Hi All. Greetings, I am new to the club. I am looking for advice on replacing the OEM exhaust on 95 model FZR1000. I need to replace the collector box ( with EXUP valve, due corrosion) but think it may be better to replace the whole system. Any ideas who still make a system for this old model ? Thanks Sean South Africa

Hello and good afternoon to all I have been a car driver since the age of 17....im now 29 - where did the time go? well, anyways, as I was nearing my mid-life crisis, I decided to undertake a huge trip with 2 other people in a 1 liter nissan micra - nicknamed the ghengis car - I drove from london UK to Ulaanbator, Mongolia. After a lot of planning, countless visas, lots of american dollars, corrupt border officials and everything going wrong.....5 weeks later I arrived at UB, tired, dirty, smelly, proud and somewhat fragile after eating nothing but mutton and noodles for a whole week. Upon my arrival I decided 9813 miles wasn't enough, I got my arse over to Beiji…

I am looking to get a replacement fairing for a 1998 FZS600, the fixing points on either side of the fairing have broken and the fairing is a little flexible in the winds. Would be great to get a replacement before winter settles, so a quick response is appreciated. Any idea on where I can get one, new preferably any colour, am in the process of restoring my Fazer to orginal condition and spec.

I bought this bike awhile back and have never gotten it to run right sometimes it will fire right up and hit on all 4 and some time it runs on 2 cylenders sometimes it wont run at all I did some reading on here and unplugged cleaned and plugged back in the connections from the coil it seemed to help for about a minute then it went back to its old ways. I also unplugged the connections for the Ignition box under the tank and when I plugged it back in it was better to but always goes back to running like crap any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated thanks

  9. Hi All, This is my first topic in ths forum and I'm starting with a technical problem. This morning while riding I heard unusual noise and sudden loss of motive power. Initially I thought the chain has broken, but it wasn't broken. The front sprocket was missing. Furtunately I was not far from home. Does anyone know what can cause the front sprocket to fell? Of course I'm going to put new pair of sprockets and new chain. I selected a front sprocket with a tooth less (13T). I expect this to cause a bit more torque trasfered to the rear wheel. Are there any side effects of replacing 14T sprocket with a 13T ? I appreciate any suggestions. regards Georgi p.…

I've got a yamaha 100cc lt2 that I've been riding as a trail bike since I bought it earlier in the year. I've recently decided to save up and buy a street bike but have recently started to wonder how hard it would be to get a title for the lt2. The former owner never had a title for it and he has had it for at least the past 10 to 15 years. I'm just very unsure how to even get started to looking into getting a title for it and if it would be worth my trouble at all. I know things like this vary from state to state, so I live in va if that helps with any possible tips. Thanks!

Hi Guys I recently bought a 2008 R6 with 915 miles on the clock. Absolutely love it to death. However, over the last two days its developed a bit of a problem and i am hoping some of the veterans on here may be able to offer advice. When i take the bike for a ride in the morning i.e. from a cold start, there is no problem at all... everything feels as though it should do. When i take it for its second ride of the day, i feel like i've done ten rounds with mike tyson by the end of it. When i release the throttle it feels as though i am being thrown forward. My thighs kill cos im hugging the tank to maintain position, my wrists kill because i'm constantly pushing myself …

A couple of weeks ago I went to start my 82 XS400SJ and when it fired it ran rough, had no power, and would backfire. It did seem to run smooth if I got it up to over 4500 RPM with no load. I had to leave it and went away for a couple of weeks and now I cannot get it to fire at all. It looks like I have spark on both sides, I have a full flow of gas when I put the petcock into the "Prime" position (Tried to start it there as well), the fuel is clean and recent, and the battery is well charged. I am pretty skilled at 4 wheelers but am a relative newbie on 2 wheelers. Before I start running off on wild goose chases can anybody tell me which direction to start in?

Hi I havent indroduced myself properly yet I am just starting out on my fist bike a 2010 yamaha ybr 125. I got it in July and have been looking around this site since around then. The bike is great fun to ride round the lanes on the way to collage and work and i'm really enjoying it however I don't find the stock headlight bulb very good, it has been better since the 600 mile service however still not very good. I have looked around at a few sites which all seem to recomend 12v 60/55w H4 bulbs to go in the bike ( http://www.bikebulbs.com/view_products.php?bike_link_make_id=22&bike_link_model_id=7641&model_lamp_code=H4) however this is for the 07 model which i…

I pretty much run a straight pipe exhaust for my WR125x and haven't noticed any decrease in power except for some backfiring sounds when I downshift. Will I fould up the engine because I have lost backpressure? Thanks!

Hey, am new to this forum so i'll try to give as much detail as i can. I've just had my 600 mile service on my XJ6S and never really had any problems with it until after this. I brought it home fine on the motorway but when in the cold or wet mornings or on first starts during the day, the back wheel steps out quite a lot when i brake. Could they have increased the strength of the back brake without telling me, could it be just the cold tires mixed with the rain in Glasgow, could i have just hit a bad patch of diesel on the road (Although it was stepping out when braking in a straight line quiet a few times? Am a new biker and never really experienced this much at al…

Has anyone experienced way too much noise in the helmet after installing the LeoVince exhaust?

  18. Started by Kayley,

Hi guys and girls, I'm new to the forum so........... Hi!! My ride is George, an XJ6-S, I've had him since May, done about 1500 miles and altogether very pleased My first bike was an ER5 and since having a 'proper' bike I've learnt a lot and am still learning. Anyway enough of the soppy stuff! At speeds of 60, the noise inside my helmet is so so loud. If I sit up straight my chest takes most of the blast and it really quietens down. Somebody suggested to crouch down more but if I wanted to do that I've had bought a sports bike. I've had a new helmet and it has helped but not much! I'm 5'3, so not sure if my height plays a part..... do you think a double bubble …

This post comes froma yahoo group "SecaTwo" that I a member of, and I thought it was a good idea, that would work for any motorcycle. A database of parts that fit or would work on a bike that they were not specifically made for. Here is the post: Hey I don't know about you people, but I have been having a heck of a time finding aftermarket parts for my Seca. I've been doing tons of research on my bike (mostly on the internet), and I've started to notice that the Seca shares alot of the same parts as bikes like YZF 600R or FZ-6. On some sites were you can find parts for bikes you won't even find the Seca even mentioned even though the part will fit your bike. So…
