    hi all. i have just bought a new throttle cable for my bike. ive pulled the old one off,but cant see how to get it out from the carb slider. i can see a green plastic piece inside,but dont know how to get it out. has anyone got a clue how to get it out. cheers colin.

    this is the latest pic i have of the mk1 we are restoring the before pic this is the latest pic slowly going back together engine has been rebuilt,new bearings etc.crank has been away and setup now ready to go back in.

    hi everyone saga continues,125 power valve wont work in 230,local dealer not hopeful of being able to get one,last chance saloon,has anybody got one i could borrow,got a good engineering shop that is willing to try and machine one but obviously need one to copy, heres hoping cheers mark.

    Good evening gentlemen and gentlewomen, I need to buy a new 3 part throttle cable for my '81 DT175MX ( the one with the oblong auto adjust splitter ). There are currently 3 options on ebay which claim to do the job. Pattern-parts.net ebay no 370516139347,jtsmotorcycles ebay no 290575662948 and wemoto ebay no 360344943094 Has anyone got an opinion about the best choice, or an alternative supplier?     Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, recently purchased a 2008 registerd TDR 125 that was a grey import from Germany. Unsure what year the model is other than it's definately a modern model. Had it on the road briefly but unfortunatly due to lack of funds it's been sat for a few months. When it was on the road it topped out at an indicated 70 to 74/5 Mph. It currently has the factory exhaust installed and according to the previous owner (who imported it as far as I'm aware) It has never been de-restricted. My questions are, as the engine is as far as im aware a DT engine will a modern DT performance exhaust such as a DEP/Arrow exhaust fit my bike and has anybody had experience…

    Hi all bought my 2000 yz 125 last week was running fine then all of a sudden it died at high revs in 5th and refused to re start off kick, tried bump starting and had to be pulled by a car for about 500m before it eventually started, but then died again and wouldn't restart. anyone got any ideas what it could be that is causing this? thanks joe

    hi every 1 ive just had me engine rebuilt and i started it everything was fine then i went to put in into gear and it stalled , so i striped it all down and checked it had all plates and push rod bearing and all is there ,i disconnected my clutch cable and put my bike into gear and pushed it but the bike isnt trying to bump start like it should the clutch is stil spinning it like am pulling in the clutch lever any idears ...regaurds ryan

    hi everyone finally got a dt 230,picked it up,got home,all appeared good until a bit of a grinding started from power valve,removed cover,bit of play,suspected bush,removed all covers pulled power valve out,only got one half,other nowhere to be seen,not suprising seller not answering phone,600 mile round trip not really worth a return visit.now to the point,im not hopeful of getting a 230 one,would like to know if anyone has a 125 one i could borrow with view to buying if it fits,happily pay postage and return postage if it wont fit. thanks mark. update,125 power valve aquired,not the same,bit of reprofiling needed,hopefully it will work.

    okay i picked up a xt 125 x supermoto a few days ago on an 05 plate and it was running fine yesterday i put it in the shed and next day it wouldnt idle with out the choke on or keeping the revs on 2000rpm it idles at 1000 rpm and cuts out straight away can i adjust the idle speed to fix this?? how do i get to the adjuster screw? if the jet was blocked would it still tick over with the revs a 2000? also when i turn bars fully left the neutral light goes out, why is this? anyone got a link for the manual for it? thanks for any replys

    i have a 1985 mk1 dt125lc and i cannot get full throttle when you ride it and open the throttle past half it bogs down then revs then bogs then revs so you are kangarooing down the road,i have checked the carb replaced all the jets etc set the floats but it makes no difference.I am now thinking it may be the coil breaking down or the cdi or something else electrical anyone got any ideas that might pin point the problem

Hi there, my 1999 DTR 125 has just developed a problem and I'm hoping you can help, When riding it'll get to 6k revs where the power valve kicks in and it just slowly struggles all the way up till about 8 and half k and won't rev anymore, but this isn't all the time, I can ride to work and the bike will be fine, the power kicks in and revving out to past 10k before changing gear, but then on the way home no power! My mate thought it was the plug breaking down so I fitted a new one and it's still the same.     Hey peeps, I'm at a loose end here...I've been looking for aftermarket graphics for my DT for a while now and am having no luck at all. What I'm after is a kit comprising of stickers for the tank + Rad' scoops, swingarm, side panels and fenders. I was originally going to buy a kit from ebay, from a guy giving options for either union jack, racing colours or a warrior style pattern but I haven't seen it on there again and I can't find it anywhere on the net.     New Chap on the forum here. I have a DT175MX (1979) project I'm starting soon with a mate (who bought it as a reminder of his misspent youth !). He stripped it down a few years back full of enthusiasm etc.The fork stanchions were then sent away to be re chromed and the guy promptly went out of business and thats the last we ever saw of them ! So.. First question as we searth the world for replacement tubes or complete forks is - Does anyone know which other year / model forks fit the '79 UK spec DT 175 ? We've seen a few different years etc pop up for sale but never knew diameter / length info to interchange. Anyone know any info so we can widen our search ? Of course …

I really appreciate all the help ahead of time guys. -- OK i recently purchased a DT400 and it supposedly had 700 original miles on it, but it is in really good shape and runs pretty well. I had a buddy drive it home for me due to being in the military and not being able to according to my chain or command, and after a 90 min ride it developed a horrid noise coming from the gearbox/clutch basket area. This noise does not occur when i have the clutch held in, but if i let it out, regardless of gear the noise comes and it sounds like a screeching that changes with the throttle pull. …
