Hello All, I'm doing some experiments with FZR 1000 / YZF 750 motors. Trying different combinations of cams, gearing, etc. and need extra motors to play with. If anyone has a motor for sale, a YZF 750 or a FZR / YZF 1000, preferably in the Southern California region, please let me know. Plan is to put the motor into a YZF750R since I find that to be one of the most comfortable bikes ever, and handles like a dream too! I've also heard that an '03-'04 YZF-R1 motor fits that frame. If a Fazer engine is supposed to be a de-tuned Thundercat engine, how do you go about re-tuning it to get the Thundercat performance?

Hey guys and gals! I have a brand new v star 1100 custom, and I am in the works of doing some more custom work to it, I am looking to take off the V Star emblems on the gas tank. would anyone know a way of doing this with out having to do body/paint work after? thanks all!

I have just had a second rear caliper replaced after the mounting point was found to be cracked. Has anyone else had similar problems?

I have been trying to locate information about how the Yamaha engine guards install onto the Roadliner/Stratoliner. I can see how they attach to the bottom of the frame, but I cannot see how they attach to the top of the frame. Can someone who has installed these or knows how they are installed tell me the how they attach? I stopped by the Yamaha dealer and they could not tell me. How wierd is that? Thanks

Hi all; I was dead set on a Vulcan 1600 Nomad until I stopped by a dealer today and looked at, touched and sat on a Stratoliner S. Did some research and so far the only things that popped up as possible negatives are: 1) Handle bars are too wide & 2) Might be difficult to cover the clutch & brake if hands are too small as levers are non adjustable. I am of a normal (whatever that is) male size of 5'10" with a 30 inch inseam and I guess medium size hands. Hi All! I've just signed up as a new member recently, hi to everyone and a very happy new year!!!! My query for anyone who can help is this; I bought my 2006 model R6 in Feb of last year. I fitted a linkage kit (as I am only 5ft 1") and this enabled me to lower the seat height by about 2 inches and I didn't have to mess around with the natural set up and dynamics of the bike too much. After that I thought, hey problem solved! There is hope for us short arse's out there! But not so, its seem's not only is my height a disadvantage to me but also my weight!!!!! Looking at this bike in blue. Have a c-50t right now that i will be trading in on this bike. I've had a sv650n before the cruzer. Always wanted a sport bike and like the way the r6s looks. How is it on the streets? I'm worried about the low end not being there. Not going to do any track riding just commuting and riding around. I know its going to be better than my current ride but how would it compair to the sv? How does it compare to the other 600's out there? thanks for any info.

I was just given a 1981 XS400 Special II by my brother. It only has 2,300 miles on it. The history behind the bike is rather interesting. It was purchased by a friend of my brother in 1986. At that time it was still in the crate. He rode it for less than two months and sold it to my brother. (They were both in the military and he got reassigned to another country and didn't want to take the bike with him.) My brother rode the bike to his home town, about 200 miles away. There it sat until he got it on the road again in 1994. He rode it the entire summer of '94. He subsequently lost the key and never rode it again, and now it's mine. I'm pretty excited …

Hi Name's Martin, been an XJR1300 owner since September 2002, totally love the bike, on my 2nd one and done over 50,000 miles between both bikes. The XJR has rubbed on to my wife as she started off two years ago on an old 1200 and received her first brand new 1300 as an early birthday present last March. I've just completed the maddest day o my life, before Christmas, two friends and me went from the Ace cafe in London to the Arc De Triomphe, Paris, and back to the Ace in 15 hours. Hi there, I have recently bought an '05 R6. Was after a couple of answers, firstly does my model have a clock? and if so how do I access/ set it? Also how do I alter the change light? It currently comes on at the redline. Thank you all in advance.

I would like to hear from riders with experence on this bike. Any problems? Advice? What to watch for.
