I want to change my Cat grips as previous owner put hot grips on and they cause the throttle to stick. What size do I need as they are 125mm or 135mm? Cheers

Hi all, new here haing just bought a trike, I'm trying to identify the engine, the only stamp I can find on the crankcase is 5G8 ? Does this identify the engine as a SECA ? Also been looking to replace the downpipes etc with these, Yamaha XJ750XS Maxim Jama Originals, does anyone know if they will fit? Hope someone can help. Many thanks, Jeff

I've got a yamaha R125 YZF (as my first bike so no very little about them) I've done just under 2000 miles on it but was ridding them other day and was told i had whats called a "high speed seize". At the time it had a non standard exaust on it, the air box had also been changed if i get the STANDARD parts refitted do you think yamaha will fix it for free? **Also i have lost my service book.

I was wondering If there are any exhaust kits I can get for my YBR 125 08 to make it sound a bit depper and less "feeble" I know its not a perfomance bike or remotely fast but if there is anything out there just to change the sound ? Thanks in advance.

Hi All My Rd won't start when hot, I've change loads of electrical items and seamed fine for a while but now only starts on a bump start. I'm thinking of changing the piston rings next to increase compression? Any ideas would be great. Thanks for looking. Steve

On a Yamaha XS 250 Im looking into purchasing new front spring gaskets... Ive seen them on ebay, one pack contains two. How many oil gaskets are needed for the suspension???? Is it two for each side??? cheers..

Whilst cleaning my carb I managed to snap off the overflow pipe from inside the float chamber (oops) can I replace this? Please help.

Can any one help us??? PLEASE??? We are trying to locate a set of air cleaner joints to suit a 76 xs360. We have located and bought 2 but they all seem to be too small. Our measurements are 55mm, but the joints we get are all 50mm. Can any one tell us what the outside measurement of the carbi is meant to be? Thanks all in advance.

Hi All, Newbie Wilbur here !!!! I am an engineer in the CHP and Oil and Gas industry. I have been a bike rider for 28 years ( That Long ), have had about 90 bikes and performed may mods and even sucsessfully removed the ABS from a BMW R1100S, (Many Nights of head scratching). I would like to know what is required to remove the ABS from my FJ1200A ?? I have tried the search facilty on the site and because ABS is three letters I failed. Hope somone can help point me in the right direction as I was led to your website with a link to a member by the name of FJ12SP !! he apparantly has performed this removal and was wondering if he had documented it ?? Hi all just been out in my shed with my yam to start a few more little jobs on it ,got it running and found its misfiring.Now the last time i had it running it was as sweet as a nut ,i have not done anything to it so anyone no any reason its like this thanks (horse)

i recently bought a 82 maxum 650 in real good shape for $50, guy needed money. It cam with 2 catches one not so bad it needs a rear tire. the other issue i need help with. The PO said he was driving it home from work and it suddenly started smoking and blowing oil from somewhere,wasn't sure where. i added oil and it fired right up and runs and sounds fine with no smoke or leaks. i noticed there in no air filter element and the carb boots are a lil dry rotted? any help would be great im an ASE car tech but i'll admit with bikes i have alot to learn thanks and sorry for the long post Derrick

Hi all, I've fitted these headers (03-05) to my bike and I'm struggling to find a reducer so that I can fit the can back on. If any one has done this and managed to source a reducer to fit, could you please post the details. Your help will be much appreciated! Thanks inadvance Jim

Has anyone fitted a Scottoiler Dual Injector to their bike. I've ordered one to fit to my fazer. I thought that have oil drop on both sides of the chain would be better as I use my bike all year round. Any opinions appreciated.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and wish to tell you all hello from Malta! I'm not very technically oriented so please forgive my ignorance. Now onto my problem... When I first start the bike from cold it works like a total dream for about 2 miles. After this it begins to have problems "opening up"... It's like the bike starts hesitating and doesn't keep on accelerating through the revs up till 9000rpm like it did during the first few miles. My mechanic can't seem to figure out the problem. Hi all, I currently have a Remus evolution exhaust on my 99 R6, I love the sound of it, but i'd like it to be a bit louder, if i take the baffles out, i'd need to cut the exhaust up and shorten it and all sorts, but what if i dont like the sound afterwards? Is their a way i can listen to the bike without baffles in without chopping it up before i make a decision?

just passed my test n got a 2008 fz6n i had to get her restricted for my insurance. i want to take the restrictor out(need more speed!!!) n was gona hav a go at it myself but i need to kno if id hav to chance the mixture can any1 help me????

hello , i am new to this form and first post I just picked up a 1973 dt 250. It was a little loud with the tuned pipe, so I installed the stock exhaust it came with as well. It is running quite rich. The main jet is #210 and pilot is #80. Would someone know if these are stock or bumped up because of the pipe. Any help would be appreciated.
