hi, i was just about to reassemble my new clutch in the basket when i realised that the steel plates are not round thing. they are shapped in a circular but not symetric way.(they are not bent, its their shape) my question is: how to i install them? is it a random order or do have to put them all in the same position over the clutch plates? i didnt wanted to put i back in case i would do something wrong and break all. any way, im putting it tomorrow night all together so any response in the next 15h are greatly appreciated! thanks Rapco(proud owner of a dt175 !!) ps(is there anything i need to know else than that?)

Hi was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. I have just rebuilt the bottom end on my 1988 DT125LC after finding out the gearbox was filled with water! On dismantling it turned out some muppet had previously bolted the barrel on without a gasket,just using hylomar!! When i looked at the barrel,it was obvious to see the water jacket ran straight through it and out of the bottom,hence it filling the gearbox up through leaky seals etc. My question is,now that its all going back together,which barrel gasket will i need to go with the barrel that i have(it is the later one with Y2 stamped on it) Will it be a plain gasket which covers the water outlets o…

If this has been covered I apologize, but all that I have found are questions on derestricting a bike. I just baught a yz80 for my 9 year old son and I need help restricting it so he can learn to ride. We had a choice between that and a pw80. I know the pw80 would suite him much better at the moment but he would outgrow it real soon and I am not one to buy a differant bike every other year. Both bikes were the same price and the yz is more than twice bike from what I hear. Also the yz had new tires, rear spring, front fork and suspension, new plastic all the way around and for 300.00 (only a relative would give you a deal like that) I could not walk away especially…

Hello all, I recently picked up a 79' DT 175 in pretty poor shape. After taking it apart and cleaning, I've been doing some research on here. As of right now, I'm looking to all you veteran dt guys for a little help. The bike came with all the fuel lines and oil lines removed. The oil pump is disabled and the oil tank is removed, so I'm doing the pre-mix. My question is what lines do I need to cap, and which one is the fuel in, and fuel overflow? A picture of the left side of the carb would be awesome if anyone has one. This is my first bike and I'm 31. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance!!

hi all. i have just bought a 2003 dt 125 r to mess about on with my two boys. the oil pump must have broke, because the 2 stroke oil tank has been removed. does anyone know what the correct oil petrol mix is. instead of buying a new pump and tank i thought i would mix,and put it straight in the tank. cheers motor crazy.

Well I have decided to take the plunge. Going to the bike dealers either later today or by the middle of next week to order my new bike. Going to buy new for the peace of mind, dealer backup etc with a view to keepeing it for a year. Are there any other XT125 owners on here or any experience of the bike? Thanks.

hi everyone , just joined , buying a XT125R , am getting it on friday , could anyone who has owned this type of machine tell me what to expect in the way of performance . does this type of bike get away from cars at the lights so that you can keep out of trouble , will it perform on hills and in windy conditions , what is its comfortable cruising speed . i have got to run it in for 600 miles before i can use the perfomanse . thanks for any help on this matter .

hey guys just wondering if any one knows where the vac hoses go on a dt 175 "77" mod its got the mono shock with a mikuni carb modle 2h500 there is 2 vac hose conections on the carb and three vac conections on the gear box one on the carb will be for the petrol tap its blocked off caus i got a manual tap what are the three on the gear box for one is a breather i know that what are the other two any help would be greatly apreciated thanks guys p.s got this little rripper for a hundred bucks from the local tip it had a stuck piston nothing a bit of wood en a mallot coultent fix pluss some paint and im blown out at how well it goes it bloody flys dt's are fully sick its …

hello, i have an old 87 dt. the prob i have is that there is an air pocket in the fuel line from the tank to the carb? if i remove the fuel line from the carb the air pocket gets pushed out and feul flows how it should? as soon as line is put back on carb the air pocket returns? any help please as i'm stumped?????
