I have just received a set of nearly new Yamaha heated grips but after re-reading the wiring instructions I am at a loss as how to complete their installation. The negative wire needs to link into the turning signal harness but the diagram they give is that of a FJR1300 (looks very simple!). Does anyone know how I can get access to the turning signal wire harness on a 2007 Fazer FZ1-SA?

Hi, Just got myself a 1981 Virago XV750 SE with shaft drive. The back tyre is rubbing on the left side of the swinging arm. I emailed the guy I bought it from to ask why but he never replied. Now the haynes manual says "Take careful note of the fitted position of each bearing before it is removed. It should be noted that any misplacement of the 2 bearings on the drive side of the hub will result in incorrect clearance between the swinging arm fork and the rear tyre." I reckon this is what has happened, so I took the rear wheel off. When I did the linings of the brake shoes fell off! So I reckon it's been on there a while! I had a look at the b…

I have a 2004 Yamaha yz85. It runs fine most of the time but some times at high revs it will suddenly cut out. I don’t think it’s a fuel problem because if I dip the clutch I can hear the un-burnt fuel back fire in the exhaust. Then when the engine has stopped I let the clutch out again and it will fire straight back up or if I’m stopped kick straight up I hope that makes sense Does any one on what might be wrong with my bike?

Hi peoples, got an old 93 yzf 750, she breaks down @ 4000 rpm, sometimes it will spit an sutter till she breaks free, and off she goes, taken out the exup cleaned greased, no differnce, cleaned carbies, no differnce, fuel pump, seems ok, starts, idles, and once through, (if it breaks through) breaking down stage, it actually goes ok. 37.000 klms on the clock, presume to be actual, so up for major service, so is it timing, valves throttle senser?? what ever they do, battery, seems fine never hurd of charging causing this When in nutural it will some times rev its tits off at first then will go into breakdown at the 4grand mark, so sounds like fuel BUT????? Help! sad.gif

Help me please! Winter is here and I managed to do all of the little jobs that needed doing on my TDM to get it on the road for the winter however it will not start. I have changed the plugs and am getting a healthy spark when turning over and have stripped and overhauled the carbs. I have checked all fuel hoses and none are blocked. Fuel is getting to the carbs nicely but the thing is still not starting. I have checked continuity from the battery to the engine to check that there is a good earth and that is also fine. So as you can see I am stumped. Being new to taking apart bikes and putting them back together, my knowledge is still building but the TDM seems like the…

I am debating on taking out the Airbox and using pod like filters by amsoil. Is there any adjustments needed to do this? or will the regular carb syncing and yics tool help do this? I have heard that you need to re jet and adjust but no real specfics on what is needed to make such a conversion. 1982 yamaha xs400j

Hello all, First day on the site and been looking for a while but can't find answer to my question although its probably here. Can anyone tell me what better brakes fit an 88 FZ750 without mods? The standard ones have braided hoses but are still scary.(bad that is) I've heard that the Exup 1000 front fits straight on but can anyone confirm that? Thanks
