Hi, I've got a 2008 WR250F and, apparently, there is a restriction on the throttle opening. Here is a link which describes the restriction and how to fix it http://motocrosshideout.com/free-mods-for-a-wr-250f-dirt-bike/ - although this shows an '07 bike, there are other threads indicating the same issue with '08 bikes So, spanners out I've stripped mine down but before starting to find the offending throttle stop screw I noticed that the throttle slide seems to be fully opening and closing (see pics http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=31134&id=100000399335477&l=f0c88e50c9). Does this mean there isn't a restriction or does the throttle stop screw do something …

hi im new to this website but i need some help with my yz 125 b 1975 its in rough shape but runs good i dont know if i should invest in a good resto or just let it be i do need a airbox and side panel. its a cool bike with straps holding the tank i love it also i would like to know what the stock front wheel size was it seems to be huge bigger than my mr 175 elsinore ?? any help would be appreciated basically what is she worth ??

Just found this forum today and it seems great. Was reading a bunch of posts about the DTr125 being restricted and it got me thinking if my 78 was also. Dad bought the bike new when he bought my first YZ80 and since he has passed on, I have the bike now. When I got my 06 WR, the Yamaha manual listed everything thats nedds to be done to unrestrict it, but I dont have the manual to check for the 78. If unrestricting is possible, I doubt Dad did it and I would really like to give this old workhorse some more umpf! Thanks

hi everyone left my xt660z tenere idling for a few mins after a run was going to check the engine oil level and noticed the downpipes started Glowing Red! near the cyl head, is it normal? never noticed before bikes only done 1200 miles runs great otherwise

Hi, im looking at down sizing my sports bike and getting a supermoto so i can still have lots of fun. Ive had a go of a WR 400 and loved it so i am looking at getting one but i dont know which is going to be better, a 400, a 426 or a 450. With the cc's being so close im confused as to which to look into. Any help will be greatly appreciated

hi all this is my first post on this forum, i have a 2002 yamaha dt125r in good condition, i have a problem with it i put it away sunday night and today it wouldnt start, ive checked the petrol checked the spark plug etc etc, there is a white connector behind the water tank that is making a clicking noise could there be a problem with that or is there anything else it could be. sorry for being so vague, cheers will

Hello, I have a hard time buying the correct plug for my bike. It is supposed to use a BR9ES which has threads that are about 1" long. In my town I found a similar plug but the threads are only about 1/2" long. The store owner told me that since it is shorter it won't get as fouled up as my other one. And so far my bike has been running better. But am I hurting it? Thanks

I have a 1977 DT 125 frame and I was thinking of making it into a bobber style dirt bike, however, I want to upgrade it to a bigger motor. I figure the 125 won't be able to make much power. So I'm wondering what other motors would fit on the frame, maybe a XS 650 or something along those lines? any help would be great, thanks for any help guys!

I need some help please. I replaced the loose bearings with the one below but when i try to refit the clocks they are not close enough for the top yokes and headlight frame to bolt back together. Morning all, I've been trying to remove the engine from my DT for about two weeks now. All that's holding the sucker together is the bolt that goes between the frame, engine and swing arm. I've literally smacked the shit out of with a 4lb lump hammer and it just aint moving. At all. Is it worth taking it to an engineers or a garage to get it out on a hydraulic press or similar?? Lewis

The handbook says remove the plastic cage around the filter and wash out the material and re oil.On my bike the filter is glued to the frame which makes it trickier to clean and re oil.Anyone else found the same problem?Surely I don't have to remove the filter material and re-glue it?

I have changed the oil 3 times in 1000 miles every time I check the trans fluid it is over full and blue any thoughts on how this is happening thanks

Hi, I am having problems with the exhaust on my 2007 DT125RE. after purchasing the bike about a month ago and running in the new piston I realised that the rubber connecting the exhaust pipe to the muffler had burst and there was an hole. I replaced and thought nothing of it, prob. had been ready for new or something. but now after another week of riding it has blown open again in the same place. and I do not "thrash" the bike any help and advice would be appreciated thanks Jake

Just getting going with my new (to me) '74 DT175 project. Carb is cleaned and ready to reinstall. Battery is dead and won't take charge, will need a new one. Before that arrives, will this bike spark and run without the battery?
