iv bought a dep exhaust for my dt x, does any1 know what your meant 2 do with the pipe that joins on2 the original front section ? thanks

allright guys, My XT350 keeps leaking petrol out the drain of the bottom of the primary carb, i cleaned the drain screw and blown out the seating with carb cleaner but it still won't stop! It also does it continually, even when the petrol is switched off (the tap does work correctly) Hows that then? Anyone got any bright ideas? (no comments about boxes of matches please!!) Thanks

Does anyone know if there are alloy wheels off another bike that would fit the wr? Am looking into fitting supermoto wheels to it and don't really want the spoke type ones.

hello, I am gettin gready for my DOT (government inspection) of my DT 50. I took the left clutch lever switch assembly off to try blowing contact cleaner on my switches, my horn was not working too well. The high beam switch fel apart. Inside the black button that you slide back and forth is a clear plastic slide with brass contacts and a spring and ball bearing. The whole plastic contraption feel apart. No more headlights. I had to wire up a temporary SPDT switch for now, but it is ugly on my handle bars. Does anyone know where to buy the clear plastic guts to a high beam switch. Parts list only shows the whole left lever assembly as yamaha parts. I …

so i bought a dt175 in great shape but with the carb removed. now, since i dont have the old carb to compare, i am having alot of trouble finding a carb to fit. can anyone give me some info about where to start? im looking for any carb that fits, what do you think? ive only reason worked on trucks till now so dirts bikes are somewhat new to me. thanks for the help. ~rob

how do you remove the fly wheel off i have got the nut and washer off eventually but i cant get the actual flywheel off now it looks like it unscrews off but ive tried it so i got my pulley device on it but i carnt get it to stay on because of the daft shape at the back its not flat more domed any help appreciated

Ive had my bike for about 3 years now and ridden it on the road for nearly 1 year and I was wondering if it should only have 5 gears? Everywhere I read about DT's people say they have a 6 speed gear box and all the 01 spec sheets I find online say it should have 6. I am the 3rd owner of the bike and when I bought it had only done about 1500 miles does anyone know if or why it would have a 5 speed box?

hello all i have a 2002 dt125r with full dep pipe i have jsut fitted a k&n style airfilter and now need to rejet but ot sure what size jets to get. when revved the bike bike dies. please help.. james

Hi all, Thanks for a great forum. Here's a few pictures of the DT I got last year: It was advertised like this: I was able to go out and have a look as it wasn't far from home. It wouldn't start or go in gear but I figured at $250 I could strip it for parts anyway: Turns out apart from a buggered piston it was pretty good really. Spent a bit of time cleaning bits like the clutch which was rusted together and getting the water out of the transmission. It's registered now so clocking up the km's where I can. Once it's settled I'll venture a little further up into the hills I'm heading towards an MX looking type of thing unless I change my mind!...…

hi all im new to this forum i have a problem with my 56reg dt125re i can only put it into 6th gear at 65mph+ if i try putting it in 6th gear at 60mph it bogs down and starts to slow, and even if i have it in 6th gear and i have to slow down for cars ahead it wont build back up i have to drop down and do the hole procedure again is thier any 1 else with this problem or had it before, if so what was the result of the problem and how was it fixed cheers dazz

Ill get the engine numbers and that later, but ive got, what i beleive to be the rd125 engine, a spare that came with parts i bought from a lot on ebay. Its in storage at the mo but when i next go there ill get it. Just wondering if anyone knows what these go for, and if anyones interested in buying one, or parts from it. Cheers Andy

Hi I have a 1984 Dt175 which i re-oil the forks with 254cc of 10w oil but when i went for a ride it was bottoming out . Do i have the wright oil and CC?. or should i use a heavy oil Thanks if you can help

Following my unfortunate seized engine I've had the barrel honed and ordered a new piston and rings. Unfortunately the new piston has arrived with only 2 piston rings - No oil scraper ring. My original piston had an oil scraper ring fitted, do I need to fit a new one? or just the normal 2 piston rings ??? To be perfectly honest I'm not sure what the oil scraper ring does, it's not shown in any of the manuals I have or any of the DT diagrams of piston and rings !!!
