    right lads i have my module 1 in 2 weeks iam practicning like mad but not sure if i should pay to get trained but even still they trainer will be booked so iam just wundering wat to exspect eg will he tell me/explain wat to do or will he just exspect me to no as iam worried as dont no wat to expect please gimie sum help thanks

    Thanks for bearing with me as I get my bike "tuned". I am having a problem when first starting the bike for the day. It doesn't want to start. It might take 10, 15, 20 kicks to get it going. Once going, it starts on the first kick. Compression is good, great spark, and fuel. If I stop and take out the plug and then put it back in, it starts right up. Am I flooding it somehow? I am using a 2 stroke oil by maxima called "super m." It is for oil injected bikes. Could this cause a problem? When I first start it up I turn on the gas, pull out the choke, and kick the kick start. I open the throttle as I do this. Is this the correct procedure? And does the remova…

    hi guys, hope all is well, just a quick question.... Some previous owner of my bike has modified the airbox on my bike, it is so bad i had to remove the the cover from the front to get the bike to runs properly. Does anyone if/where i can get a replacement as the bike is really loud now ?? thanks aaron

    Hi, im new here. Im 16 and have just bought a 93 DT50 as my first road bike. Im new to yamahas but love mine already so cant wait to get learning Anyway, my first problem has arrived. The guy i bought it from told me that it has been bored out to 60cc. But im not sure whether to belive him, can anybody tell me how i would know if it has been bored out? And what problems may arise if it is 60cc (ie, mechanically but also riding it on a Provisional moped CBT license? How would i go about insuring it etc? And would i be best taking it back to 50cc or is this hard to do? All answers very appreciated, i will get pics up soon! Thanks, Ryan

  6. can you help I just purchase A yamaha RS 125 custom 1998 i have one problem I can not get the electric started and not sure how to get to the battery to charged it if needed I do not know this bike very well as its being 20yrs + since I rode a honda 125 cb twin

    Hi. Problem 1 My front left indicator has stopped working and the rear left is flashing too fast. The front and rear right indicators are fine. I've changed the front and rear left bulbs and cleaned the connections with contact cleaner, but this hasn't solved the problem. Problem 2 The first time I change into 1st when the bike's been cold for 5+ hours (approx.) it jerks forward and stalls. Gear changes into 2nd and 3rd are also getting increasingly clunky and it sometimes sounds like I've run over a drain cover. My bike is an '02 Yamaha XVS 125 Dragstar.     Hi all, I'm very new to biking. Bought myself a Yamaha Dragstar XVS 125cc. I have noticed the engine is making a spluttering/coughing/popping noise, it kind of sounds like the engine is being choked. I have looked at the air filter and it all seems fine. Any ideas anyone? Much Love

    I ride a XV535 that has been acting up the last couple of months. Symptoms include the perenial Yamaha popping while traveling at a steady speed, engine missing on exceleration (1st through 4th gear), and missing at a steady speed ie around 45kph in 3rd and around 70 kmp in 4th. The popping could be unburnt gas igniting, however it is not loud like a backfire. The poor performance is not constant. You can climb on the bike and it works great...no problems. At other times it runs great but after it is turned off overnight or just turned off to fill it with gas it will start to run poorly. I've had it into the Yamaha five times trying to resolve the problems. They …

    hey all hows it going ? just another question if anyone can help me...? i have a 1981 yamaha dt 175 mx and my oil light has been coming on and off, its started about a week ago! i checked both the 2stroke and the gear oil and all seems well... so then i checked for air in the system and still no change... i really don't want to break her she's my pride and joy, can anyone shed any light on my problem ?? thanks guys, aaron

  11. Hi, I passed my CBT today so im now on the road! But i have a big problem. I struggle to get up hills, or even when the road gopes onto a small uphill slant. It rides ok and then as soon as i hit a small angle of height it starts to die down and go really slow. So then i down change gear and give it near fulls revs and it does the same thing The best i can do up a hill is about 20mph max in 2nd gear or something. Anyway, i got home and thought i might have been losing compression or have very little. So i took the hear off and the nuts on the big long studs were not tight at all (one of which had rusted to the stud and the whole stud came out) .…

    I've been riding my RXS100 for about 2 weeks now and when I bought it I was told it would get through a tank of two stroke oil for every 2 tanks of petrol. I've used about one maybe one and a half tanks of petrol since then and the oil level in the tank doesn't seem to be decreasing. Also when I kick the crank it often takes a couple of go's and starts idling at much lower revs than it did a few days ago, and I feel like the exhaust smells different but I might just be being paranoid about that. I'm worried that there may be a blockage in the oil tube and the oil isn't getting in to the engine. would it be normal for a two stroke to run for so long like this without oil? …

    I've a 1997 TDM with around 58k miles on the clock. It's regularly serviced and used for my daily commute for the past 3 years. A couple of days ago coming from work off the motorway I heard a strange knocking sound that seems to be related to speed and power applied, when you pull the clutch in she goes all quiet. I drove the last mile slowly home and put the bike up on the paddock stand. I noticed that there was a massive wobble in the drive chain especially in top gear at idle speed.     Hi guys , I have been here a while now , and have had loads of help too ! I have a 2004 TZR 50 and have had her on the road about a month now ( after a whole load of problems ) ! To start with she would bog down and splutter at around 6500 rpm , but after around 1-2 seconds it would carry on to rev up . This problem slowly got worse over time , until now she intermittently cuts out while riding (with the choke off) . If I put the choke on she'll regain power again and rev freely again and run fine , however after around 5-10 seconds she will die completely and refuse to run at all ....unless I take the choke off, after a further 5-10 seconds im back to the same sp…

    i have an 86 xj700 maxim , i`m taking the engine out to replace all seals and plate (she runs lovely so won`t mess with her to much), whilst i`m doing that i will fit another engine so she don`t hav to be off road . a friend of mine has an xj900 pre diversion engine he said i can have , i have been told these go straight into my frame hmmmmm , i`m not 100% sure about this so does anyone out there know ? keep safe dusty
