So today the shock decided to pee out all its oil. So now just riding on the spring..no damping (gets pretty bouncy). Can these monoshocks be repaired?

Hi Have bought a RXS 100 and its really not running well. Firstly I'll give a bit of background about the bike. Its only done 3500 miles from new since 1989 and I believe this is correct due to previous MOT's and the condition of parts etc. When I got it someone had butchered the airbox and fitted a cone filter to it , so I fitted a standard airbox with a brand new original airfilter. The spark plug is a BR8HIX Iridium (not sure if this is the equivalent of a standard plug) The bike starts really easily and has plenty of compression and ticks over nicely but when running it feels as though its choked and won't rev out in any gear above 3rd. The max speed I achieved…

Need help from Dragstar 125 owners please. Neutral switch connection, the only wire close to it is the one marked in the photo. Can someone confirm this is the right one? My understanding is that neutral switch needs an negative from the battery. Cheers.

Stupidly enough I haven't taken photos when taking apart my XVS 125. I have rebuilt it, took enough months so no chance to remember. How do I connect the HT leads? I noticed there are 2 types of shoes on the wire one bigger. Are they also colour coded for left and right lead? Sorry chaps for my ignorance. Manual doesn't say!! Regards Edit: I meant front and back pots. Spark Timing is different right? There must be a colour code to ensure proper wiring.

Hi guys, My tyre went flat on my way to work and is currently stuck in my work car park. I need to get to the garage to have the new tyre fitted and have two options: Wheel the bike on the 20 minute walk there, or remove the wheel and take that down to the garage. Is removing the wheel and replacing it an easy task? what are any major issues I would encounter? Thanks for your help.

Posted this in the newbie section, was advised to move it here, so here goes. Hiya there guys, I picked up a little 08 YBR 125 in early summer, good nick and runs very well, had an issue with the fuel pump in the summer but other than that its been solid, have been loving it commuting to work every day even with winter drawing in. Issue is i commute early mornings, leaving the house at 6am its already pitch black, mostly unlit 60mph b roads, which called attention to the very poor headlight. I'm having to slow down considerably, other cars don't notice me all the time,my stomach is in my throat untill i get back into the land of streetlamps. Its the ba20d fi…

Hi guys. I'm new to bikes and I've just bought my own 2010 model with 23000 miles on it. My dad is good with mechanics as he restores classic cars so he can help, however I wouldn't mind trying by myself first. So my problem: the bike starts after 3 kicks or so, and off the button when warm, however the battery sometimes makes a buzzing noise (needs replacing?). The bike needs some throttle to keep running and takes around 5 minutes of this to run alone. So my question is what can I do or check to improve this? So the bike will run better. Thanks in advance

Hey guys and girls, Well i have just been dumped at the cave my mates 50cc moped and to be fair im already pissed off with it and I've not even started on the thing. Now a bit of history, he dropped it at mine about a month ago as it was coughing and spluttering when he accelerated and the dope didnt put a part of the air filter back on as he didn't think it needed it, so it was getting too much air and after a bit of gaffer tape and a word of advise to get the pipe back on when he was home solved that problem. Now it's back but now as of Sunday he has said it revs up but as soon as its going and you put your feet up it bogs down and dies. Now as i had today off i th…

Hi all , new to the forum , need some help on my 1998 XT600E . The bike has a certain problem . when you start it on cold it is fine and will run perfectly until you reach high revs / speed, when it starts to misfire and then eventually stops. when you stop for about 10-20 minutes it starts and runs for about 30 seconds then dies again . when you are at high revs and speed it starts to misfire and then eventually cuts out . Also it is fine just driving at low speeds until it gets really hot . I am thinking the problem could be something to do with spark . I have checked all to do with the fuel and that is all fine . can anyone please help me ??
