Does anyone have any recommendations for good aftermarket replacement coils for a XJ650LJ?

Right i bought my scootay coupel of weeks ago it had a flashing one bars worth of petrol in it and was stood from may, ive changed spark plug, cleaned air filter, gone through 2 full tanks of petrol with red ex in and done around 130 miles. i was told when buying it a week before he had a new piston in not sure if he got head done and it had the clocks reset n i got it at 170 miles, i got it put through its test so it has a years ticket on. right thats the background of the bike. right the problem. ill start it up to go to work and its fine and pokey until about a minute down the road then when i stop to turn ill try to go n it will like bog down n have no revs, the…

Wondering if anyone would be able to help me , im currently rebuilding a 1999 R6 , the previous numpty... sorry owner , in their infinite wisdom decided it would be a good idea to remove the fuel pump bracket and move the pump , simply wrapping it in rubber and electrical tape and laying it under the fuel tank I have bought the bracket to refit the pump but the pipe positions on the pump dont look right , one is a straight pipe from the pump the other is a 90 degree bent pipe i have seen a picture of a pump on ebay where both pipes are bent at 90 degrees , im thinking my bike may have the wrong pump fitted (the term "fitted" is used loosely) but cant find any other…

I'm thinking about making an exhaust hanger to replace the rear footpegs and tidy up the back end, I'll get a profile laser cut and bend it, similar to this one below, if a few other people are after one I can get them done in a batch and make them cheaper than these. If it's just me I'll mill a profile myself and make a one off as it'll be cheaper. hi just started using my R1 after 6 months parked up have noticed when you switch bike off the cable going to i think exhaust cat it keeps moving and making a noise any ideas its like a small solenoid or motor running

Hi everyone im new here and have a few questions you may be able to help me with..... Very pleased with my first bike, an xt125x (until i get my full ticket) but have a few issues with it....... firstly the headlight seems to be awful.......and was wondering if there is a aftermarket unit or halogen bulbs i could buy? (maybe the unit from an xt660 is better and could be fitted? and second, where do i get a performance air filter from? i've already fitted a full arrow race exhaust, made the acceleration better but not much top end........i have had a look around the forum and yes, i know they are very slow and not much can be done to make them faster..........but hey, eve…

Hi I'm wondering if any1 has fitted a malossi 180 big bore kit to there yzfr125 and got it workig as j have fitted the kit and the force master 2 but the force master is not picking up the throttle sensor. Any one had the same problem ? Malosi reconcile the unit is duff but I want to check if there's a way round it before I send it back. Any help would be gratefull

Just purchased a 2010 FJR1300. Ttere is an annoying "chirp" that shows up on between 3K and 3.5K RPM Is this common? Is there a cure? Regards

Hi there Got a late 2009 XJ6S Diversion which has been a great bike so far - currently at around 4000 miles. Had a service done a few weeks back for oil/filter change and general check-over which was all fine. However ever since I've had the bike (for about a year), I've been getting an annoying buzzing at around 6000rpm in any gear - and believe it also vibrates when standing still (on side or main stand). The buzzing is through the pegs and pretty much the whole frame - really bad causing numbness. Particularly annoying given 6k is cruising speed on the motorway in 6th! Any ideas what it could be? Hi, I'm looking to get a seat cowl in the next few days and the black XJ6 09 I have is black, however it has a grey fairing on the back.... Does anyone know what Yamaha calls this colour by chance??? Reason being is that Demon bikes do one in either Black (same colour as the tank) or Titanium Grey (not sure if this is the rear fairing colour for the black version: http://www.demonbikes.com/more/on/details/12965 Any help would be highly appreciated as I think I'd prefer the cowl to match the colour of the fairing instead of the tank!? I'm looking to do my full bike test soon, so because I'm 18 I can't do my direct access to a bigger bike without restricters, so I was thinking, if I got my R125 derestricted would it void the warranty on it? And anyone got any ideas what I could expect from it performance wise. and any recomended exhausts that would help. The bike is the 2010 model.

Hello everyone, My name is Hambo and I am having problems with my 1983 XS400 Maxim. Ive had it for 10 years with no major problems. I use it as a back up when my other bigger bikes get issues. So as you can imagine it sits for months at a time exept the occasional start up every 2 weeks. My problem is after I ride it for about 8-10 miles it loses power and will not go over 30-40 mph, Ive cleaned the carbs thoroughly(complete breakdown),dumped tank and added new gas, changed the oil and plugs every year, new coils and voltage regulator, new battery(AGM) this year but I cannot figure it out. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Hi iv'e had a 05 plate TZR 50 since october now and im now thinking of getting a bigger bike and money is always a problem. I would love to keep the bike as its the best looking 50 around and it handles like a dream but now i want to get onto a bigger bike. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise on how much i could get for it. Everything is standard except it is de-restricted always had the best oil used. top speed i have had out of it is 65 mph down a hill and 60mph on the flat its got brand new tyres but the fairing like most 50s around is a little bit scratched (not from me i should add) so yeah if anyone could give me some advise that would be wicked Che…

Recently completed me wife's Birthday Bike. She is a huge Duke fan. I purchased this YZF1000R about 3 weeks ago. Once I found a painter, the fun started. I stripped the plastics off and took them to him and told him of my theme. I think he did a fantastic job. While down I took care of the mechanical stuff, tune up and fluids. I also polished the frame while it was naked. That was a job. Here are some pics. The first is the before pic.

Hi, Standard headight bulb is the BA20d 35w/35w luminescence. Could i fit a 45/40w halogen BA20d bulb with no adverse effects on battery drain, or wiring? Thanks

Hi everyone, I'm a noob so please treat me gently! I've recently bought a YBR125 ex-demo from my local Yamaha dealer (50 miles on the clock!) and it's a great bike except that it's developed a squeak while I'm riding that sounds like it's coming from the back wheel. It seems to appear over about 10mph. If I spin the back wheel with the bike on the stand there's no squeak there. Has anyone else experienced this / know what it could be please? I guess I'll have to take it back to the dealer but that's such a pain..! Any advice gratefully received.

hi all , would anyone know if a R6 downpipe , would fit on the xj6 09 model , the 2002 R6 did not have the cat unit , they are easily available and would allow fitment of an after market can at a cheaper than full system cost , the xj does use a de-tuned r6 unit after all , any thoughts , thanks loads , razz
