    Hi Guys, New to the list and looking for some info on end cans for a 2003 Fazer 1000. Smaller and lighter, a bit louder but not obnoxious, a bit more power is obviously a good thing, smoother throttle response would be nice. What's the best bang per buck I can expect from what's available in the UK? Thanks for any advice you can offer, Nomad.

    Hi all im now to this, great looking site thought. i have a yamaha majesty 125 scooter. the elec start keeps spinning when i press the brake lever it doesnt do it all the time just sometimes if anyone can help me with i would be very greatful. thanks very much in advance cheers simon

    I have a FZR400 1WG,which is running fine till I reach top gear, then after a few minites in top gear it starts pulling back as if it is running out of fuel - but it is not. I have put a new rectifier on but sometimes the idling still sticks at 2500 revs and then will slowly reduce back to tick over. I have also replaced the main jet "O" rings - but still have this problem in 6th gear - can any one please help. The bike is on a D plate but the engine is not original - it is newer.

    So I just bought my Yamaha VStar 650 classic. Rode on it for a while and decided to upgrade the exhaust. Went to a place where the guy is very knowledgeable and lots of friends recommended this place. Well I bought a set of vance and hines exhaust pipes for the bike. They sound great. When I give it gas it goes fine, when I let go of the gas is when it starts to backfire. I've heard that jetting should be adjusted after upgrading the exhaust pipes and that it doesn't. I haven't jetted since I put the pipes on. I haven't called the guy either. I will though in the morning. This backfiring has been going on for about 2 weeks now. Just curious if anyone has any tips on this.…

    Got a luvly 99 R1. ohlins fork kit and shock. bloody marvellous she is ! BUT been jumping out of 2nd gear occasionally. now it's jumped out forever ! heard that you can buy an undercut 2nd gear cog to solve problem. BUT WHERE ? any ideas ?

    Ive chosen the exhaust that Im gonna put onto my R6 - the blue flame evo 3 titanium. Now im wondering how essential it is to replace the gaskets I will be taking out of the old exhaust and also the O rings on the cooling system (i need to remove the radiator) when I fit it. I have a feeling I will replace them all anyway but if Im running tight for time will it be the end of the world? Cheers

    I know I'm going to sound VERY STUPID in a moment, but I need to know about the RUN wire on my bike. I have attached the KILL wire to one of the coil wires, and seems logical to me that the RUN wire would go on there too. Am I right? If not - where? And what amp wiring should I be using? I am using 5amps at the moment for all the controls. I also don't see why they can't be joined somewhere outside the handle bar control goodie....either there will be a spark or there won't.

    Hi Guys, I have a DT125R (approx 1992) that I bought non running for use a s a field bike. I have put the bike together and now having problems starting. I had to replace the CDI unit which is now working fine, I have put in a new plug and get a good spark with the plug out (earthed properly!!) the compression in the piston is good. The exhast is fitted and so is the airbox/filter I noticed the original carb had a pilot screw missing so I replaced the carb with one that I have been told worked fine on the previous bike. When kicked over the bike will start but idles very slowly for about 10-15 revolutions then stops. I can get it to star…

    does anyone out there know if the later twin pot calipers are a direct bolt on swop or do i need to change anything else to get them to fit as would like to change calipers but dont want to much trouble doing it!!!!! any advice or help on this would be great

    Hi there can anyone help me with a tzr125r 1992 carb problem. Im on with getting my tzr running after a total rebuild and im having trouble getting it running it will only start on the choke and when choke pushed in it just dies. I have removed the carb and cleaned it also tryed adjusting mixture screw but no difference tryed altering float level too but no joy . As anyone got any ideas

    Hi everyone, I got my first bike today and really cracking one in perfect condition and only done 10k. The bike is a 1999 Yamaha SR 125 and I am going to use it to pass my test. I rode round today and i think it may be restricted, got up to about 55mph and it doesn't really pull that well, which is why i think it is restricted, its' runs perfectly. Does anybody know if this is restricted and can it be de-restricted and how much of a job it is ? Cheers Steve

    I need help in diagnosing what model bike my XS250 is 1981 XS250 but i don't know if it is an RK or if it is a different model. From what i can see RK's have square headlights, my bike doesn't. RK's have a sort of tail on the back of the seat, Cafe Racer look, my bike has that but has a round headlight. Just need to work out as the mechanic is saying if my bike is an RK the pistons are no longer available. Engine has died and need to rebuild it.   20. Someone please help. I have a problem with wiringf on my bike/trike. No spark-checked all usual stuff and found that I have a permanent live to ignition coils. Unplugged cdi/ignitor and the wires from cdi to coils are live also. Unplugged relays 1 at time, but none have any effect. I`v also fitted full new loom, relays etc. Loom does have slight differences-wires from cdi in different positions etc, but I have cdi/relays specific to each loom. All other plugs line up + fit. Lights/switchgear working. Somebody out there must have the answer????? Even took the more technical approach of kicking it and swearing at it earlier, but even that didn`t help!
