As some may no i had to rebuild the topend of my dt again. as my powervalve needed work doing (skimmed) to match the bore, so all is well no leaks fires up alot better, and sounds good before when i started it on the choke it would be grumpy now it idles highiesh on choke like is should. really happy with the way shes rideing plenty of power but havnt wound her out yet . Have hit power ok just takeing it easy..How long u think the proccess of running in a rebuilt topend takes.. Sure its only piston and rings??? Well and a rebore! On my YBR 125 I noticed today while on my way home that my forks were squeaking, its not too bad and isn't herd under slight compression it was more when I stopped and pushed down hard on them, anyone have any ideas or should I leave it as its not doing it all the time. Thanks Jack

Hi all Can anyone tell me why the Haynes YBR125 and XT125 manual only covers the XT125 up to 2009 ? Was the model revised or was that when production stopped even though i have seen them on 2011 plate ? will this cover my 2010 bike, i ordered this manual on ebay before i noticed luckily it did not turn up (refunded). any help appreciated nigel

Hi Guys Been away for awhile as bills have to be paid. Bike running lousy..dies at high revs and wont idle. Removed carb today, stripped everything, soaked in boiling water, sprayed carb cleaner and blew all out with compressed air. Refitted carb but she`s leaking fuel badly out overflow and still running lousy...seems to get better with choke out. Could this be floats or maybe needle and seat?

I have a 2009 YBR125, which I have ridden for the last 2 years or so. Yesterday I had a bike to ground interface, which resulted in a need for a replacement front mudguard (easy and cheap) and instrument console - the back casing is mashed and the glass on the speedo has broken. Now... BrooksBarns have a speedo for a 2005/6 YBR on their site for about £34. Looking on the Yamaha parts finder it would appear that some of the internals have different part codes than for the 2007-2009 model, but are they still compatible? I have seen kph ones on fleabay for around £45 but I would rather have one that is in mph for obvious reasons. Unfortunately from what I can see the p…

Bike going great from 5000rpm upwards..below that its sputtering and not idling. Wondering now about the oil/fuel mixture. Its running on the autolube system and someone suggested it may be drowning in oil..so he suggested a hotter plug. I`ve noticed in the manual the oil delivery can be set so wondering if I should fiddle with it.

Hi all was just wondering if anyone knew where the restricter was in the Xt 125 r 57' ? I've had different people telling me different things so thought is just ask here ? Thanks

2008 xt125r , neutral light stays and dash also flashs up "endr" and "ntord" when ignition is off, when ignition is turned on the neutral light gets brighter and dash goes off, have tried all solution of diconnecting battery and then turning on when "endr" flashes up while pressing "mode" button on left switchgear but still the same! i have noticed the neutral light is dimmer when ignition is off, if i put it in gear the light goes out and the dash stops showing endr and ntord, is this a wiring/earth problem? has anyone solved this? or is it just the dash problem?? another thing it does if left diconnected for an hour , when i reconnect the dash all the numbers etc light …

hi, just wondering what exhaust system is available or compatible with my 1982 xj750 maxim, the bike was imported from usa and the collector box is rotten, i am not keen on a 4 into 1 thanks

picked/nicked this from the 2 stroke forum. never heard of it before, but you can dye plastics. there's not loads of colours but if you want to be "back in black" ( see what i did there?) worth doing for £6

Do they have any lights in the speedometer and rev meter for night driving?

Hi Guys. As it turned out the ignition coils where both all right . I got them re tested. Left the bike into a proper bike shop while I was away. It turned out to be the throttle position sensor and the CDI Unit. The shop is testing a spare CDI Unit tomorrow to confirm if mine is fecked. Will keep you Posted on the outcome Mel.

hi all I bought my bike a couple of days ago and basicly need abit of advice. my bike starts and runs nicely but my break light and indicators don't come on but my head light does when the bikes running itself so if anyone can help itl be much appreacated

Tail light was working all along then yesterday suddenly nothing..brake light still worked. Swore a bit as I wanted to get the bike MOT`d today. Changed the bulb and still same story. Stripped off bracket to check wiring and everything looked ok. Here`s the kicker..so swopped the 3 wires around going into tail light bracket and now it works. I`m confused??? Anyway it got the bike thru the test and she`s 100% road legal.

Hi folks, first of what may be many questions as I try to resurrect my little imported 175. I have tried Yambits, Wemoto and CMS to no avail for the air filter element. I have the cage, if it is Indeed the right cage, but the filter itself was just some old sponge stuffed in the air box. Anyone know what would be compatible? The box is vaguely diamond shaped when looking in, and maybe 4 inches deep. Cheers Mark
