I have a 1995 DT125R (kick start) with 2k on the clock. Dep silencer, derestricted by dealer, power valve pinned and bigger jet, standard sprockets. Very fast bike for 125cc. 80mph @ 9000rpm. Flys after 6500rpm but nothing below, so i got a servo motor etc. I have fitted the parts following DT125.net etc. Went for a test ride, power from 4500rpm but it has lost it's top end. Slows at 7000rpm onwards. Anyone had this problem or any ideas?

Hello all, I'm new to the enduro world as I have just acquired a 1978 dt 175 enduro. I know I have a long road ahead of me rebuilding the engine but as I do so I would like to be able to replace things like the seat and fenders. There's not a lot of new parts that I can find online (if any at all) and was wondering if anyone would know where I could find such items. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Hi,thanks everyone for your previous help,greatly appreciated!! I was woundering if anyone knows whether or not the power valve servo can be interchanged with a wireing modification,i believe the early type have a 2 pin plug and 1 seperate bullet connector and the later type have a 4 pin plug and 1 bullet connector,,the later unit can be purchased fairly easily whereas the early unit seems to be like rocking horse droppings,as far as the wiring on the early unit i presume (seeing as only 3 wires)the connections must be ignition positive an earth and a pick up from the coil/cdi unit. Any help would be greatly recieved.....Tim

Hi all, ive got an 04 DT125RE, i want to change the nobblies to road tyres, can anyone recommend a certain tyre....? also can the tyres go straight onto the origional rim or do i have to get a whole new wheel set as my mate had to on his kmx......? cheers guys!

Hi,could anyone help, i am trying to find a front brake caliper for my dt 125 lc3 1987,not sure if a later dtr caliper will fit although having looking at many pictures they look identical.As do some other yamaha calipers.Also if they dont fit anyone know the difference between the two? Thanks for any help

I've been looking around for a cheap off road bike that i can ride round fields etc and I came across a few copy bikes like apache etc. Are these any good? if theyre reliable enough then I'll get one as theyre a few hundred quid cheaper than genuine bikes but they still use genuine honda & yamaha engines.

has anybody else had this problem? i currently have an 05 plate dt125r and i have a nice set of brand new thor quadrants but i really cant change up gear as i cant bend it enough to flick it up! could it be that they need flexing in or something? i used to have a 02 plate dt125 and i had no problems changing with them! has anybody had this problem or can the gear selector be changed in anyway? any help welcome'd

hii, i've got a yamaha dt 125 and the exhaust is standard apart from the back pipe which is the big one end can, i was wondering would a dep end can fit the standard exhaust or would i have to get the whole dep exhaust

hi i got a 1974-75-76 dt175( i thinks it's a 76 but cant tell for sure) and i had to dismantle the fork because of a leaky seal. It has been time that it is now sitting in my basement and i want to put it back togeter. There seem to be many DT125s with vastly varying performance out there. I wonder what people have had out of theirs? I cant find performance figures for a standard bike anywhere, ie 0-62mph, 1/4 mile, top speed etc. Has anyone timed their bike? I have an 05' DT125X, dealer de-restricted and it does over 85mph indicated speed (probs about 80mph real speed as I imagine the speedo will over read). I have since fitted a full DEP exhaust system and it pulls much better now, although I havent tried to top it out since fitting. I'm too scared it will go bang!! What have you had out of yours? Hi guys, Im new here and havent had much joy with the search function. Basically my DT125r is missing the servo cables and presumably also the PV servo. The PV is locked open at the moment. Does anyone know where i can get the equipment to connect up the PV properly? Also can anyone suggest the best shop/website to get plastics and sticker kits? sorry if this is a common question! Hi, I have been trying to find about the chain rollers and tensioner on my 1987 dt125 lc. My haynes manual is not alot of use as it doesnt realy mention anything about them.The manual shows it should a tensioner,my bike has no sprung tensioner,but has two rollers.Does anyone know if the bike is ment to have a sprung tensioner(i have found the manual wrong in the past),or just the two rollers.Also are either of the rollers ment to be in permanent contact with the chain.I have just fitted new chain and sprockets and would like to get the setup correct.I have tried to find information about the subject but i havent had much luck! Thanks in advance for any replies,any help …

hi does any one know how to deristrict my Yamaha dt 125 it is a 2000 model it seems to run out of revs at about 70mph also does any one know of a cheap dep race pipe for my bike as well am trying to find one but have had no luck finding one that is under 200 pounds

hi i have a 86 yamaha tt600 that runs like a bat out of h*** but if you let it idle or come down to an idle it usual stalls after you have been riding about 10-15 minits weather you ride it hard or just let it idle.the main problem is when it does stall you have to wait about 15 minits before you can start it and it starts in 1 or 2 kicks. when i pull the spark plug it is sooty,carburetor is still cold,still has very good compression,and piston is not stuck in the bore. i have been working on this for a couple weeks and every thing that i see is saying it is too rich like sooty plug after stall and black smoke at and just off idle. but every thing i read about jetting …

hi there guys im haveing a problem with my ignition on my dtr 125r 2006 it was working fine then i took off the frame that holds the relays and the rectifier to respray it due to rust did that replaced all the relays and rectifier then i decided to respray the top yoke so i took the clocks off but couldnt undo the torx bolts that holds the barrel bracket on so i undid the little screws that hold the barrel caseing on leaveing me with a plastic bit with contacts on thats wired into the loom another little plastic bit thats keyed on one side and with copper contacts that are spring loaded on the other side and a plate with notchs in i think i have replaced all this correct…

hi dudes i need a bit of help off ye.. i have an 04 yamaha 125 dtr .. { which i fookin love } i was wwondering i have a set of good road tyres on it brand new .. but when i want to go off road i slide around the track.. obviously.. the knobbly tyres or half and half .IE. can use on road or track.. are they safe for the road .. or will i be sliding around bends head first into a coming truck with them on . any ideas would be appreciated..
