rear-indicators, when i put one on, and am just idling, it is really faint and can only just be seen (quite worrying if im stopped at a junction or a traffic light) Once I open the throttle to pull away, its suddenly really bright …

Hi all My son has put a Big One exhaust and a performance air filter on his DT 50 MX but when it gets past half throttle the engine bogs down. I think it might be the main jet that needs increasing in size, if I'm right any ideas where I can get one? Any help appreciated Cheers BABB

Hi Guys, I have recently been given a Yamaha RS100, whihc is in a very bad state however i have had one ages ago when i was at University and want to do it up. can any one please help me with a few problems in it. 1. I Have connected the battery and checked all points by opening up all the wires. with a multimeter i have checked all the availble points and there is power. There is NO SPARKS from the plugs and i cannot find the problem can any one help me with a wiring diagram for the bike so that i can check that pls. Thanks Naveen

Hello, new guy here. I've got an RD200DX with the caliper in front of the fork leg. I want to fit a later year RD200 front end with the caliper behind the leg. I'm not bothered too much about being 100% original so would look at fitting a different caliper if I can't find the correct one. What I'd like to know is whether I can fit a caliper from a different model of bike without too much fuss? I don't want to start welding new lugs on to the fork legs etc.. I thought maybe one off an old XS? Cheers, Mike

The flasher unit on my sr 125 has packed it in. So went into halfords etc today but they dont have any. There plenty of 21w flashers but mine is apparently 10w x 2 +1.7w. Is there an alternative one i could use?

Ok query time.... [FZR 600 '91 Genesis] I'm new to riding a big bike so just need some info. I find and the fathyer in law found that when riding slow the bike tends to chug in higher gears, if I put it in a lower gear then i'm just killing the petrol. If I stay in a high gear I find myself riding the clutch. Anyone got any tips? I'm scared to keep riding the clutch in case I wear it out quicker and don't want to keep topping up every other day because I'm sitting in a lower gear. Thanks

Ok, bike was on the stand but our drive is sloped. Bike slipped over and smashed the LHS wing mirror. Anyone know where to get FZR 600 '91 Genesis spares? I have white covers for the mirrors, I've only managed to find black so far. I'd rather get another white than having to replace both sides and then the bike looking like Micky Mouse. Cheers
