Hi, I have just bought a 2000 Thunderace with 2000 miles full history. are there any problems with this model that I need to know about? I`ve just sold my 12 year old ZZR1100 and I`m sort of used to tinkering to keep it running well. any advise would be welcome. Thanks, Peter

Hi Guys, New on here... Ive just brought a 2005 XT125R. Unfortunatly the bike did not come with the handbook, therefore i have no idea what the tyre pressures should be? Can any advise please? I cant seem to download the handbook from Yamaha either. Can anyone help on this also? Cheers. Simon.

Hey all: I'm repairing a 1975 DT250B that was left to rust for years. Has anyone retrofitted newer shocks to this model/year? Any clues how I can find out what shocks might work? Thanks for your help!

Hello guys, I've recently had a M.O.T. and my front tyre need changing (I did already knew this) and I've had to wait 6 days for them to get me one. Is this normal? Plus they said they could ony get me a Dunlop as it needs to match my back tyre (my back tyre is not a Dunlop), after calling them on the 5th day they said they could get me a Pirelli. Which in itself is weird as they originaly said could only have a dunlop due to the size of the wheel. I really don't know whats going on, can anyone help?

Hi again guys. Seem to be getting a fault that I cant turn engine off by the ignition switch when the engine is hot but will turn off with the emergancy stop switch on the handlebar. but only does this when the engine is hot when is cold it turns off by the ignition switch ok......my bike is a 1993 yamaha sr 125. I think its pre ignition but what could be causing the problem

I have a shop manual that describes most work on my bike but it is vague on tensioning the cam chains. Any advice on how to do this?

hi everyone i am trying to put my dt125x back on the road..& i was removing the panels to repray them & noticed i cant see any wire's for indicators can anyone post a pic of where indicators connect too thanx alza

Not mine but m8s RD125LC. He's deciding to take test after 20yrs o me aggin him he decided to get 125 and ride this for six month, and take lessons and ride at the same time, fair do's... Problem. He managed to get the bike to run right after re-jetting and re-jet and ermmm re-jeting . And now has a leaking cylinder head gasket So he rang me the other nite and dreamt of fitting a Big Bore Kit while the head was off ( as you do ) So here is the Big question. Can you still buy Bore Kits for these? How Much? And where? I will happily pass on any info... Big Bore Kits, i remember my MB50 65cc Ortisa bore kit -60mph- at 16, sweet

hi all new to this forum recently got a dt125 lc mk1 drum breaked beast lol.. top end is goosed powervalve missing piston scored to hell... anyone know of alternative engines to fit maybe TZR. DTR.ECT any info would be very welcome thanx brian.

hi guys im new to this forum and need sum advice.. i recently bought a dtr 125 ( not sure of the model ) which has been made into complete off road and fully deristricted, it seemed ok when i bought it and after riding it hard it started to lose power in mid revs, then after getting home it wouldnt run at all, i changed the spark plug and hey presto it started again, so today i decided to ride it again and it went ok but with not much mid range power but iff you can manage to get past mid revs it is like a rocket, until it gave in and wouldnt start again and lots of tapping when kicking it over. well not kicking it over literally but i feel like lol so here i am th…

my m8s rd125lc is loosing power in top gear. pulls nice all the way to 5th put into 6th and it just keeps dying until your down to crawlin speeds, then your havin to nock the gears down to get back up to speed, and it all starts again any help i no he will appreciate...

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me? My question, basiclly I just got myself a 2002 DT125. wondering about the power valve, bikes a bit slow through the revs and not much power high up I have read that to "de-restrict" the best way is to bolt the valve open. So really, I'm asking if my powervalve is working normally where is the power? what rpm is the powerband? Basiclly I think its not bolted open as my bikes doesnt "fly" at 7k but if it was working normally would it open at 7k? anychance somone has a link to a diagramm of the PV (exploded ) or could it be that I dnt have a powervalve (but I doput that as they come as standard?im not sure) …

hi again! ok i really want to rebuild the top end of my yam dt125r but im slightly put off by the fact so far this bike has been a curse and something always happens with it . i have a few questions id be greatful if you could answer: 1. Ruff price of a rebore? 2.will yamaha sell over size pitsons/rings 3.ruffley how long will it take? 4.whats the worst that could happen lol 5. any tips or tricks that could save time or money? 6. before starting should i drain the cooling system from the waterpump? cheers all answers received will be a great help!

recently baught my dt125. its a 1998 model R reg. ive been reading up on how to deristric the bike. ive taken the "collor" out of the front pipe and im stumped on the power valve bit. i found this site........http://www.dtr125.net/tuningf.htm when i took the side cover off my bike i found that the plastic piece thats suposed to be connected to the end of the power valve wasnt een there and i was given it in a plastic bag when i baught the bike. in the guide it tells you you need to rotate the power valve through 180 degres and make sure the plastic bit goes on exactly the same way it came off. obviously mine wasnt in place to start with so my question is how do i posit…

I recently got a tzr 50 its a 2003 model. When I rev it up the oil and water temp light gets brighter. Any1 know whats wrong.

I have Yamaha tdr 125, and my vents aren't working... Thay should open at like 6000 or 7000 RPMs, but thay dont. any1 knows how to fix them ??? i rly need help

hello, im after any info regarding my brothers dt 125 he has just bought. the exhaust is putting out quite a bit of blue smoke and making a spluttering sound, it has a dep pipe fitted and i was wondering if anybody had experienced similar problems, im hoping it just needs setting up correctly and wondered if it can it be easily done. any help will be much appreciated. thanks
