    I have been quite lucky so far..just small dents in the bikes..but I will have to do something about this one. Been looking at various techniques but want to be sure I don`t cause further harm. They talk about heating and cooling..water in the tank and freezing it..glueing or welding things on and pulling it out..or hitting it out from the inside. Has anyone had experience of successfully repairing a dent like this? It looks like it should be quite easily repairable.

    Can anyone guess at what the problem could be on my dt 125 2002 I thought it would be the water pump seal so I've got a new one ready to fit but now I've found coolant in the exhaust so could this be just the head gasket or something worse I have a new head and base gasket just in case thanks for any help

    Just ordered a new RH mirror from the USA for my XT250G 1980 to finsh the restoration project and it has arrived, is the right part number, but has what appears to be an M8 LH thread, but the handlebar clamp seems to be M10 - not sure if LH or RH. Does anyone know if there is an insert missing from the clamp as the other side appears to be the same size and I don't want to order the other hand and find that doesn't fit either. Thanks Nick

    Hi guys I was wondering if there was a way to flush out my gearbox after having creamy oil from water pump seal being faulty I don't want to fix it all and put fresh oil just for any junk that's left in there to ruin it again any help appreciated

    hi all im Gav im new to this and fairly new to the bike scene, I have a yamaha dt 125 would say between 1990 & 1998 not to sure, but I have. few questionsthatI cant work out myself 1st, the bike hasnt been run in a while and I fitted a new carb to it today had just got it started when I noticed there was a milky brown liquid dripping from around the gearbok area aby ideas? 2nd the 2 stroke tank is under the seat and connected to it is another tank which I think is coolant bu thad no pipes connected so does it need connecting to something? as there is already a radiator on the front with water in. 3rd after fitting the new carb I noticed 2 clear tubes coming off t…

    I have been having a few probs with my YZF. My first thought was the head gasket so bought one but garage wanted to eliminate other thoughts first, ie, carbs, so had those cleaned by sonic vibration taken apart and so on, put back on bike all posible air leak areas checked, all went well, still back fired after, loudly, but bike seamed ok when pulling away then it started to play up again after a few days use. Now it is back to how it used to be before the carb cleaning. Hard to start but when started there seams to be a dull clunk noise now like one of the pistons is being pulled through its cycle by the others also the smell of petrol/not firing on piston stroke fee…

    Can anyone guide me through a clutch adjustment before I consider replacing clutch packs? Fitted new cable so no problem there. The manual talks of an adjustment screw behind the cover. I have 2 DT175`s and notice the angle on the clutch levers on the engines very different. The one that`s slipping, the angle on this lever is way more forward. Is this maybe a clue its out of adjustment.

  12. Hello Does anyone know how to adjust the "reach" on clutch and brake levers for an XV250 Virago? They are a bit "far" for a female friend who has just bought an "N" reg model. Apart from that she is very happy with the bike after a small overhaul (the bike, not her, that is). Regards, Clive

    Hi, I recently acquired a 1985 FZ400R Does anyone know what fork oil and how much to use? Also I have a FZ600 manual and from what I can see this bike is very similar to the FZ400R? I sure I have seen somewhere that the FZ600 is a bored our FZ400? Any help would be appreciated Cheers Dean

    Just recently after redoing the wire harness on my DT the ignition started having problems. The bike starts just fine, and revs normally up to about 4500 revs, until the ignition starts to cut. Will only go about 50kmh now since doesnt allow high revs. I changed the spark plug with no result, and also the ignition coil. Cleaning the carburator had no result either so I am thinking that t´he magneto is not working right. Does anyone know what this problem might be since i dont have much experience with the electrics of motorcycles? If the problem is the magneto, is this a hard job to fix and about how costly?

    Right after Work today I topped up the oil, put the carbs on and the wiring loom and strapped the motor to the work mate. Stuck the battery on charge and went to karate for 3 hours. Just got Home and charger says it's charged so plugged it all in and took spark plugs out and tried turning her over. NOTHING. All I'm getting is the starter relay clicking like mad and the starter motor trying to turn. Engine turns fine by hand so not fucked. You guys think I need a new battery, starter motor or starter relay?

    Hi guys, Bought a 2006 FZ1 at the beginning of the year and have since had an accident on it also most got it all back together and have just fitted a new radiator. Was wondering if anyone could advise how much coolant I should add to the radiator? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks - H08817

    Not sure what the problem is, it starts up fine, warms up from ticking over for a bit but the minute I try to drive it off in 1st gear it gets up to about 3k-4k revs then just slowly dies out on me - revs jump up and down a bit before dying out? there has been terribly heavy rain but I dried every cable/battery area etc etc It usually drives off perfectly fine at 3/4k revs - cold weather/warm weather. It's been sitting for about 6 days unstarted our untouched but I've left it far longer than this before and it's been fine, it has plenty oil, plenty petrol and seems to be getting enough airflow but it just doesn't want to budge.   20. Hi, I have just bought a second hand 2002 model XVS650 Classic. When I turn the ignition key to on I here a buzzing/sizzling sound for a few seconds and the engine warning light comes on. After a few seconds it stops, the light goes off and the bike starts normally. I would appreciate any thoughts on what could be causing this and where to look . Thanks.
