Hi, can not find a wiring diagram but some lovely lad stole my stepsons T80 Townmate bike and ripped out the wiring. The bike runs now, lights work, but the whole ignition switch is missing and I assume it kills the engine as it is hand over carb at the moment. Any help with how the switch is wired/works would be appreciated as a new switch is more than the bike is worth. Was thinking of using a toggle switch as a kill switch if I can work out how to wire in the 3 wires. JC

Ok so i have attempted to remove the cat/restrictor from a spare expansion chamber for the DT125RE. It hasn't gone as planned so i thought i would post my progress to vent a little stress and maybe get some feedback from you guys as to where to go next. Here is how it looked before the butchery Here it is opened up. The part on the left is the pipe that leads to the silencer and the part on the right goes to the engine. I can't say a didn't swear a little (ok alot) when i first saw it. I wasn't expecting something as large and well fitted as this, it appears to go all the way along the pipe to the rust patch on the right in the f…

Hi all, I am new to the site but i need help. I have recently passed my cbt and to celebrate i bought one of my childhood favs, unfortunately on about the 3rd journey out i was forced into a puddle and 500 yards later the engine cut out. first thoughts were that i had water in the engine. so, i left it to dry over night. then decided it must be something more. First thing i checked was the spark..... no spark, I have so far changed the plug, coil and HT lead (didn't realise it was an all in one unit, got laughed at) but now a friend has asked if it has points, as this may be the root of my issue. I have done some browsing and i now know that it does indeed have points. I …

Hi all need some quick advice. I have my MOT soon and I have recently noticed my throttle has stopped returning, this is great on a long ride cause I can stretch my hand for a bit when numbness kicks in, but I don't think mr ministry will see it that way. Is there a quick fix I can do here as I have already needed new suspension front and rear, new tires and a new horn thanks in advance Charlie

Hi I have a 1988 FZ600 that I amtrying to get running. The guy who had it before took the carbs off to clean them andI have now put them back on. Problem is that when I turn the tap to PRI, fuel floods out of the othet two pipes coming from the carbs. My question is: Do these two piopes go into anywhere or are they overflow pipes and does the PRI usually make this happen or is it stuck floats? Steve

Hi guys n gals, its that pesky Emzed again I'm having trouble getting the "allen" screws out of the fork bottoms The screw is just going round and round and round, with no sign of un-tightning. The damper tube is just spinning in the leg. Is there a "Special Yamaha" tool to hold this damper tube whilst unscrewing the allen bolt ? Hope someone has a clue, cos I hav'nt and I'm fast running out of patience with this bike :-( (come back MZ's all is forgiven) Em

Alright, so I ordered a set of new adjusting screws to replace the old ones, because when I adjusted the valves before it didn't seem to work. So here are some questions. I know I'm supposed to adjust the left side valves when on the "LT" mark. However, when I reach the "LF" mark, and continue on to the "LT" mark, the left intake begins to move slightly downward, and continues to do so until I'm at the "LT" mark. When I tried this with the right side valves, the right intake did not move downward as I neared the "RT" mark. Anyone know if this is supposed to occur? Also, if I line up to the "LF" mark, there is free play in both rocker arms, after I've adjusted th…

Hi, new to biking and just bought myself a 1993 sr125. everything is fine with it except when revving high the lights seem to dim a bit. im wondering if its the earth wire that needs a bit of tinkering or a problem with the battery? When revving normally the lights to brighten which, i think, suggests the battery is running fine. any help would be great as the haynes manual doesnt suggest this problem anywhere in it. Also, any clue where the earth lead is situated about? XD
