Hi, I've got a 2010 ybr 125, done around 800 miles on it now commuting, utility and some just riding for fun and loving every minute. just wondering a couple of things really. I've been ok with servicing and I've done an extra oil change, adjusted bits and bobs, fitted heated grips and stuff but the front brake really feels bobbins. it grabs under about 20mph and doesn't do too much over about 30mph. is it worth fitting a braided hose to it to get a bit more feel to it? I know they make a difference on bigger stuff and on mountain bike disc brakes (to which i'm more accustomed)but is it worth it on my bike? I've cleaned the rotor, scuffed the pads in and made sure it's…

You need to do some cutting and soldering as the connections given aren't long enough and the correct shape. Will post pictures in a while.

Evening all! I have a black and gold R125 and due to the recession im staying on it longer than planned and putting off getting on a 600! due to the insurance, tax and fuel costs so i want to gradually do some small upgrades, visual and maybe one or two engine pieces. so firs tof all i bought some bar ends when i was randomly visiting streetbike, and i got the stock ones off the bike, but i see no way of getting the new ones on :/ theyre the Motrax Gold and Carbon look ones, where the stock has a massive thread, the new ones just have a rubber bung and a small diameter screw, any ideas?! Hi all, New to this forum group so hi. I ride an XJ6 S Divvy 09 and love it. owned it for a couple months now and still absolutely love it!! I want to modify a few things like tail tidy, get LED tail light with integrated indicators and put on a decent pipe and get rid of the cat box. The question is.......I want to keep the center stand but all the exhaust systems that I have looked at require the removal of the center stand. Anyone got any advice on this or know a way to get around this? Also to those that have done any mods that are worth doing or not would like to know (esp the tail light). Thanks Nick

Hey all , Just wondering if anyone has any advice or experience in changing the handle bars on their FZ1. I'm 6 ft 6 and struggle abit with the riding position almost too low down so I'm arched over quite alot, which after a hour or so becomes very uncomfortable. Just purchased one of these i know its cheap but thought i would give it a go , be good to see if anyone on here has decided to buy cheap too http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160521832918&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_6082wt_1139 Thanks Dan

Hello everybody my name is Arnar I live in Iceland and a few months ago i bought my first bike, my choice was a cheap old pre division xj600, it had been sitting in storage the last 6 years or so and was missing a few pieces also the carbs are stuck and all around the bike is not in a very good condition, as i have quite a few American cars jeeps and such which require quite a lot of maintenance I have skills suited to rebuilding for instance an old bike or old cars and such. Funny thing is i have been calling the only licensed yamaha dealer here in Iceland and find them very pricey, for example for the price of two new engine heads (not that i need two) i could buy a br…

Hello everyone, First post so go easy. I've been fortunate enough to acquire some genuine Yamaha LED indicators for my new XJ6 Diversion. Installing the rear ones seems pretty straight forward. When it comes to the front ones however, I was wondering how easy it is to get access to them. Or do I need to remove the front fairing? Lets hope the snow buggers off soon....

  14. Hey guys I got a '59' plate XJ 600 naked in Sept 2009 , I ( at the time) had a 33 BHP restrcition Licence when I borught it . It is currently fitted and came fitted with a 33 BHP restriction kit . The bike paperwork, and the mechanic handed over a seperate steel engine part , which I now have been told is a throttle/ carb plate which was taken out , in order to fit the restriction plate/kit . The part was about 4x 2 inches of an irregular rectangular shape . Upon recieving the bike for the first time the mechanic told me firmly " Keep hold of this , you'll need it when de- restricting" . I bet you guesses it by this point , I managed to lose this very importa…

Aloha from Hawaii, I have a 1977 Yamaha XS360 Im going to remove the stock air filter and add K&N Pod Filters. I'm going to leave the exhaust system stock. Do I need to rejet the carbs? How do I know I need to rejet? Ive read somewhere that the signs are backfiring, and plug color. Is this right? If I need to rejet, then what are the specs (jets, etc.), settings I need to get near it needs to be running right? The second question is, what do I do with the pipe that ran from the motor to the carbs?it actually attached from the plastic split tube that ran from carbs to engine case. I'm assuming this is the crankcase breather? Now that I'm replacing with po…

  16. well i have a few questions about parts interchange and if i should even try things. well i bought a 1982 XV920 fuel tank since it holds more fuel then the stock 750 tank. question #1: the 920 tank has 1 petcock my 750 has 2. can i use one 750 petcock to feed 2 carbs? i'm willing to make a place for a second petcock on the tank but if i don't have to that would make things more simple. next question (#2): i bought a use 920 rear end(bike is shaft drive). i know the 750 have a rear gear ratio of 3.21:1 and the 920 has 3.14:1. can i swap the 920 rearend in? i trying to lower my RPMs on the hwy. and well if i math is right even if i am math tard i should drop around 200-2…

Just got myself a ybr125, i'm new to biking, got my cbt at the end of the week! I was wondering if anyone knows anything about screens or handguards for it? I'm starting to ride in November - maybe not the cleverest thing ever - and I'm not too keen on getting battered by the english elements! any suggestions? Cheers

Awesome web site, Just picked up an old ('86) fz 600, as a fixer upper in my shop class. Missing rear plastic, everything else not bad. Anyone done a tail swap to something newer? Back tire weather cracked, how wide can I safely go? Thanks.

Aloha from Hawaii everyone, Newbie here. I just bought a 1977 yamaha XS 360 and I'm about to embark in a project turning it into a cafe. I am one hell of a tough time finding the HEADER part of the exhaust system. My header pipes are rusted and butt ugly. I've tried eBay, but found pipes are just as bad as mine. I've ran into a lot of exhaust stuff from MAC systems but are all for the XS400. Now here's my question. Does the XS400 exhaust/ header pipes fit on the XS 360? Please HEEELLPP! Any leads to good stock header pipes and mufflers or aftermarket exhaust would greatly be appreciated. Again, the question is: Does the exhaust system (headers and muff…
