Ok, gonna push my luck and shoot for two solutions tonight! Hopefully this one is less involved! Same bike - 1992 SR125. Th instrument panel bulb was blown when I bought it, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to access the bulb!! I even resorted to the Haines manual, but although the manual claims to cover 1982 to 2002 models, the section on instrument panels is titled 1999-on models! I believe after '99, the bike had a seperate headlamp fitted, whilst mine is integrated into the underside of the speedo panel. I did take the headlamp out to see if I could access the bulb from the underside, but no joy, and the top of the panel certainly doesn't seem to …

Hi to all, I have recently bought a DT175mx non runner and cannot get it to start. It had been stored for a few years. There is a healthy spark & have fitted a new plug. The carb was flooding, but have now replaced the float valve & cleaned the carb. The gearbox oil keeps getting emulsified, and the plugs keep fouling with a messy brown liquid. I have changed the oil twice, and tried running the bike up and down the road to clear out any moisture in the engine, but still cannot get it fired up. Any ideas ?

I have a Fazer 1000 (2002 model, approx 14,000 mile). Unfortunately of late it seems to have a developed a slightly sloppy gear change, with it failing to select gears smoothly usually when changing down, or when attempting to find Neutral. I've tried re-adjusting the clutch cable right to it's workable limit, and the drive chain tension seems correct. I did find I had some how overfilled the engine by about 3/4 Litre of oil, but this excess oil has now been removed, and the issue does seem slightly less. When accelerating hard from a stand still there appears to be no issue, no clutch slippage or missed gears. I don't wish to part with the bike, as I enjoy riding so much…

When I pull the front brake level the back light comes on, but when I depress the rear brake the light does not come on at all. I've pulled up the rubber cover where the 2 wires come down and connect on the plastic thingy, placed a key to make a bridge to so spk - then the light will come on and stay on. How could I rectify the problem please, anyone????

Does anybody know of an alternative, or a cheap source, for the lower shock absorber bearing on a 1990 FZ750. It is the spherical plain roller bearing in the bottom suspension linkage block. I've been quoted £39 for the bearing from my local bike shop and before taking the plunge, I wanted to check if there was a cheaper option. Thanks for any help. Steve

Ride: 2004 Blaster. Symptom: Clutch stopped engaging without much warning. What I know: A teardown of the clutch basket revealed everything looked good on the basket side. However, the ball between the adjusting bolt and the pushrod was missing. Worse, the "bearing surface" on the throwout pivot rod is chewed up pretty badly. Worst, the pushrod seems stuck inside the case, and nothing I can think of will dislodge it. I tried a shot of compressed air down the throwout / pivot rod hole; no joy. Tried snaking semi-rigid plastic down from the pivot rod end, to push the pushrod out, but the pushrod seems jammed very hard. I can, with some effort, slide the pu…

Over the next week or so planning to completely overhaul the brakes on my bike... got new calipers, MC rebuild kit, braided lines with SS banjos and plenty of DOT 5.1 high performance fluid... They will be like brand new but I'm not sure whether to buy sintered pads or whether to stick with the standard Yam OE pads? Can anyone advise? - Front pads are nearly brand new OE... not sure on the rears... I want awesome brakes...
