Hello there all. New to the forum and an owner of a 2002 WR 426F. Just wondering if anyone knows how to remove and replace the water pump seals on the bike?It seems to be leaking coolant from the hole at the back of the casing when I first start the bike up. Not sure whether the impeller is left or right hand thread, and the best way to jam the engine to remove it?? Also can anyone advise the best place to get a seal from in the UK? Any further advise greatly received.. Is it a fairly easy job to do??? Many thanks

I have a 600 fazer on a 2000 plate, it has been laid up over winter with the occasional 10 minute run. On using a couple of days ago the engine was roapy between tickover and 3000 rpm. Seems like a cylinder not firing correctly. I gave it a blast up my local bypass but no better. It had been about 4 weeks before its last run. Any idea's?

Hi i recently bought a DT125R and as im not quite 17 yet we took it up to a stretch off private road to have some practice. It was kicking first time and running perfectly. After about an hour however the bike started to jerk about as i was riding. The only real way i can describe it is the kinda thing that would happen if you pulled the clutch in and out over and over again quickly at high revs. I stopped, thinking that i must have run out of fuel, but when i shook the bike i could hear plenty. When i looked at the fuel switch i saw i had been running on the reserve (DOH). There was still around half a tank in there, but i topped it up anyway. I left it a few …

my fzr wont start unless started off on jump leads .then fires up 3 cylinders before clearing to 4. plug fouling is a prob but just seems to effect the same cylinder..also hesitate between 5-6 thou revs before going ballistic.ign or fuel?.any help would be welcome

Hi folks, trying to help a friend out here. He has a 98 Royal Star that was running fine before winter storage. Now it will only click when engaging the starter but will not turn over. He also says he has no lights ( I assume he means no lights at all, headlamp, tail and warning lites. I neglected to ask.) He says battery is fully charged and has check his grounds and wiring. Since the bike is 100 miles from me I have not yet been able to scope it out myself. I told him it still sounds like a ground issue if he is positive the battery is ok. Are there any relays or solenoids in the system that could go tits up or does it sound like I'm on the right track? Anyone …

Hi everyone! Have taken my 94 tt600r to 2 shops and they can t figure out what s wrong with it. When it is cold it starts up great and runs until it heats up and then stalls if you rev it up. If it heats up and idles it will run, as soon as you rev it, it stalls. Carbs have been cleaned, spark plugs checked, all pipes of carb have been changed, valves are polished - don t know - maybe it s the ignition or some electric problem. Maybe someone can help. Hi I am new to forum, so hello I was wondering if any one has had a problem with the charging system on a Dragstar, I have a problem, when I go for a run of about 1 hr or more, when I stop it will not start, it has a low battery. It has been back to the dealers 6!! times they have fitted new rectifiers new batteries. When it is in the workshop it charges with the lights on with them off, but go out with if for any length of time and I am stuck with a bike that will not start. Any help or advise would be very welcome

I have a 2004 V-Star Classic 650 bought new in June 2004. It only has 1650 miles on it because it sat for over a year in storage. I had to have the tank and carbs cleaned because they were gummed up and the bike would not start - all due to not stabilizing the fuel before storage (boy, did I learn a lesson). Well, after having the tank and carbs cleaned, it now takes almost 15 minutes for the bike to warm up enough so that I can push the choke all the way in and ride it without it bucking. Even with the choke all the way out when I first start it, it doesn't seem to idle as high as it did before storage. I didn't have this problem before storing it at all - full chok…

Has any one came across an engine vibration @3,500rpm till about 4,500rpm, yes cruise its a real bind, have tried carb cleaner carb balancing but with no joy, has anyone got a remedy?

ok i have a 2007 vstar custom 650. of course the stock pipes suck. i want people to be aware that i am coming so i am looking to purchase some vance and hinds short shots . i want to know if i should be re jetting or am i ok to slap them on? if anyone has tried this let me know the results please. if i do not rejet what should i be looking for for problems with out re jetting? thanks in advance

I've seen several conflicting suggestions about re-jetting with the addition of a Hypercharger and after market pipes. I understand the need but do I really need to mess with the needles? Second, anything wrong with the Kuryakan supplied jet kit? Thanks!

My SR 125 has just been sat for a year in the garden, although the battery is recording as fully charged the starter motor is't turning, it's just making a bell buzzing noise. I'm thinking the sarter motor is seized, so have tried to jump start it of Fazer 1000 with no result. Any ideas on how to get it started or is it just b*ggered? Cheers C.

i have a y reg xj600 pre diversion that will only run when the mixture screw is turned out about 7 times instead of the recomended 2 and a half,any ideas why and what it will do to the engine if i leave it that way

Hey, i am totaly new to the world of bikes and have recently got myself a XT125R (07). The place i got it from was kind enough to leave it with me with no charge in my battery. I have been out on it once but now the battery is very much dead. I have been trying to locate the damn thing nearly all day but cant see it. Could some one please point me in the right direction. Thanks ppl Dan
