This forum has been a fountain of knowledge, but now I have run into an issue I have not been able to find yet, but that could be due to my not native English speaking... and having some difficulties with frasing technical issues... I have a div 900, 50K km on the clock, runs and starts like a charm. But since a month or two I have this little issue, mostly on mondays. I have a 1982 Yamaha Maxim XS400J, project bike. PO says it had sat outside uncovered for a year, and it looks it. No ignition key, so I hot wired the ignition switch. Installed new battery. Voltmeter shows current getting to all the places it should be when the ignition switch is "ON", but there is no spark. Water must have gotten inside the right handlebar switch cluster. Brake light, kill button and start button are all nonfunctional. I hot wired the kill button, and hooked up a temporary start button to work the starter solenoid. The engine cranks over fine, but no spark. I've traced every circuit in the ignition system right down to the spark plugs. This is what has …

Hi all New here, and really hoping someone can point a new biker in the right direction! I have a 1992 SR125, which I bought just a couple of weeks ago after passing my CBT last month. I've done a few ride outs, and on Sunday, rode it 65 miles from my girlfriend's to my dad's place with no problems. On Monday I fuelled up, and within about half a mile it started to lose power. It felt like driving a car with the handbrake being applied. Every now and then full power kicks back in (a little worrying, as at times I can have the throttle fully open and barely be holding 40mph, then suddenly it jumps to life again!). This is my first bike and I'm keen keen to learn as much as I can by doing all the manageable service jobs myself. The manual that came with the bike is next to useless so if anyone can recommend a good manual for a xt125 x then that would be great. With regards to changing the chain and sprocket - I've found sprockets for my bike online but haven't a clue what size and make chain to get and I also need advice on the correct type of rear paddock stand. Please help - My 2002 Fazer 1000 has a strange fault I cant figure out – From cold it starts well on the choke then runs and rides like a dream, but after a good ride when you switch it off, (either immediately when you stop or after letting it run idle for a couple of minutes), it will not start again afterwards. The battery is good, the starter turns over and over but the engine does not fire up. It will not be bumped at this point either (engine turns but doesnt fire up). i am having trouble starting my 1991 xj600n. it is turning over but not firing up. i know it's not the battery as is new but i have no idea where to look next to fix this fault. any help will be greatly recieved

Can anyone help me with the S4 Datatool Alarm (green) alarm only. I have had this fitted to my latest R6 and need to know how I can turn off the alarm and keep it off whilst I work on the bike. At the present I can only turn off to " ferry mode" so cannot lift seats without setting off triggers switches. Any help out there would be appreciated.

Hi I have a problem with my front indicators. one of the ground wires running back through the loom doesnt seem to work. Can i connect this light through the ground of the other indicator or will this cause problems. Regards Felix

Just wondering if i have 2 part numbers the same except for the first part would they be the same parts just for different models Like 4H7-82320-61-00 and 4G0-82320-61-00 so i`m thinking 4H7 and 4G0 are model numbers and the rest is the actual part number. I think i just confused myself

The starter motor on my div 600 is playing up - at first it appeared to jam, but would then clear and work normally. Now it turns but makes a `ratcheting` sound, as though the starter clutch is not gripping - it doesn`t turn the engine over. Some times it will work ok and then it does this - mostly this now ! Does anyone have any ideas - do i really have to strip the engine and split the crank cases to loo at the starter clutch ? any advice gratefully received. I am even considering a replacement engine from a breaker at about £200 as a quicker/simpler option ! Hi, I'm after a mesurement from the stem nut off an 06 R6, I've been asked to machine up a plug to fit in the bore hole and cover up the nut but I've lost the dimensions and I won't be able to contact the chaps till after next week. I remember the bore is 13mm but what is the dia' of the nut, there is a circle machined on just before the flats, its this dia' I need ???? I'm also after the same for an 05 R1. Can anyone help?

Picked up my 2008 R6 today (love it!!) Has anyone fitted a HID headlight kit to theirs? I would like it so both headlights light up. I have seen it done on a US website but was wondering if anyone in the UK had done it and if so what kit did you use? There are some on ebay and seem quite cheap are they anygood??

Can anyone help. I have recently bought a mint 2001 R1 but need to convert or adjust the headlights on the "widowmaker" as its an import, any constructive ideas or contacts would be apreciated.

so i layed my bike over at like 15 mph and the right foot peg is bent backwards looking at it i have no idea how to remove it and replace it the left foot peg is easy just a cotter pin but left seems to be riveted in any help would be greatly welcomed
