    Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could tell me what the symptoms of a slipping clutch are and how to adjust it? I took my bike for a short, 3 mile ride yesterday and it seemed to be working fine, but when I fired it up today, it had some difficulty idleing in gear and was very unresponsive - almost as if it wasn't getting enough gas. Is this a clutch or carb issue? What are some steps to correct it? Thanks!

  6. i've got a spare lc MK 3 barrel and cylinder head for sale, it's the round type with the powervalve, just needs a rebore as it has light marks. the powervalve alone sells at quite abit on ebay so make me an offer for the lot, or even just the bits you want also i'm going to have 2 spare complete bottom ends, from the crank to the front sprocket for a MK1 and 2 Lc 125 so if anyone wants any bits off these make me an offer, hopefully this helps someone in my situation without them having to buy 2 whole engines just to get one part from it. cheers, Lee edit...sorry i am new to this forum and believe i may have posted this in the wrong section, didnt see there was a f…

    Just thought id mention it on here. I bought off ebay a parts catalogue for my 1986 dt125 (mk3) on microfiche. Im 19 so when it turned up i was confused as i was expecting a tiny sardine to jump out and tell me all the product numbers! (Sorry) Anyway, i took it down to the library (its like the internet, but more papery!) and they charged me about 20 quid to get in printed onto A4 paper. So at somepoint i think ill scan it into the computer and make a pdf file out of it. In the meantime if anyone needs any pages, let me know as id be more than happy to scan it in and either upload onto here or email it to you. Hi, i have a DT 125 lc MK 2 or 3 (can't figure out which) with a YPVS engine and powervalve that is not functioning as it doesn't have the servo motor. i've been searching for ages for info on this for this bike and all i get is bombarded with info about the DTR which has a completely different engine and the power valve on the opposite side. i have searched ebay for a couple of weeks for one for a DT 125 lc and for RD 125 lc as i believe these have the same engine but cannot find one at all. are there any other ones that will work? like maybe off a bigger bike. its the 34x engine and it has the powervalve on the right hand side with 2 bolts to mount it to completely…

    hello, i kno there is allready a huge thread on how to de-restrict a dt125r. but ive allways had this on my mind about the ypvs on my motorbike. basically when my powervalve was supposedly working ages ago it had no differnece in bottom end power than it did when the valve was jammed closed and dis-connected. and while it was supposedly working it would only top out at around 65mph in 5th, and 6th gear had no power what so ever. while when the valve was jammed closed it would go off the clock. and ive never figured out why it has been like this because it span in the same directions as the videos posted on youtube ect. the bike model is 2001, and im 99% sure that …

    I'm renovating a DT125R and had to replace the rear wheel. Now I have done that I CANNOT GET ANY PRESSURE FROM THE REAR BRAKE AND THE BRAKE DOES NOT OPERATE. The rear brake caliper is fixed to the wheel spindle, so when I removed the wheel I (probably incorrectly), I disconnected the rear brake cable from the caliper so that the caliper could be removed connected to the wheel spindle. I have now read that I have made some errors in the way I removed the wheel and in particular the rear brake caliper. The rear brake cable that I disconnected from the caliper has obviously leaked some brake fluid whilst the wheel was replaced. Now I have replaced the wheel/caliper…

  13. Hey guys i have a 1998 WR400f street legal bike. My kids dumped water in my tank. I didnt know until after i tried to start it and wouldnt start one day. So here i am now, where do i go from here. I am pretty good with a wrench just need to know where to start. Bike doesnt run now. Can i easily check if motor is junk by doing a compression text?     Hello ladies and gents, i baught a dt 125 re 2007 3 days ago, paid £1500 it has 9k miles and looked like a bargin, i came home went on a ride to hear a strange knocking, also to notice the breaks sticking, anyways i was stressy and listed the bike to sell as i have no patience to fix or spend money i dont have on a bike, so 3 hours ago people came to view the bike, he said he was a bike mechaninc, he said the top end bearings are gone and that the powervalve or somthing isnt connected or giving me power, im more than confused about whats going on and i dont want to end up pumping cash into this bike, also i no shops will charge me a easy £100+ just to look and maybe fix t…

    Anybody got any thoughts on wheel replacements for the TDR, bike is a keeper but as a maried slave to the system with 2.4 sprogs, morgage etc etc etc lashing out hundreds of pennies for some fancy stuff is a a stretch. Anybody got some realistic soloutions, am i right in thinking that one busted spoke may well be the beginning of the end for the rest of em? Cheers all. Edit:- been looking at central wheel. Rebuild my wheels with stainless spokes for about 80 quid a wheel? Opinions...?

    ay up all,newbie here, just bought myself a 1993 ttr 250 but the previous owner has removed the headlight and light switch from the bike and it currently runs on a daylight mot, i was wondering how difficult it would be to sort the lights out to get a proper mot on it, if i can't get a yamaha front light is there anything else i could fit on instead? thanks for any advice steelprunes

    hi, i have a 1986 dt 200 that i purchased during the winter. found it on kijiji. drove 200 miles to get it. problem is, 1- the bike never actually ran, although it sounded like it wanted to go, it just sounded flooded to me, there was frsh snow on the ground so we couldn't try to bump start and 2, while the giant of a man that was selling it and kicking the bike over to start it , the bikes kick start stopped returning to the top. he phoned the bike shop on both 2 circumstances and for #1 problem he thought it was the needle and seat, as i did too. and 2nd they felt it was just a rewind spring and it sounded reasonable to me aswell. he gave me a hundred bucks off on each …

    any one have a dt175e 1978 enduro do you know where to mount the voltage regulator the rectifier goes under the gas tank but i have not figured out where to mount the voltage regulator so can anyone help me out? the yellow wire is the regulator connector i just cant locate where to attach the reculator

    Hi I have just acquired a Tdr 125 in need of some tlc I assume it's an import as it's on a k reg but first registered in 2002. Right here goes hope someone can help. Cos sourcing manuals is pretty impossible. I have power to coil instruments but bike won't start it is electric start only no kick. I think at some point someone has cut the indicators off as I have re wired them but they don't work my main aim is to source some parts and get her bk on the road if anyone can point me in the right direction it will be drinks all round.
