Hi, Looking to put a 1991 Dt back on the road, and am uncertain what the speedo variations are. I have seen Speedo to left and 6 light dash sets for sale, but want to confirm with someone that this is the right setup for my year / model? Can anyine provide info or pictures of the dash/speedo set up, for me to ensure I get the right one? Many thanks too fat

Hi there. I've got problems with my Dragstar Classic 650. I test drove it before i bought it, no problems, sweet as can be. Came home, changed the straight pipes exhaust to the original for the SBP (Swedish Car and Motorbike Anuall Checkup) Started her upp and the Engine Check light started lighting up (as it always does when you turn the ignition) But when i startet the bike, it startet blinking with intervals, 4 blinks, then nothing for 3 seconds, then 4 blinks again and so on, and so on. Checked the Workshop manual, which explains that this is part of the "Self Diagnosis" And that the number of blinks is a code for something, but the Workshop ma…

NO SPARK PLEASE HELP I have been given a tw125 by my granddad when he passed away a couple of months ago and It hasn’t run for 2 years after it stopped sparking one day. He left me a note under seat saying good luck max have fun which was a nice touch and What to get it running for him as well as me and will keep the bike until it rots away. So I would very much appreciate any help and advice to get it going again. Things I have tried Coil New eci unit Cut out switches on handle bar and stand New plug Could it be the generator and how do you test it , I have one of those multimeters but havent got a clue how to test the omes with it…

Hi ! I am having some ignition problems with my XJ900-83. Sometimes the spark disapears on 2 cylinders. It works most of the time so it is really difficult to fault trace. Does anyone have an electrical circuit diagram on this bike? It would be a good help. Does anyone have any ideas what can be wrong with the ignition? /Henrik

Just bought a 1986 Radian 600......Trailered it home.....I removed the battery cover to remove the battery for a charge. I found this loose connector. It came out near the base of the battery box and has a round connector on the end. It was just hanging loose. Can you Radian guys let me know where it is suppose to go? Jim North Augusta, SC

Bike is an SZR660 Yamaha. The engine is an XT660 single with the twin carb setup. It's in good condition and low mileage, about 8K miles. It's been stood for at least 6 months with fuel in it, I think. The problem is it won't rev at all. It's OK up to 3000 rpm but if I open the throttle too wide it just won't pull, it dies. It starts and ticks over lovely and sounds ace, nice and quiet. I've tried the following :- - stripped and cleaned the carbs, although there was no dirt or gunge to be seen - took the fuel tap off and drained the tank - put fresh fuel in - new spark plug - ran it without the air filter - removed the vacuum part of the fuel tap and run …

Ladies & Gents, Further to my 1st post it has been recommended that I use a Helicoil but I have had no experience of these, apparntley this can be fitted whilist the sump is in situe? Has anyone used a Helicoil before & how have they worked? Any views, ideas or experiences would be gratefully recieved. Thanks

I have had my 03 R6 on a trickle charger for about 1 week or so. I went to start it up and when I tried it just made a grinding sound. I stopped pushing the start button immediately and I heard a "ticking sound" kind of sounded like a relay of some sort. I think it is coming from the left side of the bike (when you are behind) kind of by the ecu, in the side part of the tail. Is there an easy fix of this, or is there something I can do to reset it. Is there a test I can do on the ecu to see if that is still good? oh yeah i did a voltage test and with the key out of the ignition it has 12V but when i turn the key to ON it just drains the battery p…

I have a xj900f (92). The front end is going crazy on me. very severe wobble at all speeds. I've had a mechanic check the headset - he says it's ok. i have a set of matched tyres, and i can find no unusual movement in the swinging arm. I'm wondering has any other owner ever had this problem, or one similar on other bikes. Any advice would be welcomed.

Hi everybody, I am a real novice at anything to do with bikes, normally get someone else to sort out the problems at huge expense. I have a problem with the running of my fazer 600cc 2001. It seems to be spitting at me when ever i put any sort of throttle on. Pulling away, it spits at low revs then might cause the exhaust to go bang the spit along (sounds like misfire) and then when it gets past about 5000 revs it pulls away without spitting. I i then try to open the throttle up, again it spits at me! Is there a problem with my spark plugs? I have just bought some new ones but thought i would ask any of you helpful guys before i started to mess around. Thanks …

Only got the bike today! was okay for the first hour or so and then the problems began. first of all the temperature light came on, then it died a few times and the oil light came on. next it wouldn't start on the electric start so tried bumping it which worked for a while then it died again and now nothing. ended up pusing it home i know it hasnt seized. the other weird thing is that the oil light only come on when you rev up. any ideas?? would it have been the rain?? any help would be great thanks will

Hi Any one any ideas how to set float hieghts on yzf 750r (93 model) haynes manual dont tell you much other than fuel level , how can i set floats with carbs off without putting them togethet filling with fuel then stripping down again, ive seen a guage for doing this but that dont give the hieght settings, Thanks Phil

Ladies & Gents, I am looking for some help! Me & mate started to service my 99 4XV R1 today, when undoing the sump plug I thought it semed loose, almost to easy to undo & when it was off and cleaned I unfortunatley found the dreaded threads from inside the sump, basically the p***k I paid to service the bike last year has over tightened the nut & basically torn the threads out of the sump so the poor bike is at the back of the garage not going anywhere fast. To be honest I am not what you would call mechanically minded, I can do the basics & thats about it so the reason for this post is to try to get some advice from you guys as to what can be…

Hi I have just finished rebuilding an XVS125 i bought in bits. I have been having problemss with the lights which are now sorted, however the battery went flat a few times when i was testing them. It goes flat very quickly, is this usual? I recharged the battery and started it up, it was running fine so i took it for a test ride. After about 10 minutes of riding i stalled it and could not get it going again. It started a couple of times and was really surging up & down whilst idling. Whenever i touched the throttle it just died. After a few tries the battery went flat and i have just had to push it back home. Does anyone have any advice as to what the problem…
