Hello I am new here! I have a 94' xt225 Serow and I have a problem and I need help! I have no spark! I only have 1 spark when I first hit the starter button, then after it cranks the spark goes away! I just got the bike a few days ago and I really like it for running around town. I went to the local bike shop for a manual but no luck, they said doesn't look as if there is one for it. But anyway, I need to know what possibly could be the problem? Like I said earlier I get 1 spark when I first hit the starter button then nothing after it starts cranking!!!! Hi all, Although a bike rider for 19 years now i'm not much of a mechanic. I encountered a small (lol) problem a little while ago whilst on my way to work and wondered if anyone can give me any pointers. I'll set the scene, it was a beautiful sunny day and I was on my way to work, a nice empty stretch of road ahead so I opened her up a little and was cruising along at around 70mph, I changed up a gear as I was still accelerating gently (not thrashing at the time) onlt to be met by a lot of revs and no go, a missed gear change i thought, false nuetral or something, I tried again and nothing, the engine was still running and would rev fine but no gears, as I …

Hello all Iam new here and hope to pick a few brains!!! I purchased a 1981 seca 750 that is mint with only 3,200 miles runs and looks great the problem with it is the rear wheel is bent, like about a 1/4 inch of run out. it has no visable damage to it, its just bent, the beads are true to each other, so I figure go to the cycle wrecker, well I did and they have 6 of the spiral wheels, all are the same as far as being bent with only one showing damage, so I check out some seca turbo wheels there all straight but the splines are smaller, and the hub pattern is differnt so I can not swap the splines, are the spiral wheels defective or weak, any Ideas as to what to do, Thanks…

Hi all, Anyone had any dealings with a stuck clutch? The bike is a 1984 xz550, fully refurbed 15 years ago, not ridden since then. I've managed to free the engine and it runs a treat, but when I hopped on her and put her in gear she just bucked and stalled. So I guess the clucth plates have stuck. Never dealt with them and a little scared of taking the housing off tbh!! Anyone any suggestions on anything I can do with spending a fortune? Cheers Phatjap

Hi im new here and ive just bought a YZF 750 R which has covered 43000 miles and is in very good condition and has been serviced well by previous owners.The bike goes realy well but I dont know anything about these machines so can anyone tell me what the common faults to look out for are on them and how long should the engines last on these as well. Hi There folks!! Nearing the end of my restoration of the xs400. everything is wired up except the pilot/parking bulb (UK model). I bought a NOS ignition switch and it only has 3 positions as opposed to 4 on the original. This means that the connection to the bulb is missing. Now to the question; When does this bulb light? ie when the main lamp is on or when the key is left in the parking position (or both?) How does this fit in with the MOT regs? Cheers Drew

Hi all, Right i'm thinking off some engine mods over winter now i'm running a full system no exup on it with a k&n and set up on dyno running about 115bhp.need some tips on some cheap way of getting more power???Any thoughts?? Heard of putting thunderace top end on or what about fzr 1000 top end???Any one tried this or done some think similar. Also the famous oil burning now using about 1litre every 1000miles ish depends on how hard the ride was out. Whats the best part to renew as don't start doing rings and its usually the valve guides for example.. thanks for any help dave....

Hello, I've got 1995 YZF 750R (import) don't know where from though.. doesn't seem to want to rev above 9-10k without spluttering and missing, idles rough as well but goes great in between..? Only recently got the exup working, has improved mid range and not so much of a flat spot at 3k, new plugs and caps, (they were shorting) but still hasn't made much of a difference, and carbs have been balanced..alledgedly Anyone out there struck this before or no of any reasons and cures...? i'm stuck! cheers Pete

Odd problem: I have a 2004 YFZ 450, recently I changed the oil and filter and now the oil is being pumped into the motor too fast and filling crank case and sucking reservior tank dry. Any suggestions as to what is or is not working pro perly? I have racked my brain out trying to figure out this odd problem.

hi ya all!!! now can any one help i have a 94 yzf750 and few small problems with the clutch.when first go out it can be very sharpe and bite really suddenly but few miles up the road its fine.. braided hose in place of o.e and ive changed fluid couple of months ago(dot 4).. cheers for any advice..

may be buying 86 ypvs,it is fitted with microns dont know if it is jetted to suit as yet but thought about f2 pipes instead,unsure about running probs and fitting,any help or suggestions would be a help......Guv
