Hi. Can anyone help please? I have a set of Arrows on my 06 MT-03 and have a major power flat-spot at about 3500rpm in second or third gear. Someone told me that if I disconnect my battery on my 06 MT-03, it will reset the ECU and "learn" the new fueling. He may be thinking about this working for cars but does it work for bikes? Personally I think a Power Commander's the solution but it's worth asking the question! Thanks.

Can anyone run down the differences between a just old plain 77 - 84' 400cc Bike. Then the 400 special, and then the special II, and then the heritage etc. I have a 81 400 Special II -- I've been wondering what's so special about a Special?? Thanks Bob

i just bought a new 2007 fazer 1000 and i have bought a scot oiler. The web site shows a nice picture of the pipe that i need to connect the vacuum t piece into. trouble is that i cannot find a pipe that looks like this. Do i need to take a panel off or remove the tank? I dont't want to go removing stuff just to look for this vacuum pipe, so and more specific instructions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Peter PS the 2007 fazer is fixed, the throttle response is loads better than the 2006 model i tested.

  7. Thanks to all 'Gordons' "special friends" that have helped to get him ready in time for the next round of the Supermono championship at Pembrey. He now has a spanking new, super fancy exhaust by Mark at MHP, and thanks to a new yoke supplied via JDMCC, he can now sport the Ducati forks. All these mods certainly make the £60 for a 1 in 100 chance of winning him look even more attractive. Looking forward to trying out his new set up somewhere before getting on track at Pembrey. Bloke. 8. Hey everyone, I just bought a 74 Yamaha TX500 from my cousin a few weeks ago and would like to rebuild the carbs. He told me that the jets were pressed in place, and that the metal around them had been eaten away by gas over the years. He JBWelded them in place and I would like to know if there were any other solutions for this problem. The o-ring that goes around the jet isnt enough to hold it in place either. Im not sure if this is a common problem or not, but thought I would ask. Thanks!

Hi, Has anyone tried a power commander on an FZ1? I was hoping it would get rid of the on / off throttle snatch and boost the low down a bit but any feed back before I buy would be greatly appreciated as they aren't cheap! Thanks Hux

  12. There hasn't been a motorcycle in our garage for years now, but had it not been for an RD350 and it's successor , an RD400, there may never have been an "our garage". I am trying to put together a visual and audio collage of my Son's Dad's , and to some extent , my own life before he was born - or more specifically, when we were his age..........it will not be complete without the sound of a 2-stroke starting up and then accelerting away at an inordinately high speed...sigh.....those were the days. I have only found one file on the internet thus far and started thinking of where I might have more luck in finding the noise I am in search of. It seemed like this m…

Putting a new slip on on my bike, just wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions... I am on the fence. I am leaning towards a micron, sato, or arata. I really like the deep, throaty sound and am not too worried about gain (I am 110lbs, I think my bike is fast enough for me, lol). We don't really have any noise restrictions here either, so that is not an issue. Also, I would really prefer a high mount. So if you have any feed back I'd love to hear it. Cheers:)

Hi all, Exiting the Mway under light front braking I am getting vibration from through the bars. If I apply firm or hard front braking I have no vibes, can anyone offer advice. I have no excess play in the headset, all front wheel bolts secured, 800 mile worn in front tyre and good depth on front pads. I have not checked the front discs for warp yet, seems unlikely since very lightly worn. Wonder if brake pressure in one side lower causing light grabbing of the disc Thanks for any help

I'm looking at getting the FZ6S untill i saw the R6. It looks nicer and seems 'sportier' but it's an extra $3500(Aus). I'm wondering whats the real difference between these two 600's? and if it's worth putting up the extra bit of cash for it? Thanks.

  20. New to the forum and hoping somebody out there can help me out... Had a 82 Seca years ago I purchased new back around 1984-85. (excess inventory). I had a Kerker exhaust on it (loved it) and trying to find another. I'm coming blank on finding any leads to one. Does anyone have any ideas or leads on where I might find one for a 81 Seca XJ550R? If it needs a re-chrome so be it. I'll just be happy to find something that can be refurbished at this point (without major damage). Thanks
