Hi, I'm new to this but would like to know if anyone out there has the same problem as me,I've had my R6 from (2007)new,bought last Oct and covered 3500 happy miles on it,only problem is,after I've given it it's weekly wash,it's left to dry before polishing,in that time, usually a couple of days, once restarted has throttle problem,at first it would stick on,screaming it;'s head off,now it's the other way, once started it ticks over nicely, but when twisting the throttle, nothing, desn't rev, nothing, this is only an intermitten problem and maybe only happens once a month,I've had it back to the dealer several times, but as there is no error code showing, they draw a blank, this …

I'm looking to but a Yamaha XJ600. The one I've seen is very tidy (1999) and has fairly low miles on the clock, 28,000. The owner tells me that it has a small oil leak from the airbox (?). What could be the cause and would it be expensive to sort?

I bought a 1994 XJ600S Seca II yesterday for my first bike. The thing WAS mint- under 3k miles only a couple scratchs and no dings. I dumped the thing doing about 35MPH and busted up the front fairing pretty good, scratched up the exhaust, shattered one mirror, and put a small golf ball sized dent in the gas tank. I'm wondering what other years will have a fairing that would fit my 94, as I'm looking to replace it since it has broken into about 5 pieces. The thing still drives mint (put 50+ miles on it today) and I'm looking to restore the cosmetic condidition the best I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated - I've had an eye out on ebay, but a 94 Seca II fa…

im fairly new to riding. ive had one bike before my present r6, it was a honda cbr and i never had any trouble pulling away or slow speed control. however on my r6 my clutch feels,, wrong? it only comes into action about 1 cm before its end. and ive tried adjusting it by the adjuster right of the handle. but no sucsess. i find its just not enough play to pull away smoothly. its either all on or all off. is it the way they are and just me? my friends gixer has about an inch and a half of play and i can ride it much more efortlessly. any help welcome as a new clutch is about 200 quid including laybour...trying to avoid it if possible lol cheers david

Whenever I get to around 50mph the bike just stops running and I have to pull over and start it again to make it work which is not very fun or safe on roads where I can get up to these speeds. Can anyone give me some tips or advice on why this might happen and how to fix it?

I have tried several different adhesives to secure the grips on my FJ1200, but can't find one that holds tight. I've tried Scott grip glue, even good old weatherstrip adhesive, but after WEEKS I can still move the grips. What works for you?

Hi, This is my first post as I have only just joined the group. I'm looking forward to exchanging views and ideas with like minded bikers. I have a new 2008 FZ1 (naked version) and have been looking for a suitable aftermarket can to improve both the looks, sound and performance. My dealer has advised me that I should retain the lambda sensor which is bolted to the side of the original can. However, all of the FZ1's that I have seen to date don't appear to have done this and just have a plain link pipe to the end can. Can anyone with experience of fitting an aftermarket can to this model please advise? If I don't need the sensor what do I do with it? I have narrowed my…

Hi there, I have a 2003 R6 and had the TPS (throttle position sensor) changed about 3 months ago, I fitted a power commander and used one of the maps from the web, the bike has been running fine for around 2 months, last weekend went for a blast and the bike kept cutting out but only when I stopped at traffic lights, so basically no idle whatsoever, when I switched the ignition off and then on again the bike ran fine for a few hours then did it again, is it possible that the power commander is causing this problem? because I haven't had a custom map created specifically for my bike? also I used super unleaded petrol a couple of times while out due to the garages in the…

It seems my battery is a little on the buggered side of functional. I do however have one for a honda cm 250 somewhere. If i put it in my yam sr 125 will it work, or will i break something? (This per-supposes it will fit in the hole which i havent checked yet, cos i dont know if its worth the trouble of finding it). Grateful for any advice, Beartrapper.

One of the fairing bolts on my 600 Divvy has rusted, and when I try to unscrew it the retainer underneath just turns round with the bolt and so won't unscrew. I'll bet I'm not the first to have this problem, so what's the answer? I can't seem to find a way to grip the fitting under the fairing. Go easy on me, I'm new here.
