I am soon to be buying a XJ600 Seca II With 12,000 miles on it for $1000 USD and the fairing were takin off for a "stunt look" and the gauges and fairings were all takin off to, well make it look like a xj600N but the lights that are on it now are after market and there are no Gauges on the bike. I was wondering if the if you can Use the XJ600N Gauges on the XJ600 with the xj600 seca ii and not get in the way with the new lights. I dont know the brand of lights that are on the bike but they look like the falcon set but that is not it. And also where can I find the XJ600N gauges for sale if they will fit? My Son wanted and purchased a brand new XT125R. It Cost him £2295 from wigan Yamaha last August or so. One night on his way home from work a "gentleman" pulled out of a side street....my son couldnt break in time and hit the car ...and prompltly flew over the top and landed on the Rd to await his soon nto arrive ambulance.....car bugger off...as did the car behind the car that hit my son and becasue they cannot find the registration number on the CCTV, we have to repair the bike. Sorry for the rant but it makes my blood boil... We now require fron forks complete ....yokes are ok...headlamp and plastic cowel ...ns plastix....handlebars clutch and break levers, front mud…

Hi, Can someone please help. I have lost my only key for the XVS 650 I own. Do I need to remove the tank etc to find a serial number on the barrel so I can get a replacement or is there an easier way? All help is appreciated. Thanks Steve

hi to all people on this forum. i have recently bought a 2008 r1. its my first bike and ive so far only done 150 miles on it. i would welcome any tips form any members on general maintenance as thi is my first road bike. it a great bike and looks awesome with the graphite paint work. could anyone recommend an aftermarket exhaust system that sounds really good as i am looking to upgrade quite soon many thanks Casey B (A True Scotsman)

So the bike is a non-starter. There was an oil leak along the seam of the crankcase on the generator side. I pulled off the generator, and the gasket is all messed, and there is oil all inside the generator. I mean its covering the magnets and all of the copper, pooling at the bottom. So I'm wondering how big of a problem this is. I figure the oil isn't supposed to be there (haha) even though there is slots from the generator directly into the crankcase. How extensive of a cleanup would this be. Do I need a new generator? Can I just get a solvent to remove the oil? I'm looking for a solution, and any comments are appreciated! Thanks.

hi people can some one help my fzr 1000 exup ru has a fault whare itl rev to just over 4000rpm then start cutting out.the bikes had a new ecu,crank pick up,plugs,coils,battery have even investegated the chargeing system and everything checks out ok, we found that if you turn the kill switch on and off the bike behaves for a while so i tried bypassing the kill switch and no change and the fuel pump is ok....ANY IDEAS????????????????

Yes I did search, just didn't find the correct answer. I have a 1982 XS400 Maxim with a turnsignal issue. The lights come on but don't flash, yes both front and rear will come on for which ever side I am trying to use. They are a normal brightness when on, just no flash. I already replaced the flasher relay thingy and it did not change a thing. I checked in the headlight housing for any disconnected wires and found 2 things: One is a green wire with a yellow stripe that was not hooked up, this wire goes back to the flasher hookup on the other end. I cannot see any place for the disconnected end to go, possible it is there for an emergency flasher (both lights) optio…

Hello, all- I've had intermittent issues with this over the years, and today was the last straw. When I'm rolling along, doing maybe 80/85/(90?) mph for a sustained period of time, the bike will just crap out. It's like someone turned off the key, not a sputtering, bucking, out-of-gas type stall. Today it was on the freeway in the SF Bay Area, and I was fortunate enough to have enough speed on to coast off the freeway. 4 or 5 minutes later, I would have been on a 4 lane bridge. I used to suspect a fuel venting problem, but today, after getting the bike out of the shop, I left the fuel cap cracked open just to rule this out. What's next? Coil? CDI box? Anythi…

I had took my carburator a part for my Yamaha 1989 Radian YX600 and did a deep cleaning. I need the fuel resistance O ring for the needle valve set. that the part where the needle sit in and the float on top of it. Where can I get the fuel resistance O ring ? check yamaha dealer but they only sell the needle valve set for $53.00 each. I dont need the whole set just the O ring. The size of the O ring is : 5/16 x 7/16 need four

This Motorcycle has only 1200 miles and is in excellent condition. I had remove the gas tank and clean it out good and now it like brand new no rust inside. I also had put in new battery and put new gas in it and change oil and oil filter. I also had removed the carburator and clean it . Put everyting back togetther and try to start but it wont start. anyhelp what should I do?

OK, between 3 and 4 thousand revs I get this rattle/scraping sound.... ONLY WHEN IM USING THE ENGINE TO SLOW DOWN or release the throttle (same thing I know) Any ideas? Ive thought about loose fairing... but why the noise between these revs? Flywheel? clutch? its doing in my nut.. lol

i have a w reg r6 it has done 23000 miles on odle it sounds noisey as it get hotter it gets more tinniy is this how the r6 engines are or is it TIMING CHAIN OR TENSIONER SHIMMS please if anyone has had this sort of problem would be good for some help cheers

Hi guys,lost my keys recently for my 1994 yzf 750.it was my only set and my steering lock is also on!!does anyone know where i can get a replacement?also i thought of breaking the seat lock off and having a key made to the number on it,will this fit the ignition? i know there is a seperate key for the fuel tank but cant remember if the ignition and the seat lock are the same key,thanks in advance

Alright here is the problem i have a 2001 yzf 600r and i was going to go change my brake fluid. i got all of the fluid out of the front brakes and the resivior. so i went to put new fluid in it and now the brakes will not pump up no matter what. I tried to bleed them the old fashion way it didnt work, i cant get the lever to pump up. then i tried to put a hose on the bleeder screw and pump the brakes until bubbles stop comming out. the bubbles quit comming out but still no brake lever. then today i went and got a brake bleeder. i hooked it up and took all of the air out i thought it was working great. but still no brake lever pressure. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!!!

after posting in the wrong place here I am again PROBLEM-- deep hole in power at 4000 bike just dies- BLERUGH! then takes off at about 5000 and runs ok the problem is a ongoing one Ihave replaced the emulsion tubes and am running Dyno Jet needles and K&N air filter Ihave checked the ex-up it seems to be ok ANY IDEAS ? OH SHES DONE 45000MILES NICELY RUN IN WHAT?

Hi, my Beluga is difficult to start from cold, once started and warm it will not idle, just cuts out, it runs great and fast but lumpy when slightly reving. Have been told it could be the choke relay at fault, can it be tested and where can i get hold of a new one? Thanks
