Now, this is likely to be a very noob question, but i am a tad confused. I want to get a brighter light for my 07 ybr, so have been looking into the options Everywhere I look i have managed to work out that the headlight for the bike is a H4. http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/yamaha-ybr-125--2007-07 So i went along to halfords and purchased one of these. http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs-wiper-blades-batteries/bulbs/halfords-extreme-brilliance-hbu472eb-h4-car-bulb-x-1 However, When i came to replacing the bulb, it had a very different fitting: http://www.halfords.com/motoring/motorcycling/motorcycle-parts/halfords-bike-it-motorcycle-bulb-hmb395-12v-3…

Been meaning to sort out the rear light and no indicators working. Neutral light and headlight working fine so I`m wondering about flasher unit for indicators and the loom to tailight looks dodgy (hanging under rear mudguard perilously close to the tyre. Any ideas how to go about sorting it out..electrics not my cup of tea.

  5. Does anyone have any recommendations on installing usb to the YBR (or indeed any bike); any particular make that you would point me at? Any issues with connecting direct to battery or is it better to find something switched to ignition (headlight)? In short I'm looking to have USB power and a reasonably waterproof mount for an iphone 5s - mainly i want to use it for satnav but while I'm here i might as well ask for opinions on bluetooth headsets for answering the phone. At the moment I have pretty much taken the view that while I am riding i will not be answering the phone at all, but it would certainly be interesting to hear opinions from more experienced riders. …

Hi stupid question but which way round do they go, does the silver spring round the seal face up/outside the fork or down/inside the fork. New seals were fitted but still leaking and hence failed its mot, 1st mot since owning it. Stanchions are fine. Not sure if they were put in the wrong way round or maybe not driven in correctly. Cheers

Bit of late summer maintenance work today, checking over stuff as you do. Plugs 1 and 4 look to be running a little rich, 2 and 3 are fine, bikes running good If my understanding is correct, is this the air adjustment screw? If it is (and both heads look mullered), is it in or out to weaken? Thanks

So, I've got this bike which I've left sitting out in the rain for years. It's in a sorry state. I've been out and given it a wash this morning and had a look at what needs doing, and cosmetically I've got the following list of jobs: Replace chain and sprockets - rusted to a lovely autumnal colour - needs binned and replaced Replace exhaust - matches the chain in rustiness. A replacement exhaust which isn't chrome would be perfect. Decide what to do about the wheels - the rims have rusty patches and would need some serious work to restore them, but cost of new wheels?! Would love to get replacement wheels which aren't finished with chrome. Front disc looks a tiny bit…

  11. What do I need to do to stop my bike running lean and a bit sluggish after fitting a full arrow exhaust .I'm relatively new to bikes so help would be appreciated.

Well tried my RD250E (1979) for the first time to day - a bit of a shake down Well the good news is it is still quick and smells great, I forgot how Revvie they were and how much you need to be in the power band, suprised at how easy the front wheel gets lite Gear changes felt a little notchy but will adjust the clutch later and see if it improves to be fair used to ride them in trainers back then but know its boots all the way. I would appreciate your thoughts on a couple of things, firstly the brakes feel rubbish plenty of pressure from the lever but didnt stop very quick. Maybe I am just used to modern twin disc fronts or they need bedding in for a while - …

Hi all i have been restoring a Honda Mt5 moped for my son. on rebuilding the bike i made some pre mix fuel as i have had the oil pump off.i think i put to much oil in this. the bike started and ran ok for a few minuets then died. the oil pump had primed and was pumping into the manifold so far to much oil was going in to the mixture, i removed the plug which was fouled and have since drained the carb and fuel tank and refiled the tank with fresh fuel, the bike will not start. my question is could the oil in the fuel block jets in the carb as there does not seem to be fuel getting to the chamber as the plug seems dry. any advice would be fantastic cheers nigel

Hi I haven't had my dragstar for long but when I got it home I noticed underneath was slightly oily on the left hand side of the bike kinda near the side stand along the frame and surrounding areas. Cleaned it all down and had my first run on it today went about 20 miles or so, had a look under and again was fairly oily, doesn't seem to be the sump plug but appears to be coming from up higher in that area and spreading it around the lower areas. Can't quite see very well as the bikes too low to the ground. Can anyone help with ideas as to what it could be ?

Hi all I'm looking to go about installing my 16 apes onto my dragstar. I've never worked on bikes before I bought this so if I ask lots of questions you know why haha I've got the bars and new grips. Now is there anyone that can do the work around the Cambridgeshire, bedfordshire area? I can get my cables extended if I take them off and get them sent away, how easy is it to remove the brake, clutch and throttle cables ? Next is the electrical side of things. Now would I be able to do the electrics myself ? Bare in mind I'm not quite experienced in electrics. Ideally if there's somone in my local area which could do the lot then that would be perfect

  20. Can anyone explain the difference between adjusting a throttle needle up/down versus the airscrew on the carb? The way I understand is they are both affecting air fuel ratio.
