i have a yamaha tzr 50 which has been derestricted recently it has been cutting out after riding for about 5 mins then keeps doing it...i have had it apart and cleand out the carb fuel tank and such which went fine for about 3 days then same problem she cuts out i roll with her thwen she dies lights go out but the dash lights stay on i did notice that when i revved the oil light gets brighter depending on how much i rev....so i did it again and just 10 mins ago i went for a ride and if i try to for example kick it into 3rd gear she sounds horrible and wont go above 50KM she does do 90km max so yea then it feels like someone slammed on the breaks and i begin to slow down b…

Hi all, Does any one have any idea where I can find the standard suspension settings for an 03 R6 ?? Im gonna try and fiddle with my settings a little and wanted to start off at the beginning but cant find out the original factory settings (bought the bike 2nd hand so its been 'tweaked' already) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Fastest in untimed practice, then the gear linkage broke in timed qualifying, but my out lap was fast enough to secure me 5th place on the grid, just behind pole position. Finished 2nd with a best lap time of 1-16.84; not quite as fast as the 1-15-51 I did on a practice day last year on the minimono - but really good for Gordon. me and a round-a-bout had a little mis-understanding and the is a slight king in the front wheel rim. I'm just wondering what other Yamaha model's front wheels will fit to make it easier to find them on ebay? Any suggestions?

Hi, went to Hungary on my TDM850 a couple of weeks ago and ended up selling it over there (not planned) and flying home. When I got home I regretted it and quickly looked round for a cheap bike and put a deposit on a 1990 fz750 genesis which i'm picking up tonight. It was a spur of the moment buy as I don't know anything about these bikes having previously owned a few cx 500's, an sv650s then the TDM. Is there anything I should be wary of reliability wise? The bike and owner seem pretty straight. I was told it had different carbs on it, that it had recent fork seals, chain and sprockets, seat etc. He said the choke was a pain until warmed up, the engine sounded quiet eno…

I recently purchased a 2001 yamaha V star 650, today coming back from the flea market, it started slipping some when you get on the gas. If you slowly go into it, no problems, when you get on it, it takes a second or two before it engages. Anyone know what may be up with this, driveshaft, or transmission. Looks like I posted this in the wrong forum, if a mod or admin would move it to the technical forum, I'd be gratefull.

Hi all I have just got back to bikes after a break of 3 yrs I got a wee 1995 FZR 600r which I am really enjoying and I was wondering if there is anyone can tell me if a grab rail for a pre 93 fzr would fit my fzr. and also if a jack up kit would fit both. Hey there all, as some of you know almost 4 months ago i managed to blow the engine of my 1998 thundercat, well after many failed lumps and losted ebay bids ect i got a genuine 1,800 miler with paperwork, clocks, swing arm, rear shock, manifold and black power bronze screen....and this is the best part £340 the guy just wanted to clear his garage and i was very happy to clear it for him lol, Lady luck was with me that day lol Hartgate's in mitcham fitted all for £300 and i picked her up friday i've riddin her once and shes sweet as and feels just like new, so i wantedto say a big thanks for everyones help and ideas ect and if any one from Hatrgate is reading this big th…

hey ive gt a 2005 R6 and ive noticed that when i put it into neutral and release the clutch i can here what sounds to me like the cogs slightly brushing togeather i was just wondering if its normal or if theres a problem?? cheers for any help!!

Hi fellows, this is my first thread in this forum an I will start with a question regarding the front fork. Does the FZS 1000 Fazer (RN06) have a suspension cartridge inside the front fork or is the fork conventional? I would like to change the fork oil, if there is not a cartridge inside. Cheers noca
