  1. This is getting ott now. Its not them and us. We all use the roads. There is not a single road user who at some point has not had some sort of,"Fuck me where did that come from" moment. Second to that. This very morning i have seen 3 bikers that without the actions of cars would be in hospital at least. All pushing for gaps in traffic at speed. We have all done it. Playing the odds is part of why we ride. Nobody was right or wrong in this, everybody loses. The car driver. The biker. Familys etc. The message from the video for me is to be more aware of the dangers. Not play the blame game, with content as strong as this video petty finger pointing is at best innapropriate.

  9. I knew a guy that had an arrangement with his local chippy, he took all their old cooking oil away, had some kind of filter setup in his shed to filter out all the crap and used it in his old truck, smelled a bit funny but worked OK. Unfortunately for him the chippy shut down and he had to start buying diesel again. last I heard he was looking for a new source of used cooking oil.

  10. Just bought a 69 180 Yamaha and ran fine home started up idled fine no problems. There was a little rust from tank sitting and not properly stored so I took the tank off cleaned ur up put a new fuel petcock in because the old one was shot, leaked, and fuel was only coming out one side nicely other side just trickled. But mind you it still idiled for at least 10 mins. no problem and ran at speed up to 40 to take it home to my place..Now it is very hard to start will not idle for more than 15 seconds and exhaust only coming out left side. There is spark to plug (new ones installed) took off exhaust piston looks nice, took off filters, took petcock back off, no signs of problems....I'm lost....When it starts (very hard I might add) the smoke only comes out the left, the exhaust is extemely hot, and the right side, very little exhaust comes and exhaust doesn't get hot at all ??? You can hear a slight ticking (my neighbor said) out the one side but he is puzzled too. I'm lost as I said and feel very defeated, been at it all day. Thanks for any help you all can offer.

  11. My advice, buy a second hand loom that's complete and replace the horrible hunk of junk that you have now, then at least you have a running start to work from, at the moment your have what can only be described as a total f**king waste if time. Should cost about £30 for an old loom that hasn't been chopped to bit's, then you can connect the right wires up and what you have left over can be traced using the wiring diagram in the manual. Did this with the XJ and took about 1/2 the time that messing about with someone else's horror story would have taken, there are to many gorillas out there that think they know how to fit wiring and about 1 in a 1000 actually get it right without boiling their battery or frying the bulbs. My advise anyway some no doubt will disagree.

  12. Yeah, not denying it, sure is worrying...! I got into riding because of a SMIDSY when I was a pillion, and the car driver not caring. My reason was to overcome my own fear of bikes, but to also show car drivers that bikers aren't complete pillocks. Most of us do a great job of that, but on some of the more specific forums I'm also on I see a high level of arrogance who assume everyone is wrong but them. The posting of this video has only exacerbated this. Their opinions won't help the biking community in the long term, and is the main reason why I stick around on this forum. Generally filled with normal human beings who don't take things too seriously or believe they are better than everyone else*. * although I'm clearly better than everyone, just because...
