Hi everyone. I just brought tzr 50 2007. Its from spain. I think it has restrictor ( i think its CDI ) becouse i can't overpass 8000 Rpm. Where can i find that restrictor ( i know its electronical but where should i disconnect somthing ? ) And i think i should be in exhust (?) pipe ? Max max speed 46~Mp/h Please help me...

I've seen lots of SR's on the net that appear to have no battery. As the SR400 is kick start only, I wondered if it's right that you can ditch the battery altogether. If so do you need to add something to run the lights off?

hi guys got a big prob I have a virago 535 for one lol. but no my prob is my son pushed my bike over in the grass one day and now I can't go over 45 mph. I have replaced the fuel filter and still no change. there was a little rust in the old one. when it go's up hill no power at all. throttle all the way down. but crazy thing when it was pushed over this is were my prob began. plugs are dry black on both cylenders. and my fuel pump go's crazy sounds like clicking and clicking and clicking. i am at a lost now . can some one help please.

Does anyone know of an aerosol spray paint that is compatible with the paint Yamaha use on Thunderace wheels. I need to respray mine and I don't mind rubbing down but I would rather not have to prime, etc. Thanks. Tim.

hi everyone, ive done everything i was advised with the starter switch and now for no reason the bike has no spark even tho there is power at the coil, worried it could be ecu, any suggestions what else it could be? thanks ginge

FZR 400 rr wont start! I took the bike for its MOT yesterday with no problems at all. Went to go for a blast today and nothing!! Pressing the starter did absolutely zero. The bike is fitted with a Datatool system 3 alarm so i guess it could be immobilised by this but all the other features of the alarm are functional. The bike ignition will turn on and the exup valve will do its usual rotation. I've tried starting it in neutral with the side stand down and up, clutch in and out. In gear with clutch in and out. I'm not that good with electronics so please go easy on me! Thanks in advance

Hi guys, not been on here for a while as i have been away with the Army. so first off hello! Anyway i got a broken bike that needs fixing, it is a szr660 single. it has the same engine as a xtz660. the problem is it wont start i press the ignition and all i hear is a clicking sound. all the lights work apart from the indercaters (they just stay on) What i know, the bike was in a crash where the number plate went into the back wheel and riped it off including the undertray and wires apart at the rear. it then ran back home after bump starting it. the clocks were going mad lights on lights off etc. after he stopped at home and turned the bike off it never started agai…

Hi all This is a bit of a newbie question but will the rear shock from a Thundercat fit a 1996 FZR600R. The frame and swingarm look the same but i guess the differences could be subtle. Thanks.

Hi to everyone, I'm new to the Yamaha Owners Club and this is my first topic listing, fingers crossed it all goes well. I have to get a restricter removed from my XVS650 in the next few months, if I remove it myself will the bike need an engine re-tune.

I am a complete techno-phobe when it comes to bikes, i just enjoy riding them! I had a strange experience on my R6 yesterday, whereby i started braking fairly hard and then there was a clicking noise from the front of the bike (ABS?) and the rear wheel locked and the bike started to go sideways. Managed to control it with ease, but felt a little strange. Has the bike got ABS and is the locking rear wheel something to do with the slipper clutch - whatever that is - or was i just too exciteable with my right foot?

Ok last week i bought a pranged yzr 1000 the clocks were smashed so i seen some on fleabay and bought them.I should have took more notice of the guys picyure as when they arrived i found that both clocks are digital. The smashed original clocks are speedo mechanical and rev counter digital. can i make the ones i bought work on my bike..ie: new wiring harness off digi model (does anyone know which model it is)....any help appreciated.

Just bought an 07 R6. I had them put lowering links on the bike, i havent got the bike yet...The seat hight on the bike is 33". I'm only 5'5 does anyone know how low the links will make the bike??????

Hi, i got a dt 125 a few weeks ago and everything was working fine and then the right side indicators stoped working.. i got a new switch gear and there is still no life in the right side. The left side is fine but when i indicate right then try to indicate left it wont work. i have to pump the indicator switch in a few times then flick it left. i know it sounds wierd but any ideas?? thanks scott

It looks like there is no 'off' postion for the fuel tap , a first for me , guess that means I need to drain the tank somehow before removing it (for access to filters etc) , or am I on the wrong track?

Hi everyone , just joined. I have a '89 xj600 and want to change it's oil/filter , however the 4 into 1 neta exhaust seems to partially block access to the drain plug.... does one normally have to remove the system or can it be drained without doing this? Thanks in advance

Bit of a newbie to bikes so to be perfectly honest i have no effin idea whats wrong. When slowing down my bike makes an awful whiiring noise.it seems to be getting louder and is irritating the shit out of me. sounds like a bearing is knackered somewhere. anyone had similar problems??

Hi there just new to this Forum and site. this question has most likely and highly likely been done b4, but wots a good coolant for my bike? My local bike shop said you can mix all coolants(ethylene glycol) Except for a few of course. The brand he gave me was FUCHs Xtra long life coolant 250000km 5year change coolant one, well, for starters this is coolant for cars..Does not state bikes at all. And seen my friend today and he users in his WRF Nulon automotive coolant similar specs to Fuchs one. Can you use these on my bike? So is it safe to use car coolant on these bikes? IS it better to use a coolant which states is just for bikes then? Ive always used M…

Hiya All, I picked up my new R6 on 1st March 2008 and despite being told by the dealer to break the engine in for 600 miles and then a further 400 after the initial oil change, everyone i speak to says you dont need to! Does anyone have any advice about this or expert knowledge? Thanks. Dan

HI! WOULD A 03 R6 SWING ARM WOULD GO ON MY 2000 FRAME R6 NEET TO KNOW BEFORE I START TAKING APART AND GET STRESSED IF IT DOSENT GO ON AND KICKING OVER MY BIKE LOL THANKS IT DOSE LOOK LIKE IT FITS BUT I DONT NO!!!!!!
