I checked out the oldies center today, can't park outside it's a 5 minute walk from the car park so my original plan is out the window. Obriens idea is great but I'm not really built for the part, if only I could grow my hair like I did back in the day and gain a few inches in height then I could maybe look the part but then my daughter in law is a paramedic and if she or one of her mates had to roll up because I'd given some old biddy a heart attack she'd string my balls up. I'm a bit worried about Andy he wants me to video it ! Noise I've never been accused of having grown up, no way and never will, 18 til I die that's me. I think I'm gonna chicken out, no twilight zone for me and I don't intend to hang around in any waiting room, I just don't want to end up like some of my mates who have safe little lives, drive safe little cars, listen to radio 4 and watch that fucking dancing program on Saturday nights.

Got soaked to the bone today, I had almost forgotten about the rain with the decent summer we have had. It has got cold lately and it looks like winters on its way. I don't mind the cold but, the getting piss wet through annoys me. Better find my waterproofs.

Ok this is another "T SHIRT" thread isn't it? If you lot actually agree to ANYTHING I will go but you only have till August to make up your minds so can any of you actually think of a date? let alone a place.

Thanks everyone think I'm going with the vaseline for now as I already have some & I think I might be a bit red faced in the chemist asking for the ky jelly I will look out for some dielectric grease on ebay, see how stupid the price is then use the vaseline

All I do is pack all the connectors with dielectric grease,keeps 100% of the water out, terminals stay clean and corrosion free. Mo less the same as vasoline but made for the job dosent harden over time.

Vaseline is old hat now Drewpy all the new boys use KY jelly !!!! Don't see why your fix won't work Tommy, as far as I know the ECU only gets warm not hot, what about that ACF50 stuff everyone is always banging on about won't that keep the water out? My ECU has a rubber sock thingy over the end of the ECU but it's pretty limp after 20 odd years so I wrapped a zip tie over the end to keep it in place, could just as easy have used gaffer tape I suppose.

Well how's about we all start looking at weekends in August and the first weekend of September? I make that 6 weekends to choose from. Surely in 10 months we can agree on when not to have a meet?

I'm sure given the timescale involved, if we were to say we will meet up say the last weekend in August, near a large landmark (for those of us who have trouble finding places!) it will give people plenty of time to book holiday etc!

It was only my second year but have to agree there numan. It was all very much low key compared to last year. Obviously the company was just as good though. How's about (not even sure I dare suggest this given the tshirt situation) we organise something for the same weekend maybe a different location? Maybe the peaks or similar?
