hi i have resently started riding a ybr 125 it is 09 model so its fuel injected not carb, but most pages i look at talk about the bike being able to get to around 70mph i know that might just be talk, or there goin "down hill with the wind behind them" lol but on mine im strugling to get past 55mph ish gets there fine but after that its like it gets to about 9000 revs then then wont let it go any higher than that. Like its restricted but it can rev till red line in all the other gears. just wondering if there is some other kind of restriction. if theres not and the bike just carnt get any faster then thats fine but i dont really want to be spending loads just to get i…

Hey, I want to buy a clock and a MPG dial for my Yamaha YZF R125 but I have no idea whether it is possible to do so due to the bike having limited access to any sort of bar that a general bike clock or MPG dial could attach to. Also I was wondering if I could actually get an MPG dial, I know on cars the ECU collects the information and that you just need to attach a display, but I have no idea if it is the same for bikes. Can anyone help Please?

Hey folks, just bought a 1996 xj600 diversion today with 46,000 miles on clock. Is this high mileage for this type of engine and how many miles can I expect to get out of it if serviced regularly? I've owned 3 Yamaha Viragos, two 535's and a 750cc and found them to be great bikes, very reliable and am hoping the 600 will be every bit as good. There's no centre stand on the bike and was wondering if one can be fitted? Also, as I am vertically challenged is it possible to lower the suspension on the xj6? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Tony

Hi all , I am looking for some advice on an exhaust system . I currently own a 1985 MaxximX 750 liquid cool. NOTE: this is not the maxxim 750 or the maxxim 700. The problem with this exhaust is there is a few spot with weld and the rest is not that strong anymore. I want to cut the exhaust after the down pipes and then go 4-1 into a GSX-R flange with a GSX-R pipe . Now how much or any will this affect the carburators? will I need to change the jets ? This bike is originaly equipt with a 4-2 exhaust. Is there anything I should beware before attempting ? I have previously looked to replace the complete exhaust with an aftermarket, but none are availlable for thi…

Started my bike (R1 5PW) for the first time in a couple of weeks on Sunday and it was idling at 4000rpm, I went out out for a small ride to see if it was just cos I hadnt ridden it for a while but it was made no difference. When I got home I lowered the idle with the adjuster but could only lower it to idle at 1500rpm no lower... Should I be worried about this? Anyone have any ideas why this may have happened? Your help is greatly appreciated Paul

Hi guys/girls, im new to this forum but i have been browsing over the past few days when my bike when wrong a few weeks ago and it seem i could get some advise from you all, i will give as much information as i can and it would be great to get some feed back. So my brother used to own the bike and the piston blew so i got a rebore, new piston and rings and gaskets, put it all together and it started fine, but the powervalve wouldnt kick in, so i toyed around with the servo and looked up in the haynes manual if everything was working fine, to which it was. I then took off the tail pipe and tried to run it, it ran perfect, powervalve kicking in and everything, so i thoug…

  17. Hey all, First post! Just passed my test last November, and bought my first bike last week. Did my training on an XJ6 and loved it, so thought it would be a good first bike. I'm planning to move to London next month so bought the bike for commuting. Living in Edinburgh just now, and although the weather is not great, can't resist taking it to work nearly every day! (unless it's really icy or chucking it down!). A few people I know have bikes, and are telling me that I need to wash it every time I go out if there's salt on the roads. Is that correct? The last few days, I've come home, hosed it down, but by 8pm it's already pretty cold so I've put on the cove…

Hi all newbe here I have been giving my 03 fazer 1000 a service and have came across a problem. My exup servo does not preform a self test when the ignition is turned on. I thought the servo was faulty but everything checks out ok. Power getting to the servo and if i apply 12 volts to the servo it moves. I also checked the resistance which is also fine. If i move the servo off center it will reset to zero but it i turn the ignition off and on it just sits there. Any ideas?
