Hi everybody, I'm a nemby to the forum as I have only just upgraded from my NC35 to an R6 - which is awesome by the way. Anyway, it seems that Haynes havn't got round to making a manual for the 2003-2005 R6 yet so I was just wondering if anyone knows of any other manuals that are about, whether the 99-02 R6 manual is good enough for most things, and whether these £3 service manual CD's on eBay are worth a try. Cheers Steve-o

Well, I'm officially switching to Yamaha and am coming over from the Honda side to the FJR. I have a chance to buy a bike at a great price at a dealership a few towns over, or get a great buy that is $500 more by staying in my town. I like the idea of supporting a local business but $500 is a lot of money. The more expensive dealer says that he assembles the bikes in shop and he can promise far superior set up to the D&D guys (ding and dent) who set up large dealership bikes. Does anyone have experience with setups and is it worth the extra 5 bills for a nice guy in a nearby shop? Thanks in advance for all opinions!

I need 2 sets of throttle body manifolds (8 manifolds altogether) for a project I'm working on. There must be plenty of these been kicked around the floors of workshops of people who race these bikes / engines and I'm shaw that they would rather have them put to use than getting in the way!!! If this is you or you know somone who could help then please get in touch!!!!

Hi, joined today and now saying hello! I'm in Essex, England and ride a midnight warrior and also just got a good deal on a new purple MT01 - love these big v-twins. Can't wait 'til the MT is run in - I part-exed a Triumph S3 and was a bit sad to see it go. Not anymore!!! Cheers, Hedge.

I need to know what the differences are between the 92 and 94 FZR600R. I am looking at two different bikes that can be combined to make one awesome bike and have a few parts lying around. The big piece is if a tranny from a 92 will work on a 94. If there are any little details like the wiring harnesses are different, that will be very helpful to know. Thanks

Hi guys, new to the page, new to yamas and new to motorcycling in general... now that my noobiness is out of the way, i need some help. i am 6 ft 2 275 lbs, and i was wondering what a good first ride would be. i was looking at a 250 ninja but they are just so small (and a kawasaki...), until an older yamaha fz600 caught my eye... i was just seeing if i could get input from you guys, and maybe get a decision on a motorcycle. i dont want a buttload of speed right away, because i want to learn first,so is a 600cc the right choice or should i stick with a 250/maybe 400cc??? any help is appreciated!!!

Hey guys (and gals) Looking to change the stock indicators of my bike to LED and I was hoping to gain the advise of anyone here who had already done so !! If anyone can reccommend a good supplier that would be great ! I found this one that looks ok. www.intobikes.co.uk ( sorry to mods if Im not meant to post web addresses ) I know for most LED conversions you need to use a different Relay but do I need two relays? (one for front, one for back) ?? sorry, probably a dumb question !! Cheers all. PS: anyone in Scotland going to the Scottish Motorbike Show at Ingleston, Edinburgh in March ??

Hey guys I am new to this froum and I would like a little bit of advice on the following bikes. I am thinking about buying 1 of these 3 Yamaha YZF-R1, GSX-R1000, and the Hayabusa. I don't know who makes better bike out of Yamaha and Suzuki. This will be my first motorcyle. I wish to invest in a nice fast bike, I will enjoy only on weekends. I have a fews guys in my gym that own these brand of motorcycles. I am also going to take a class so I can control the power of one of these top of the line motorcycles. I know you guys are Yamaha fan boys but what are you opinions on Suzuki?? You can also contact me on AIM: CarlChristan

  15. Hi there, First of all, hello to all of you. I am based in Japan & recently purchased a Yamaha Dragstar 400 classic with all manuals in Japanese There is a yamaha club here as well, but again - all in japanese. This model is same as xvs 650 clasic sold in US (not sure about UK) except that 400 cc engines are more common in Japan. I would appriciate if you can help me with a few questions 1. my bike's idling was way too high & it was literally drinking gas, so I lowed it down to minimum & now it seems to be much better on mileage. Is there any adverse effect of keeping idling to bare mimimum ? I always warm up engine well using choke befo…

Hello everyone, N e e d y o u r h e l p!!! I bought an 07 yamaha r6s last september and i noticed this ticking noise while iam riding. The noise is coming somewhere in the front. I had the dealership checked out the noise and they told me this is normal. But i am not so confident as to what they told me. I only hear this noise when i am actually riding the bike and as i speed up, the noise goes faster. Its kinda like a plastic hitting a wheel, the noise goes faster when you spin the wheel faster. the noise does not come on when it is in neutral or when you have the clutch on while reving up. Does anyone have this experience or any advice to what i should do?
