HI! I'm new here and I have a problem that's driving me crazy... My yamaha FZR1000 exup deltabox (1993) has an overflow problem with fuel. and I dont know where can I fix this or where is a valve for regulate a fuel intake in to the carburators? please can you help me with some instructions for fixing my problem? thanx alot!

hey guys, new here! so hi my friend has a fz6r genisus and is need of help and hes old so he doesnt have the net.... he has a G reg bike, and its in superb condition! but hes noticed a like 'tingy' rattle when its idle and he revs it, its not a massive or nosie nose, and he said it stops after about 2-3rpm (it may still be there when over that but he said he cant here it), its recently had the carb floats rebalanced and he doesnt think its a pistol cause it fires up and runs perfect, he doesnt think its a valuve cause its not the engine tapping or out, the noise is still there if its in gear and the clutch is in or out, so hes at a bit of a lose, hes pritty goo…

When it arrived i thought great i can store my helmet and jacket etc... this was stopped when i tried to fit it. Im a competent person being a chippy but this has me puzzled. I just took my '05 V-Star 650 with 2K original miles out of winter storage (garaged). I left the bowls filled all winter (4 months) with the fuel shut off with stabulized gasoline (the 10% ethanol crap that they sell now). It started fine, but there is gasoline coming from the carburetor vent tube that ends behind the air cleaner. I had dripping gasoline and a puddle after it ran only a few minutes. What causes this? The service manual does not give any troubleshooting for carb problems. It only has the instructions for performing the service so I don't know what needs to be done to correct the problem. I tried running the carb bowls dry twice to try to unstick the floats…

Hi there ! Norwegian boy looking for Yamaha forums =D Got a FZR1000 88mod moddified. Looks like a 2002 R1 and got turbo installed. 280hp dyno. So.. In the winter im gonna do alot of stuff to it. Hi all , My first time on . I have a cloudy white XJ6 bought new September 09 . I have currently covered just over 12 thousand miles, the majority of the mileage is commuting . . Passed my big bike test Aug 09 so this is my first big bike following my excellent YBR125 . I am really happy with it , only 2 problems : the brake lever switch has started mucking about so that will be replaced under warranty at the weekend and the starter is noisier when the bike is hot , other than that, no probs . i pulled my 98 FZR600 out today after sitting in the garage for the winter and after i finally got it started i noticed it was missing on one cylinder. i checked all the sparkplug wires for spark and they were fine. i put some new gas in with seafoam and ran the bike at high rpm for a while and still number 3 cylinder isn't firing. i figured out it was number 3 by taking the airbox off and spraying some starting fluid at each carb while it was running. i sprayed each carb individually and the idle wasn't affected when i sprayed number 3. my question is, what should i try next? i figured i'd get some new spark plugs since it's cheap. but if that doesn't work wha…

With my mandatory introduction post out of the way, I figure I'll jump right in with my inquiry: I have an 07 R6 that doesn't like to idle at stoplights... randomly. When I say randomly I mean that it doesn't matter if its hot or cold. Sometimes it does it, and sometimes it doesn't. It happens frequently enough to where its problematic. I've changed the spark plugs, cleaned and examined the air filter, and had the battery checked. Hi, I have a YBR 125 which is a grey import and has the faired headlight. It has just failed its first MOT because the headlight is aligned to the right. The dealer says that it would pass its MOT if I fit a suitable deflector. My question is - has anyone fitted one of these? I'm thinking of getting one for a car (but for a lhd to divert from right to left)and cutting to fit. Thanks. Andrew

A few questions. Looking at a bike that a local Junkyard has for sale. It appears to have been laid down somewhat hard. The front right fairing is cracked and has small pieces missing here and there. Right side rearview mirror is busted off of the mounting arm. Secondary seat is missing. (The elevated seat cushion above the one the rider would sit on. The windscreen is cloudy (just looks like from age) and there is a Red wire that is sticking out from under the gas tank overhang on the right side (looks like it might have gone to the battery, it's bare at the end that is sticking out.) I love my bike to bits but I'll openly admit I'm useless when it comes to knowing about it. On that note I have an issue.... When I'm on the bike it feels as though there is a clicking as the wheels go round, it feels at the front but also when I pull up it seems either the radiator thing at the front or the engine is smoking. Any clues? Ta

My 2001 R6 starts fine and runs until it reaches running temp. It then stalls and won't start back up until it has had time to cool down. Anyone have any idea?

Hi guys, First time poster here. I have recently been offered an FZR 600 for a very good price from a friend of mine, it's a lovely bike, the only problem I have is with the rear fairing. Hi all, I have a 2005 R6 (R46) Rossi rep. The bike was garaged over winter with the battery plugged into a conditioner. I started using it a few weeks ago however the battery (6 years old) did not hold a charge for very long, and if I didn't ride it for a few days it went flat. I disconnected the old battery and replaced it with a brand new one (Yuasa YT9B-BS) as recommended by my Yamaha dealer. The battery was charged for 24 hours. I went to use the bike this morning and the alarm deactivated as normal, the lights, dials etc would power up, I could hear the fuel pump priming and the bike turned over quickly.
