Hi all, had my tw125 for almost 3 years now gonna have 3 years no claims as a learner pretty embarrassing aye? anyway to get to the point exhaust sprouted 2 holes last Monday so that was a treat spending 2 hours after work in the halfords car park patching them. Anyway I am looking for a new exhaust and can't find anyone selling a original stock exhaust so I have been looking into custom exhausts. Found one manufacturer in the UK that sells slip ons and complete systems: http://www.gpr-motorcycle-exhausts.co.uk/c/328/TW-125.html And there is the exhaust section on tw-parts.com http://www.gpr-motorcycle-exhausts.co.uk/c/328/TW-125.html Anyway I will probably…

  6. I have a 59 Plate Yamaha XT 125 R . It has a HS1 12V 35W bulb for the headlight, which clearly the 35W bit is the problem... basically my visabillity on dark roads even with full beam is awful, i find myself driving and suddenly i see a corner, suddenly see the curb , suddenly see the white line. Any one know what bulb I can put in to make visabillity much better & that wont melt the cabling if it gets too hot? or do I need a Xenon kit ? Or do I need a better bulb be re-wire the headlight? HHHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPP?

hello to all, have just recently joined this site and have a problem on my bike, its a 95 import xt6ooe and the battery discharges itself over a day or two.it is a new battery of the correct type and when ignition is off the neutral light goes off and nothing works.i have checked the coils in the generator and they have a resistance of .3 ohm which is a little low but my meters lowest setting is 200 ohm so its close enough i hope.is there a possibility of the rectifier/regulator going to ground as that looks like the only component that is fed from the battery when ignition is off.thanks paul.

:Hi everyone. I have a 72 CT2 175 that I am putting back together and I need some help. My newly aquired combined service manual does not give one torque spec for the bike. I need the specs for the cylinder head and possibly the swingarm bolt. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Evening folks! As it currently stands, when I bought my bike about a month ago, (DT125R '03) The rear tyre the previous owner had put on was a budget jobbie to get it through an MOT by the look of things. Over the weekend I nearly had a nasty accident as the rear tyre has very little grip. The road surface wasn't perfect but it was normal conditions, and the back end of the bike had a mind of its own. I'm a competent rider and I'm almost certain it's not my skill that was at fault, nor the suspension. Anyway! What tyres would you gentlemen recommend? Most of the riding I do is general commuting at the moment, but I wouldn't mind taking the bike out for some offro…

Hello gents, just a couple of quick questions i have about my DT... Having a small issue when accellerating in most gears, she gets up to when the powervalve should be opening (around the 7500rpm mark) and it coughs and splutters, and struggles to get past. The bike has done just over 10,000 miles, and I'm guessing the powervalve may well need a clean? However, Someone has suggested I may need to upjet? If so, what size should the full power jets be? Pretty sure I have the OEM carb on the bike. Also, the random black vacuum box that goes into the carb manifold... whats the purpose? Just out of interest, I have no need/interest to remove it. I'm basically trying t…

Hello again from Bulgaria Following previous advice I managed to locate some Rockoil 10/30 gearbox oil. Chuffed. Drained old emuslified oil ( without checking how much came out ), and flushed with 650cc cheap oil. But 650cc took the level way above full on the dipstick. Decided to refill to dipstick level with Rockoil so put in 500cc without looking at the dipstick, ready to top up using the dipstick. Humph... 500cc is already above the dipstick mark. So, the correct amount of oil is 650cc according to the manual and to the casting on the gearbox. Should I just put in 650cc and be damned,or should I use the dipstick as the correct level. Could I have the…
